Their protocol and honesty is the reason I call them for any electrical need. Whether it was a large job of switching lights in hallway to LED light panels or a flick of the wrist of the breaker switch. They are always prompt in scheduling and the techs show up on time. I also love that they are able to provide me free estimates. They have done both large jobs and small jobs for me but I think what made this company just stand out even more was the last visit. I had outlets that didn't work and I had already checked the breakers. They came and checked the breakers, with a few more flicks than I had done, the outlets worked. I'll admit, I wasn't aware I had to flick the switches a few times, so I was glad to learn but immediately dreaded what the cost of this "repair" would be. Lindsey informed there no charge as it was a simple flick of the breaker. The relief! She said to let her know if anything additional pops up in the future. It is for this reason I will. DO NOT HIRE ALL-IN-ONE FOR ANY OF YOUR ELECTRICAL NEEDS. They're overpriced, will attempt to rob you blind, and then cross their fingers that you won't notice. Phil charged my elderly mother a whopping $2,500 to install new Ethernet wiring in her backyard. He insisted that the job would require "a lot of work" and initially provided only a vague, inadequately itemized invoice (please see attachments). Unfortunately, she believed and trusted him and paid this ludicrous amount to get the job done. When she later realized she'd been bamboozled and contacted Phil to question his fees and request a more detailed invoice showing exactly what she had paid so much for, he got defensive, asking her whether being issued a $1,000 refund would make her happy, only later sending her another modified invoice (please see attachments). What we noted at this point was the miscalculation of fees -- the $1,000 miscalculation of labor costs, to be exact. Again, my mother contacted Phil to point this out, and instead of offering an apology for an unmistakable and very careless and expensive error, he once again irritably asked my mother, "If I refund you $1,000 will THAT make you happy?!" Um, it's not about "making the customer happy" in this case, Phil, it's about correcting a glaring, undeniable error you or your billing department made and trying to uphold your company's integrity and professionalism. The fact that PhiI asked my mother the same arrogant question before sending her the second invoice showing the error in fees also makes me wonder whether he knew of the mistake but hoped my elderly mom just wouldn't notice or would become intimidated and back off. That's immeasurably shady. I also have to question the fact that the All-in-One techs get paid $125/hr. My father spent much of his 50-plus-yearlong career as a Harvard-educated engineer working on highly classified government-funded projects for NASA and the US military, and even he didn't make $125/hr. My mom had to learn to be less gullible the hard way, but I'm hoping this review will help prevent the same from happening to someone else. Shame on you, Phil, and shame on All-in-One. Would you be okay if someone did this to your mother(s)? Times have been tough, but that's no excuse to conduct business unethically. read more

My initial contact with All In One Electric was not as smooth as I've experienced with other contractors (plumbers electricians etc). It took several days to book an appointment for the next week. Only then, was I told it was for an "onsite estimate"and that once an agreement was signed, the actual work could be done. In retrospect, this should have been a red flag. George and another guy (sorry, can't remember his name) showed up 3 hours early. They both were super nice and understanding that I was given a later time by the office and had just gotten out of the shower. They walked around, said the office would email an estimate. Almost an hour later, they returned apologizing that the office hadn't opened, thus the delay, and verbally gave an estimate. $250 to replace existing ceiling fan and $100 to replace pendant light fixtures. I was looking to replace 2 fans & 3 fixtures. The total estimate was for $800. By my estimate, at an hourly rate of $120 (the norm), 2 technicians, 5 fixtures (no rewiring), should take maybe 3 hours at most? At AIOE's estimate that's over $250/hour. Most contractors bill hourly, which is why the need for an on-site estimate should have been a warning. I'm guessing the actual cost is the standard hourly rate plus the office's up charge. If you're willing to go back and forth, trying to book an appointment, then pay loads more, since they're onsite: I recommend All In One. For me, it comes across as manipulative. Just be honest about your fees. Why 3 stars? They didn't do any work so why penalize with only 1 star? 1 off for difficulty (24 hour delay in email responses) in booking. And 2nd for over priced charges. Or, you, the customer could hire an electrician who charges hourly. read more

Called multiple times, shared my contact, and based on their promise was going to get a visit but I didn't hear back at all and when I followed up on my previous conversations they seemed to be lost. I have updated one star to 3 stars as the owner contacted me and said they have trained their staff for customer service activities but I have not done business with them again to say if they really are doing what promised to do. read more

Rude and unprofessional. These guys were doing work at some place nearby and parked their van in front of our entire garage (which clearly marked with no parking signs) with their hazards on and walked away for at least 30 minutes, trapping our car, bikes, and baby stroller, leaving us waiting outside holding a baby, unable to leave. We called the numbers on the car several times with no response and finally had to threaten to tow them. When the guy finally came back to retrieve the van, he said "hang on, I need to make a phone call" and began walking away! We had to yell at him to move the van. He moved it up in front of our neighbor's place, blocking their cars. Then had the nerve to text us saying we were "a**holes" for yelling at them. Should I go park in front of your driveway for 30 minutes while you're holding your baby and then call you a curse word? Incredibly rude. read more

