This is the second time we've used A to Z Valleywide movers in the last 7 years. Both times everything went wonderfully. The crews are experts at packing and loading trucks to get the most out of the space available. They move fast, they hustle, and they complete the job with purpose. Update for My January 29-30 Move: I previously shared my experience with this moving company, and unfortunately, things only got worse. On top of the poor service mentioned in my original review, they held my merchandise hostage for 46 days. They stored my items in a U-Haul facility in Mesa, which they apparently use to hold multiple clients' belongings. It's unclear whether they're actually providing a storage service or just holding people's possessions hostage. What they do is lure you in with the promise of a deal, but then things go south quickly. As you can see in the pictures, they completely filled my storage unit, which was meant to hold only shop equipment and overflow items. They piled everything all the way to the ceiling at the entrance, but if you dig around in the back--and believe me, it's like navigating an avalanche--you'll see a lot of wasted space. They just threw everything in without care. Since then, we've had to go back several times and hire people to help, as it's extremely dangerous to move things without something falling on you. While going through the mess, I discovered much of my inventory, including books we sell, scattered around in various corners, with dirty metal items stacked on top of them. They broke several of our filing cabinets, and I found files dumped upside down on the floor. One of the most upsetting discoveries was a plaque that had hung in the foyer, representing my accomplishments in opening the business. It was in pristine condition before the move, but now it's permanently damaged, scraped across the floor, with the corners destroyed. This business is not trustworthy. The owner will come to meet with you and shumze tell you what you want to hear. Give you a great quote then turn about at the end of the move charge you another two hours. I am a senior, what If I could not charge another two hundred dollars. The owner did not contact me back for ten days. I am a senior female on social security . I think it's awful. I did not want to drive on the freeway I called the driver. They had to wait 20 minutes then when I arrived they were about 15 minutes away from professionally cleaning. I called them and said to go grab something to eat. They were on time, communicating via text and app throughout the steps of the move. Every person I spoke with at this company was polite, professional and efficient. Beginning with the first call with Michael through the entire process. The crew worked well together, wrapping my valuables, and packing the two trucks without breaking ANYTHING! Having purchased a fully furnished house I had furniture that needed to move into storage, other furniture that needed to go to the new place and more furniture that needed to come from the old place and back to storage! I called to find out information about moving, the time, and costs. The man on the phone was very professional and I was very comfortable with the information he gave me. We discussed where I'm moving from and to, size of the apt, time available, and he gave me a quote which was appropriate. I had called another moving company and I was feeling very uneasy as the person couldn't give me a quote. So I appreciate the honesty and professionalism A to Z valleywide movers offer. The day of the move, they arrived on time with a uhaul truck. They toured the apt to get an idea of what to move first. I tried to make it easy by dismantling the large items and boxing everything prior to their arrival. They also wrapped my mirrors in cloth with no additional charge. After they moved my stuff into the new apartment, they arranged the bed frame and offered to assemble it! They finished 5 minutes from they estimated time. They were quick and efficient and ready to work with no dilly dallying. I felt that every penny was worth it. So I recommend these guys primarily because they gave me peace of mind. read more

Would not recommend them. They use a shell name of A to Z valley movers, but they really are called Leo's Moving, LLC. Know I know why. I was quoted $4,500 to move last month from San Tan Valley, AZ to Provo, UT. I was living in a 3 bedroom single family home. The owner of Leo's moving LLC came out to give me a quote. I asked if it would fit in a single 26ft moving truck. He looked around. He wrote down a list of furniture that would fit, I told him I would get rid of the rest of the furniture. After the inspection/walk-through, he told me they would get it to fit. He never said or recommended that the items wouldn't fit in one 26ft moving truck. Never warned me, just told me to have the items boxed up. Come moving day, a driver named Red showed up with two other men to load up. They informed me that all of my items would not fit. They then loaded up boxes, and took none of the furniture that was quoted to me. I was told by the driver that tipping is customary, and that it should be for thousands of dollars per mover. I ended up giving $500 to the two movers when they stood there waiting, I was told to tip the movers so that they would leave and Red would drive the truck. They left half of my stuff behind, including all but one of the pieces of furniture. I felt like I was being serviced by a sham of a service. There was only one employee and the owner. They hired random contractors that ended up dropping a box down the stairs. I was told that the remaining furniture and items would fit in one truck. I paid $4,500 to move all of my stuff, and they only moved half of it. They did not know what they were doing when they quoted that my items would be moved. I had to rent a separate truck and load the rest of my stuff the next weekend, which cost me time off work, a flight, truck rental, hotels, gas, etc. I trusted Leo's to provide a complete service for thousands of dollars, and I received half a service. read more

