As I had another service after the massage a robe was left for me to put on so I could walk to a different room. The robe is not plus size friendly! My next service was a dermaplane facial. Again, did not like her technique especially when it was time for the dermaplane; nearly felt like she didn't know what she was doing. I paid a total of $240 for both services. He was polite and did take the time to ask about any problem areas. He stated he does body work. At the time I had no idea that was different from a relaxing massage. It just sounded like a way of listening to the body. There was alot of focus on my upper body (shoulders, front and sides of neck and in between shoulder blades) which is where I stated I feel the most tension. I didn't receive a whole body massage. There was alot of what seemed like working on different pressure points throughout the body, I don't know if that's the way to word it but it definitely wasn't a massage like I have experienced with past therapists. Also, there was conversation the ENTIRE time. I couldn't be rude and not respond but a relaxing massage to me is one with no talking unless I am signaling pain or the therapist asks about the level of pressure. I was really looking forward to a nice relaxing massage since it had been years since I had one but that's just not what I received. Bummer. Noting the place was really nice, clean and welcoming. While my massage therapist Faith was great. The concept of Massage Luxe is what drove me to NOT get a membership nor come back again. Duly noted in their fine prints. There's a 10 mins to get undress and 10 mins to get dress at the end of the massage. So that leave me 40 mins for the actual massage. While Faith did fix my most important areas. The 40 mins didn't really leave room for other areas. She just runs your hands thru it. Again the 4 stars are for Faith. I feel soo much better after she's done with my shoulders, arms and neck.. Her hands seem to be magical. But as far as the whole concept of the massage Luxe. I would've been paying $75 monthly for a 40 mins massage or without membership. It's $120. I wouldn't say it's a good bang for my bucks with I'm already tipping 20% on top of that. Especially with everything being soo expensive these days
