Reached out to A-Tire to make an appt for brake work and new tires. First person to answer didn't say the business name then proceeded to hand off the phone to another person. I repeated why I was calling then asked when a good time for me is. I said afternoons and weekends. He then proceeded to say, afternoons don't work as no one is there to look at brakes past 4pm unless it's like a Saturday. I then said that was fine. They asked what type of car and if I had the size of the tire which I did not. He then said they would need this info. and I asked if I should call back with the info and he said yes, then we ended the call. Like I'm literally calling you to spend my money at your business but you let me go without securing the appointment. Make it make sense. read more

Went to A-Tire to have a flat fixed and they seemed genuinely helpful so I decided to just buy 4 new tires to install a few days out. I had asked them to just take a look at my brakes since the tires would be off. I get a call that I need new pads and rotors. I was surprised since my brakes did not grind at all. Then he proceeds to tell me that my rear shocks are shot and they cannot align with the new tires until the shocks are replaced. I told them I did not want any of that extra work done. Ended up taking my car to my Ford dealer and it was confirmed that I do not need brakes or shocks. Be very careful of these guys, bit shady to me. read more

I have been bringing my car to A-Tire for over a year now for oil changes and have been quite pleased with the service that I receive. For the first time I called them for repairs to look at a coolant leak and an oil leak that I was having. They were able to get me the very next week and after I dropped off my car, they called me back the very next morning to inform me of the problem and gave me a quote that was quite reasonable for both issues. I was very happy with the work that was done. The guys were so nice and did everything that I was informed they would do. But I was so surprised to find that they cleaned my car so nice, inside and out and they even cleaned my rims which were black with brake dust, my rims were shining as I drove up to pick up my car. I would take it here for my oil changes, but no more. Each time they do not call me to tell me that my car is done when i've dropped it off. I've had to call them. This time around I stayed inside and waited, they never told me my car was done, i walked around and saw it upfront with the window half way down WHILE it was raining/snowing. Who does that ? Why was the window even down to begin with , to air out? I was disgusted at the service and how I was treated when it came to letting me know my car was done. My 74yr old aunt stopped at a place because her tire kept losing air, they almost scammed her into buying 2 rims because 1 rim was bent, and supposedly unfixable, and she would need "these matching rims" so her car would be stable cause they were smaller than original rims, she was so upset and decided no, she went to a tire, they were able to fix the rim and send her in her way to get her grand daughter to drs appt!! Round Lake PD only uses this company. My car was totaled, and the company treated me like garbage through the whole ordeal. Not sure if it was the company owner that I had to sign my vehicles title over to with an additional $500, but he left mid conversation multiple times and came back each time still chewing a mouthful of food and talking to me, spitting food out with each word. The same guy was extremely rude over the phone, and got a very nasty tone when I said which car was mine. Would not recommend to even my worst enemy. Additionally, the tow truck driver that had picked up my car carelessly dragged the car onto the flatbed, screeching the tires across the road, and I was not told until the driver had left that I was required to give up my key to the car upon pickup. I had to uber from the accident, to the company, give up my key, and then uber back. I cannot stress it enough how unprofessional this company is and how they will try to scam you and screw you over. Zero star ! Towed 2.3 miles ,charged $295 is a rip off ! This is the worst company I ever deal in my whole life . As far as I know ,local police department (Round Lake Bleach police department ) only called this company ,no other towing company . I do not know why ? My family number was too sick to drive , police sent him to ER , police did not ask anyone picked up the car , had towed to A-Tire's lot . It was about 2.3 miles ,$295 towing fee + $120 storage fee ,we had to get paperwork to police since it was not our car . For 2.3 miles , A-1 tire charged $10 flue surcharge , gas is cheap ,about $2.5 a gallon now . A-1 tire charged $25 to mail paper work .... My brother-in-law was in a terrible accident yesterday that he was, honestly, lucky to walk out alive from. Today we came here to see the car, grab his belongings & figure out some of the financial aspects. When we arrived, we all came inside to figure out what needed to be done to see if we could help. Margie, at the front desk, was working. She was rude, short, insensitive, unsympathetic and straight up a crab to work with. She sounded like we were bothering her just because we were there. While I understand and fully expect her to not be able to keep up with every car & it's story, I DO expect decent customer service, respect & someone who wants to HELP us. Some sympathy for people & their situation + a smile also wouldn't kill her. Will not recommend this business to anyone. read more

I had no say in who took my car when it was totaled. I went to A-Tire today to pick up incidental items left in the car. The cashier was down-right impudent. She demanded payment to look & see what was still there even though we had a 3-way phone agreement that said otherwise. I backed down and will wait for a refund from my insurance company. The guy who got those items was much more understanding. I compliment him for his great attitude. However, one of the other techs was less than cordial when I called from home about 10 minutes later. When I realized that my garage door opener was left in the console. I requested to see if it was still there so I could pick it up. He claimed he could not waste the 3-4 minutes to look even though the repairmen were doing nothing just a few minutes earlier. I will NEVER go to this service again! read more