All In One came through in a big way. We were challenged to repair a 1946 home that had fallen into disrepair. The kitchen was shorting out and that was plunging half of the house into darkness. We were new to the area and had no idea where to turn for help. The first electrician we found online provided an estimate that seemed very high, and it was presented to us on a plain sheet of paper without any business identification. When we searched for data on their state license we discovered that it had expired and their workman's comp was also out of date. That's when we found our heroes - All In One Electric. They provided a legitimate estimate and all their license information was current and active. But the Big News is they saved us a lot of money. They showed us what really needed to be done. Today we had a partial power outage in our office, and flipping the switches in the breaker box didn't work, so Julio from All-In-One came out to fix it. The issue was complicated because the building is very old (built 90 yrs ago) and has a hodge-podge of ancient original wiring mixed with new(er) wiring, but eventually Julio found the problem- a faulty old fuse box in the wall that had been covered up. Julio was able to safely fix the problem, clearly explained what he was doing, and showed a lot of patience while we had to wait 40 minutes for the property mgr to come unlock some doors, all while maintaining a very professional, courteous attitude. I can't speak to the cost/value because I'm not the one who will be paying the bill, but I can definitely confirm that All-In-One got someone out to us really quick, and he was able to get us back up and running quickly. I provided the motor and fan blade/thermostat which I had received under warranty. On the scheduled day the technicians came punctually on time and within an hour replaced the parts. What a disaster. First off, when the technicians came to my apartment, they didn't know the job that was supposed to be performed. They waited 30 minutes for me to send a screen shot to my roommate to tell them what to do. How could you show up to a job without knowing what to do? Poor communication within the company. The real problem was when they broke the water valve under my sink. They used a wrench and over tightened the valve, leading to a flood in mg kitchen. The technician had to use my buckets and towels to clean up his mess because they came unprepared. The technician also thought the situation was funny and decided to post the event on his social media. Very unprofessional for a situation that was very serious. When I called Phil and told him what happened, he informed me I would be reimbursed for the plumber that was coming to my apartment (I had to call an emergency plumber). Since then, they have not responded after sending an invoice to the company. If you want unresponsive people and want more problems than what you started with, this is the company to call. Put your trust and hard earned money towards another company. Good luck if you use them. read more

Last Monday, my father in-law in Santa Monica called the office @ 8:00 AM and talked with Phil. Two additional phone calls were received, one from Phil's office and one from Phil, confirming our service appointment and Phil's committed arrival time.Fifteen minutes later Phil was at the house inspecting a rain damaged main electrical service panel. During the on-site estimate, Phil replaced several breakers that were water soaked from recent rains in order that we could continue to live safely in the house until Phil's repair team could arrive two days later to continue the repair service. Phil provided a verbal estimate and statement of work (SOW). Within 45 minutes after Phil left, we received a written estimate and SOW by email. Two days later, Phil's team was on time, just as we were told. They had all parts for the electrical panel repair. All work was completed on time. All debris was cleaned up, disposed in trash and area completely swept clean. As the home owner, they took care of everything!! Often, a resident owner does not have the opportunity to find a reliable local contractor-especially when the repair affects a major home system such as electrical. Additionally to find a contractor that is licensed, NEC trained and completes quality workmanship combined with responsive telephone and on-site visit contact, what more would we want? It's 11:15pm and I just got home after a long day in the office. My girlfriend had texted me around 8pm that the power is out and she can't get it back on after resetting all the breakers in our condo unit. I came home and did the same thing. Unloaded all the outlets. Tripped all the GFCI outlets. Went to the dog house on the side of the building to check the main breaker - looked fine. I was honestly puzzled. What the hell? Called my HOA service line - typical rude service from my HOA's contracted service company. Asked for an estimated time that a technician could call me back... operator simply responded, "I have no idea" and hung up. Desperate to get my power back up to finish up some last minute work, I started searching Yelp on my phone. Thank God I left that charged in all day.. plenty of juice. Searched for an electrician that was open at 10:45pm... All-in-One Electric popped up. Gave the office number a call and went straight to voicemail. At this point, I had calmed down and accepted that nothing could be done between now and 6am. Then, less than a minute later, I receive a notification for a missed call and a follow up text from Stuart. Clearly I woke him up, but he answered the phone in a professional and polite manner, despite the fact. He walked me through it and explained how sometimes old breakers look like they're not tripped, but in fact are because they get stuck. He simply suggested to go down and play around with it, and if that didn't work, he'd come by in the morning. (I didn't know which breakers were mine since they're not labeled... I just guessed and got lucky). Honestly, this is an embarrassing story on my part because this is a simple fix and a huge oversight on my part, but this is to applaud Stuart's service, patience, and accommodation. Jefferson, Kevin and Moises worked on the circuit breakers and electrical wiring on my property. I had been having power outages and wanted to prevent as much as possible any future outages.
