Do you have nice blinds that are dirty but still in great shape. This shop is fantastic. You take the blinds down bring them in. They say turn around 7 business days. I've never waited that long. When you get your blinds back. They look new: the strings are clean and it's like having brand new blinds. Would highly recommend the service. We had 3 blinds done. After a cord snapped on the cellular blinds covering a six-foot wide window we looked for someone who could repair them, ideally at our house. We tried a contact who was highly praised on NextDoor but who never returned our phone calls. A to Z responded immediately, and Tina, the owner, was happy to schedule a visit, practicing safe measures and social distancing. She was able to remove the blinds and restring them, and since we were paying for her to come out she offered to look at any of our blinds and fix or adjust them as well. She also showed us how to remove cellular blinds from their mounting brackets so that if we have future problems we can simply bring them into her shop for repair. Ideal, friendly service. We had a great experience with A-Z Blinds! We called them after getting quotes from big box stores and other small business and A-Z Blinds had the most competitive prices. The owner, Tina (who has been in this family-owned business for more than 20 years!) came to my home and talked us through all of the options. She even brought samples with her so I could see how defused the light would be in my space. The order came in very quickly. They came back and installed it at a time that works best for me which is great because I work a lot. I even went back to them for 3 more windows! I highly recommend this company! read more

Zero stars as far as I am concerned. I dropped off my blinds to be restrung on 08/31/2021 and was told that they would be ready for pick-up in a couple of days. Called after 3 days and was told that they would call me when the blinds were ready. After a week of not hearing from anyone, I stopped by and was again told it would be a couple of days, I noticed that my blinds were still sitting in the same place that I had left them, obviously untouched. This happened two times and by 09/20/2021 on the 3rd visit to the store, when no one acknowledged my presents upon entering, I retrieved them and was halfway out the door when someone finally came out of the back and inquired what the situation was. This is unacceptable, there was no apology offered, only excuses of being busy, very unprofessional. I brought my blinds to McGee blinds on SE Water ave and was told 4-5 days, they were ready for pick-up in 4 days, on time & on budget. Great business practice & customer service. I have been using A-Z blinds for the last 10 years and two houses. I have always been pleased with the results. I bought new blinds for entire house and Tina, was great! She even suggested a better deal in keeping with my design. Second, I have had blinds cleaned and repaired. Everything coming back superbly clean with all new working parts. My experience with A to Z Blind Repair was not a good one. My brackets on an existing pleated shade broke and the shade needed to be reinstalled. They actually charged me $20 for two small plastic brackets on top of the installation charge. I was also not charged what was estimated on the phone--I was charged an additional fee due to the "type of ladder that needed to be used". The only reason I am giving A to Z two stars is because the were able to get someone out for the repair right away. read more

When I moved out of my apartment after living there 7 years the blinds were filthy. I took them down and brought them to A to Z Blinds. They did a great job quickly and for a good price. Recently I had a cord break on the blind in my bedroom so I took it to A to Z. They again did a good job in a reasonable amount of time and for a good price. I'd use them again. read more

Our dealings with them was a disaster. "Repaired" blinds came back filthy dirty, parts still missing and restrung so wrong so they wouldn't work. We contacted them they assured that they would get back to us and make an appointment to come out to our house to fix them here. Never heard from them again. We will now have to spend money to repair their mistakes. read more

Three of my custom ten year old Hunter Douglass blackout blinds needed to be restrung, and I first called Budget Blinds who referred me to a gentleman who was mobile and could come to my house for the job. I spoke to him, and he gruffly remarked that I had chosen "the worst possible day" to call (Monday) (!) and that the price would probably be $59 per shade, and $49 per shade, if I brought them in to Budget's Clackamas office. After speaking to this guy, I didn't want his services at any price, so I kept Googling and calling to find an alternative business. Fortunately, I found A to Z. They are a family business that has been around at least forty years. It's a no-nonsense shop. I got same day service, drop off and pick up...so for $60 I got all three blinds restrung...($10 less than the original quote)...also, for basically a third of the cost of the competitor's original quote. A to Z also offers blind repair, replacement and sells new custom blinds. They will get all my future business. I am delighted with how they saved my day...and many dollars...and got the job done painlessly! read more

2 weeks, 6 visits, 2 large shades. Custom roman shades were brought in for restringing. When they were (finally) ready, I brought them home, and one had not been touched, and had to go back to actually be restrung. They missed appts with no call, we waited hours just to have no one show up 2 different times. Finally, drove all the way to their shop to pick up and take to another company. I brought in 4 cellular cloth blinds that needed to be restrung and cleaned. The window had leaked and had terrible water stains. I was told by another company that they could not be repaired and that the water stain would never come out. Well after having taken them to A to Z they came back with no stains and totally repaired. They even gave me a few miscellaneous parts I needed for other blinds for free. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!! read more
