We have a very large living room window with curtains. A few weeks ago the pull string on the rod snapped so we were unable to open and close the curtains. I called a few window treatment places but they didn't do this type of thing. Then I called Alko and got a quick response. They had a busy schedule so it was almost 3 weeks until someone could come out. Not a big deal. The service men arrived on time and were very courteous by wearing shoe coverings while in the house. They took the curtains off the rod and took it to the repair shop. They were back two weeks later (because Christmas & New Year holidays). They reinstalled the rod, hung the curtains and now they work better then ever. I would 100% call them again if are in need of Alko services. Their staff is very friendly. I had 27 Hunter Douglas Silhouette Sheer Shades that were installed almost 30 years ago that had never been cleaned. Alko came in and removed the blinds, cleaned them, stored them for almost 6 months and then reinstalled them. I was concerned the shades would be too delicate and would have aged too much to survive the cleaning, but they came back looking brand new. I even had one blind that had a smashed bug stain and it too came back perfect. I thought these blinds were spendy years ago when I bought them. What Alko charged for their services was an absolute steal compared to what it would have cost me to replace the blinds at today's cost. So kudos to Hunter Douglas for a great product and to Alko for their amazing service. I also have tremendous respect for David given during the reinstallation there was an error made...one that might have taken me some time to even notice. I brought my blind in for repair after pricing a new blind at another establishment. I was able to make an appointment easily to bring my blind in for repair. They gave me a quote and estimated it would take two weeks. They called when it was ready (on time) and I am happy with the repairs with were less than 10% of the cost quoted for a replacement. Showed up right on time again to re-install the blinds. They were clean as promised, even the puppy pee stains on the bottom were gone. Polite and professional. I would give this guy a zero stars if I could. The owner Memo is the biggest liar that I have ever dealt with. I was trying to get my blinds repaired with him for the past 2 months! And it never happened. A couple of my blinds at my house came apart due to the cords falling apart. I found ALKO Blind Cleaning online and contacted them. Memo the owner came over and took a look and said he could fix them, he said all the cords needed to be replaced and that he would come in couple of days to pick them up for repairs. This was on June 25th. He came 3 days later to pick up the blinds. When he was about to take the blinds off the widows I asked him "you're replacing the cords with the same color cords right?" (My blinds and cords are a tan color). He said "no they would be white cords". I was very surprised, that he never mentioned that in the first place. I told him I wanted the same color. And he said that he would have to order the tan color cords then. Long story short, he kept lying about ordering the cords, and saying that he's still waiting on them, and then would say his friend my have them, at his shop. And whenever he said he would call me back to let me know about it, it NEVER happened. He would lie about even calling back. This guy is a joke. I'm not sure how he stays in business. He wasted 2months of my time. Now I have to look for another blind repair shop and start all over. My recommendation is to stay away from ALKO Blind Cleaning. Unless you want to deal with the same lies I dealt with from the owner Memo. read more

Memo ordered the wrong blinds and tried to blame me and my wife. He said that we approved the order including the color and style but his order approval email didn't list those details. It just said two motorized units and two non-motorized. He then tried to say my wife initialed his handwritten notes to approve the color/style but he could never provide the notes and my wife had no recollection of initialing the choices. His first mistake was the wrong fabric on the two motorized blinds. It was close so we just let him install them. His second mistake was the wrong color for our blinds over the sink. Ultimately he ordered a replacement blind to replace the white one he ordered by mistake but still got it wrong on the replacement. The replacement was the original fabric we ordered but now the sink doesn't match the motorized units because of his first mistake. I understand mistakes are made but the amount of mistakes he made was huge by comparison to what he got right. One window out of four windows was right. What I can't tolerate, and what led to the posting of this review, is how he treated us. He insisted his mistakes were our fault and he lied to us to try to make us accept his mistakes. read more

I had a very positive experience with this company. I had called other local blind companies but other companies tried to sell me similar products to match my current blinds because they did not carry the one I had. I needed an exact replacement for my Hunter Douglas blinds and if you're like me, it would drive me nuts to have different blinds to the rest of my house! Amalia was especially benevolent and responsive when assisting my order. I was always informed with my order status and really felt the customer service. David installed my new blinds and pointed out the slightest color difference to my current window blinds. He could've done the job and left but he insisted we get what we ordered. He also looked at some other blinds for me and had them repaired and brought back to me within the next week. I'll definitely be happy to come back for additional purchases in the future. I had my blinds cleaned today by this company. The gentleman arrived at the agreed upon time to pick my blinds up and arrived back at the agreed upon time to return them. (He took them down and put them back up as well.) The price was very reasonable and the blinds look like new. I would use this company again in the future for sure. read more

We purchased a home that included drapes, wooden and sheer louvered blinds. The drapes and wooden blinds needed cleaning and the sheer louvered blinds needed repair....Alko blinds to the rescue..Not only did they clean and repair the wooden blinds, they went above and beyond the call of duty by fixing the motor that raised and lowered the Hunter Douglas sheer blinds. We didn't even know our blinds were automatic. The cherry on top was finding us a remote to work the system. Never have I, or my husband, worked with a company that actually cared so much about fixing our situation and not just telling us to rip out all the blinds and start over..I will only use Alko blinds for any cleaning, repair or new installation.