I had my vehicles serviced there. One of the workers damaged (dented) the door to my truck quite badly. The told me to get a quote and come back to settle the issue. When I came back, the person could NOT remember that the they damaged my vehicle. To top it of the owner STORMED in the room and instead of trying to be helpful, he was extremely belligerent. Do not let the low prices lure you in, they have LOTS of unnecessary(read hidden) fees. Owner was very unpleasant and quite honestly rude. They told me over the phone what the price of what I was trying to get done cost knowing what type of car I had, and when i went to get the service done they told me it would cost double what I was quoted AFTER they had completed the service. The worst service ever!!! Car was towed there from an accident and when I went there they first couldn't find it from 5 hours ago and then I had to search for the person I was told to see. After looking at the damage asked if they could take a look and give an estimate as I was paying cash, was told no problem. Barely made it home and got a call saying they don't WANT to do it, they short handed. Then was charged a daily storage fee for the car being there 5 hours on the same day, not even overnight. We really appreciate the great service, outstanding customer service and quality repairs made here. We pass other Goodyear service stations to come here. They treat everyone extremely well and only recommend NEEDED repairs. We are having significant repairs done and they offered to take us home and pick us up. They recommend doig what will make the car safe to drive and anything that is needed but not dangerous, they work with getting the repairs within our budget. They treated the women who came in with dignity and listened attentively, explaining everything in easy to understand terms. We will take all of our cars to them. read more

My battery died and A-Tire came out quickly to jump it. This is the 2nd time I had trouble with this battery and decided to get it replaced before it happened a third time. Rating of the shop is "zero star." Extremely awful and rude customer service. Towed my car for less than 2 miles charged me "arm and a leg" $350. This place will totally take advantage of your misfortune and charge you for storage fees on days you cannot pick up your car due to them being closed. Left without a choice of where my car was towed and what I had to pay. They hung up on me when I complained about the excessive charges they were charging me for something that I never agreed to. my car was involved in a minor accident (fender bender) and was towed by A-Tire (without my consent) later on i found out they have A CONTRACT with the police, so the police call them! i was down the street from my house, and the police/tow company would not allow me to interfere with the towing! they charged me $450 JUST FOR THE TOW, and $45 for every day it sat in their yard (even days they were closed) i went to retrieve my car the day after the accident and they wouldnt let me take my car OR even get my belongings! now i have to wait until MONDAY to pick up my car, which will cost me an extra $200 in storage fees! ALSO one of their EMPLOYEES has been harassing me on Facebook about the incident! very unprofessional and rude! read more

My car got towed and when i went to pick it up the guy was a total a**! i misheard him on the phone about the amount i had to pay and then he started yelling at me for no reason when i was being calm and apologetic. i told him i was going to go get more cash from the bank and he was still rude. Also he told me "I am not a fucking idiot. i know you are trying to scam me out of my money" First off he should not be swearing at a customer and accusing me of things when it was an honest mistake. While he was yelling at me he started to get out of his truck like he was going to get in my face. i felt VERY threatened! Went here to get an estimate on a repair of an exhaust system on my car. Was quoted best case scenario $1,500.00 Worst case scenario $2400.00. Decided to not have the work done as the car was not worth it. Went to another Goodyear in Hoffman Estates where I use to live and they said worst case scenario $950.00. Not sure why there was such a big difference however the car is now getting fixed. I was planning to get tires from A Tire Country however I will drive back to Hoffman Estates where they are more honest with there prices. Great shop with towing service. I've had to have my car towed here twice for repair and been amazed at the high quality of service both times. The tow truck driver is very nice and always has a smile. The mechanics really know their stuff and do an excellent job of diagnosing all the problems. Prices are fair considering how expensive auto repair can get, both my bills came in under $1k but over $500. I wish I had a house with a garage to do the work myself, but for now I trust these guys with all the work. read more

i would rate them a 0 but that wpuldnt make it ratable. i bought 4 new tire from them all brand new and found out they were already 2yrs old. plus they broke my sensor and screwed it on and sodered it instead of fixing it so had to take it to hyundia to gwt it fixed and coat me $350. also a-tire told me i needed a rear alignment that the adjustment screw frozr so would have to be broke off and the new part ordered another $350 yet hyundia did it no problem for $130 plus when they changed ny tires they broke all the inseets so i had to find them and order them and they put them on for free. maybe its because i am a women and i am blonde but they screwed me good and shame on you a-tire you should be put out of buisness. i also heard now through other people of simmilar shinnanigans. wish i knew that beforw i wastes good money on people that take you for a ride. would never recommend anyone to go there. save youraelf time and money. go anywere else! read more
