It's a treat to work with another Type A personality like me. Michael told me there would be a delay in trimming our trees because it is their busy season. He came the following day to give me an estimate, which was reasonable. He scheduled me for a couple of weeks later. On the day of service, he kept in close contact with me regarding any changes to the arranged time. On the day of service, he came with at least 3 workers to just trim 3 trees and some branches on our back wall. He stayed until the job was completed. Midway through, he asked me to come out and let him know if I was satisfied. They put up boards to protect flowers and a window. The trees were crowned/shaped very nicely! After the work was done, they used a grinder for the branches, and removed them in 2 commercial vehicles. It was a lot of resources for a pretty small job. So happy to have located them! read more

We called Tim for the first time last year. We had purchased a home a few years ago that borders an alley/apartment building, and had a large natural 30+ foot"fence" of bamboo to block the view and provide privacy in our back yard. It didn't take long for these to get way overgrown and messy. I got estimates from multiple companies, and Tim was right in the range with everyone else. Tim and his crew arrived right on time with the large wood chipper. Upon arrival he offered to trim some of my large palm tress for a minimal extra charge (compared to other estimates). The work done was excellent. They were quick and respectful, frequently checking with me to confirm I was okay with details (ie height, etc). They cleaned up the work zone and no mess. It has been a year, so again needing trimming. I hired Timberland again after he gave me an even better price as a return customer. The crew again arrived right on time, confirming with me on the way over (as I requested so I could put away the dogs). Again the work was perfect and quick with great clean up. The only thing I could say at all negative was that it was initially hard to confirm a date. It seems that I am not the only one who appreciates their work, as they seem to be extremely busy, and sometimes take some time to get back to you. Mike came out with the crew at 8 am, as promised and it is just about 11 a.m and they are done doing the parameter of the 10 unit condo complex that has Sycamores, Jacaranda's, Eucalyptus and more. Tis is the second time they have come out, the first time in 2013. We were errant as an HOA and let the trees fo one year too long. We are now on an annual schedule. We used Timberland to remove a very large queen palm. It was a nice experience. The palm was close to our house and I voiced my concerns about the fronds hitting my newly installed rain gutters. I got estimates from 3 tree services and Timberland was the only one that was one time, listened to what I wanted, and the only one to point out that our Chinese Elm had a fungus/disease. They were also just as competitive as those that showed up late but Tim seemed much more knowledgeable about the trees and took the time to listen and explain what he needed to do. I see Timberland Tree Company cutting down trees in my area all the time (Westchester/LAX area). I needed tree mulch for my large front lawn and unused space in my backyard. A neighbor who helps with the church community garden suggested I give them a call. I was a bit embarrassed because I was hoping to get a a truckload for free. When I saw a Craiglist from another tree service company (outside my area) to deliver the mulch, he suggested I contacted a tree service company in my area since the time and cost of him delivering to me would be a bit high. So, I finally sucked it up and called Timberland. They were glad to deliver a truck load and for FREE! Apparently, the green waste dump is fairly far and it cost them money to dump it, so they were willing to drop off. Since the mulch is for a vegetable garden area, I was assured that the trees were healthy (no disease and not a palm tree). I was ecstatic! BEAUTIFUL WORK! I recently had my OVERGROWN trees (2 XL ficus & 2 large magnolias) reduced. I was very concerned the trees may suffer, look untree like, and loose the simple beauty trees provide. Mike gave me an estimate on Monday and had a 4-person crew at my house on Friday. I needed a Queen Palm tree next to my garage taken down b/c it's roots were starting to push up the hardscaping in the yard, and I was worried it would start to affect the garage. My blue palo verde tree recently died from a beetle infection and I needed the tree removed. Tim was very prompt in calling me back, getting me a quote, and scheduling for his crew to come out and do the job. Chuy headed the crew that took the tree out and grinded down the stump. I have an avocado tree that recently had termite damage on one branch that was beyond my reach. I needed someone to cut and properly seal the branch, and assess how far the damage extended. I received the recommendation for Timberland from a local nursery. Previously, I had seen Timberland trucks around my neighborhood. And, most of all, I needed an arborist to assess the health of my tree. I called Timberland and spoke with Mike, who was able to come out the next day. Mike looked the entire tree over and gave me an amazing price to handle the damaged limb as well as sealing or resealing any other limbs where this would be required. Mike said he would work in my small job when his crew was in the area, and he would call me when he could send a crew over to do the work. To my surprise, Mike called me the next day and was able to come out that afternoon. Not only was the damaged branch taken care of, but Mike checked the entire tree out and had his worker cut and seal other areas of the tree. Timberland did great work. My small job was treated with great care Timberland exhibited both knowledge and professionalism. I felt they cared about my tree! I highly recommend Timberland. I used Timberland Tree to trim my trees,hedges and remove some tall hedges. Things went well and fairly quickly. When they left I noticed one of my irrigation hoses sticking straight up in the air. When I turned on water shot everywhere. I called to have come back and fix. The came back the same day to fix. Time passed and I noticed plants dying. When I started to look into I noticed the soil was completely patched and it seemed to have not received water in quite sometime. We looked more into the problem and found that the irrigation hoses were cut in 4 other places. Right where Timberland removes our hedges. I called Timberland to complain and see if they would offer some kind of compensation for the dead plants that needed to be replaced as well as the cost of repairing since they cut the hoses. I spoke with Tim and he was completely rude and didn't feel they should do anything about it. He said that is just what happens when you remove plants. Sorry - I don't think so. He was so unprofessional. He asked what do I want him to do about it. I explained the cost and asked him to think about what he thought was fair and call me back. Never heard from him again. I'm so disgusted with him and this business. I will never use again or recommend. Complete, unprofessional, jerk! read more