Terrible service, I dont even know where to begin. First they canceled our scheduled date because a "TON" of black widows were in the storage. There were 3. I counted! And easily killed off. Pathetic. We were qouted at around 600 but the move cost us 1300. These movers are NOT professional movers, idk about you but the movers ive known wear work boots jeans and gloves. These guys wore Nikes basketball shorts and no gloves. They took hours loading when we wernt around but unloaded in 45 minutes, They broke several things, used snapchat and made phone calls while moving our stuff, gave us attitude when we asked them to move something away from the door. When I told them to put everything into a room they just dumped it into the living room. They complained about things being heavy yet me and my 19 year old sister had no trouble moving it on our own when they wouldn't. For the cherry ontop I called to complain (not even about all of this!) But because they left some of our stuff at the storage unit out in the road! And the storage manager had to put it away and even asked them if it was their mess and they LIED TO THEM. The storage had to call me and let me know they not only left out our stuff in the middle of the road but was steping all over it. These were family photos shelves photo frames lamps, lamp shades bathroom items. And to make things worse I called and they said they would "be in touch with me" that was TWO WEEKS AGO! DO NOT GO WITH THIS PLACE IT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE I HAVE EVER MADE 1300 for broken and lost items, attitude and unprofessionalism. As a reply to their comment you people just lie all the time dont you? Your entire statement is a lie. We did not know about the spider. Everything was boxed or bagged that could be. We did bug bomb it. After killing the spiders We fit our entire storage into our own truck the exact same size, why couldn't you? Your sales rep on the phone said they would CALL me. Zero stars. We used this company in Oct/2017 to load up our moving truck. They sent 3 young guys who I constantly had to watch, they charge hourly and were taking to much time on cell phones and standing around. That's not the worst, they in no way were experienced in packing a truck. We provided tie downs, rope, etc. which was not used, consequently a lot of our furniture was stacked high and fell and was broken when we arrived. I would never recommend this company. But on top of that, they were far more reasonably priced than the competitors we quoted (by $300!). Ruben, Jermaine, and Carl G. showed up EARLY! The were professional, efficient, polite, fun, careful and FAST! They really cared about our stuff. They finished in the exact amount of estimated time and charged us the EXACT PRICE THEY QUOTED US!!! This, by far, has been the best experience I've ever had with a moving company. I want to give them less than one star but I can't. This company was a total sham!! Be very careful using them!! Totally bailed on me with no warning. I booked them two months in advance to move me, and it was hard enough to get someone to answer the phone, so I turned to email. I should have trusted my gut with the red flags... but Michael confirmed everything in the beginning. Then I heard nothing from them for months so I reached back out again to double check. Once again I couldn't get ahold of them. Finally got someone on the phone and they said the movers are running late (I booked them for 1-2 and this phone call was at 7pm). I had to be out of my apartment by 6pm, so I got charged this huge fee to stay an extra night. So I left a message basically saying "I'm completely desperate for movers at least just come first thing in the morning". Nothing. No call, no movers. Moving is stressful as it is, don't let an unprofessional company make it even harder on you. BUT luckily I found another company that's absolutely incredible! We used A to Z Valley Wide Movers for our recent move. We were moving about 30 miles and needed someone to pack up our heavy furniture. After some research, I found AtoZ and was pleased with the positive reviews and the price quote I received. We only needed two guys, and didn't want to pay an arm and a leg to move a few things. I set up a time with AtoZ and they gave me a time window for them to show up (10-12pm). They arrived minutes before 10am ready to go! I showed them what I needed them to move, and they got right to work. They were both very respectful (yes ma'am, yes sir, etc.), and friendly, and asked questions when they weren't sure about a piece of furniture. They were gentle with our delicate items, too. AtoZ charges an inexpensive flat rate and then an hourly rate. Overall, packing the truck, driving 30 miles, and unpacking took 3 hours. They honored our time and money, and even took 30 minutes off our time when they took a little longer to arrive at our new house. They were fast to pack and unpack, and do not take advantage of the hourly rate. The only thing we found was that they did not have all the tools to take apart our furniture. They had simple tools, but some items we had to take apart/put together ourselves. Nor did they have covers for furniture (mattresses, chairs, etc.) Not a huge issue, since we didn't have too many items, but something to be aware of. I would suggest being prepared and having furniture already apart and covered. Overall, we were extremely pleased with A to Z Valleywide Movers. Excellent customer service, respectful and efficient movers, and honorable pricing. We will use them again! read more

A to Z Valley Wide Movers no called, no showed on the day our move was scheduled 6/24/17. To date they still have not called or emailed to explain the situation or apologize. They were scheduled to arrive between 8-9am, at 9:00 I called, at 9:30 I called and also emailed, at 10:00 I called and texted. Not only did this company not show up, they didn't answer their phone, email, or texts. I could not think of a worst possible situation then to have a few days to move, moving truck rented, house boxed up and ready to go and a 2 year old at a sitters for the day and have them just completely ghost us. Even more surprising was that we had used them in the past and had a great experience, something has changed over the last few years. We ended up having to call another moving service that charged more and 6.5 hours to complete the job, twice as long than what we had experienced in the past. We understand that things come up, however not calling, not returning calls and basically leaving us high and dry is totally unacceptable for any business. Disregard their other "good" reviews as it seems they have made a habit of just randomly screwing customers over. read more

