Customer service update. We are still loving our Hunter Douglas Duette PowerView blinds. We…read morerecently had our 25 year old windows replaced and my handyman husband was successfully able to take all the blinds down, replace the batteries, and put them all back up again without any problems. Or so we thought. We had an issue with the kitchen blind not lowering all the way. I followed the instructions on my App, watched a Hunter Douglas video and a YouTube video but couldn't solve the problem. We called the Portland Window Coverings store and the person who answered the phone was very helpful and tried to walk us through all the steps we'd already taken. The blind still wouldn't cooperate. She said she'd get a service technician out by the end of the day or the next. By 6:30pm Friday night we figured we'd have to wait until tomorrow or the following week but just as I was about to take dinner out of the oven, Joel (the actual business owner) called and said he could come by right away. In less than 10 minutes Joel fixed the problem (I couldn't have fixed it via my App as it turns out and the videos weren't correct either) and our kitchen blind was functioning as it should. We were thrilled beyond beyond belief to have the problem solved. And on a Friday evening at 6:30pm, WHO DOES THAT? Thank you Joel, you are amazing and the best example of customer service EVER. Realizing I wanted to replace all the windows and patio doors, I delayed a year and contacted Frank when I was ready. First of all, Frank is a joy to work with. He was always communicative, prompt and friendly. He offered for us to come out to the showroom and see the windows and doors in person. I went with the Milgard Trinsic Windows and Doors. Second, the install team was excellent. Every day, they arrived on time and hit the ground running. Having a number of contractors for projects over the past 5 years, this team has been the best. I moved out of the house during the project, but I stopped by daily and everything was always cleaned up and in order. Third, I really appreciated the effort and thoroughness on the last day of cleaning the exterior and especially the interior of the house. The team takes great pride in their work and you can tell that is 100% employee owned. If I had to say there was a down side, its you may be in for a wait when placing your order because their work is in high demand (the first year quote, I would have had to wait 4-5 months). Finally, the windows and doors are beautiful. What a difference this made in regards to temperature, sound, and clarity. Not to mention, the ease at using the doors and the contemporary narrow frame modernized our home. We could not be happier.

One of them was damaged(I wouldn't have noticed). They installed it, ordered another window, and replaced the damaged one when the new one arrived at no charge to me. I love the windows. They are energy efficient and let in so much light!
