After booking I reached out several times to find out where the pickup location would be. The responses were sparse and not helpful. It turns out that they use a bot to reply to most of their inquiries. Yikes. It is a little unnerving to not know any pickup details until the important rental day. The location happened to be much further away from the event than anticipated. This caused us to use "excess miles" which they tend to gouge you on ($280). When everything was said and done, this $1299 rental ended up costing $2160. They tend to nickel and dime you on everything from a $25 fuel convenience fee, fuel charge $60, a $75 vehicle prep fee, a $51.96 booking service, MV Rental/Tour Tax $123.41, and sales tax $146.55. I loved the car, I did not love the process or the end cost. If things were a little more transparent, I would have likely chosen a different car or a different company.

Current Creek campground is a large place with 4 loops. My favorite is D loop because it's closest to the lake. Bathrooms have flush toilets but no showers. Each camp site has a picnic table, grill, fire pit and concrete pad. The camp host station sells ice, firewood and some bare essentials. The star of the show is the lake. Usually you'll find me sitting on the shore waiting for a fish to bite. I've caught rainbows and tiger trout. But even if you don't catch anything the views are spectacular. If you should get lucky and decide to keep your catch there is a fish cleaning station by the boat ramp. Directions, there are 3 ways to get there all involve a bit of graded dirt road. You can take hwy 40 to the Current Creek Road and drive up next to the river, then around the lake. Next option is to turn off hwy 40 at the chicken creek area and take FS road #82. The turn is just before the UDOT facility. Lastly you can take center street from Heber past the Timber Lakes community. There is no cell phone service at the lake or campground. :)

While the nature is beautiful, the owners are a NIGHTMARE!! We were there for 2 years. In that…read moretime, the daughter first "ran" the place. Ultimately, she let the maintenance man run everything and turn the resort into his own personal playground. He closed one bathroom and one shower for his personal use in the off season. There are only 2 of each in the whole resort. Then he altered the water heater to the remaining shower so you would only get about 5 min of hot water. The daughter would harass all the longterm tenants. We weren't allowed to talk to our neighbors. We weren't allowed to tell anyone we lived there. We weren't allowed to have the basics outside (hang up wet swimwear, a fire pit, bikes, etc.) that anyone who was just spending the weekend would have. She would constantly tell us that she could get rid of us anytime. When the parents took over, they erased everyone's reservation and didn't inform us, putting our lots up for rent on the website. They doubled the rent a day before it was due. They harassed my autistic children by insulting me in front of them when I wasn't there, and chasing them out of a park-wide celebration. Whenever my kids dumped the waters, they would give them a sideways stare making my kids uncomfortable and one too scared to leave the RV. I even spoke to multiple people who were just staying the weekend, and they told me how terrible the owners have been to them. They have been telling us for years that they are getting sewer hookups. The site pictures even show sewer hookups, when there are none. Just a pipe cover in the ground. The resort is next to the water and the county will not allow sewer lines that close to the water. So, if they tell you hookups are coming soon, just know it's not true. DO NOT give your money to these people. This resort is run by a billionaire family who owns the mountain. They don't need the money and you don't need the headache. If you want a place to relax, you will not find it here.