I'm sitting in my apartment, with a restless three year old, for going on three hours now. These guys were suppose to be here at 1pm. Called last night to confirm the time. So it's not like they didn't know. I tried calling at 2 to see where they were. No answer. At 2:25 they called "to confirm" 4. I said it was suppose to be 1. The guys name was Nathan. I heard him mumble to someone else "it was suppose to be 1". So obviously they are clueless. He, with almost zero life in his voice, told me they finish the current job and come over. Yeah right. He obviously didn't care one bit and wanted me to work with his schedule and not mine. So now I'm sitting here on a time crunch trying to find other movers because I need my stuff out if here. I'm not quite sure if most of these others reviews are fake, or are old, or maybe agreeing on a time is me expecting too much but man did they fool me. I thought this place would be safe to do business with. It's not. Maybe you'll be ok but imagine yourself sitting at your place with your boxed up stuff waiting for a moving company that isn't coming. But hey, that Yelp reply from the owner of "I'm sorry" will make your stuff magically move. Edit: I had to hire someone else at a highly inflated rate because of these guys. Awesome. If you are thinking about having A to Z Valley Wide Movers, i would definitely think again. My quote was given by Mike. We did an initial walk through the house and went over everything including the FAKE plants that he told me he had no problem taking. Day of packing, they were all great. We went over everything we wanted to take and leave probably a total of 5 times. They even went ahead and put sticky notes on what was not being moved on moving day. Come the next day (moving day), one of the movers called to let me know he had arrived. I reminded them once more of the exterior items that needed to be packed & moved too. As the day goes on, Allison (the receptionist?) had to message to guys for status as she thought they had arrived to our new home already. I was able to see through my cameras that they had left exactly what i kept reminding them to pack and take. Called the movers to see if they were going to go back to grab that & had gotten hung up on. My son then called and left a message letting him know it was disrespectful and to go back and get my stuff. They shortly arrived after that & the lead mover (Rain) got out of the truck and started yelling at me, my son, and my daughter. I mean literally yelling in our faces. His crew came to calm him down. He then started to unload my boxes completely disrespectfully and told me that he would be moving all my boxes into my garage and not inside. The rest of the crew was actually great and started moving things in and asking where they went. Michael (the owner) did come by with what was not brought by the movers which i do really appreciate. Though Rain never dropped his attitude and continued to just not handle our stuff with care. Not to add, I didn't know if going in somebody's fridge to eat their food & drink their alcohol is something a moving company does?? Just super disappointing & SO glad it's over with. read more

These guys were fantastic! From the moment I called to the moment they left my home it was seamless. The receptionist Diane sent the owner out to my house the day after I called. Michael (the owner) helped me understand how many Pod storage containers I would need and gave me a quote for 3 of his guys to come pack up the house and load the pods. As the date neared closer, Diane texted to confirm. The guys called when they were on their way (early!) When they arrived, they said they didn't know they would be packing and didn't bring materials. A quick phone call and their boss brought materials. While they waited for materials they started on what they could. The materials arrived and they kept working. They were kind, friendly, polite, and professional. They were careful with glass and anything fragile. They were nervous (as was I!) that not everything would fit, but they played a big game of Tetris and everything fit with room leftover!! The 3 bedroom 2 bath house was packed and loaded in 5.5 hours. They did it all with smiles on their faces the whole time. Seriously great company. read more

Great price to hire 2 guys to load our truck for 2 hrs...and our expectations were exceeded in every way. Nate and James were phenomenal...always going the extra mile to help us in every way! Not one item was broken, damaged, cracked, or lost...and there was not even one nick in our paint afterwards! They easily moved our heavy marble tabletop, and somehow stuffed and wrapped my treasured all-glass curio cabinet...and it survived the 350-mile move to CA! I was really wowed. I hired movers for the first time in my life as I have major health issues now. This company had great reviews and affordable pricing. The three men were pleasant and seemed to wrap everything up nicely. We have some very large and expensive pieces of furniture. I even bought them breakfast. I paid them and they left. When we went to make up our beds, our guestroom bed had several scratches on it. Our master bed is huge and is like an old school water bed with a huge headboard and drawers and storage underneath. When we were putting on our fitted sheet something shifted. The boards underthe mattress were not attached proplerly. The screws that were there were not screwed in. When we lifted the boards, the wood braces were all lying on the floor. None of them attached. One of them broken. One of the drawers was broken as well. The screws they did put in the bed were only screwed in half way. If I would have laid on the bed, I could have been injured. My husband and son spent three hours fixing the bed. We also have a very large entertainment center and the flat back piece was put on backwards. I called the company and was told they could send someone out to fix it. I said we already fixed it. They sent a guy out to fix the scratches and the entertainment center. He just used a color pen on the scratches. When he looked at the entertainment center, he says to me, how am I supposed to move it to fix it? So, I told him my husband and son will fix it. I called the company again and told them this was shoddy work and I was very unhappy paying $1300 for this. The lady said that this never happens and they always get great reviews. She spoke to the workers and they said everything was put together correctly before they left. So she basically accused me of lying. I had sent her plenty of pictures of everything. I asked for some of my money back. All they offered me was $30 which is what they would have paid someone to come out and fix our bed. Which is also sad if that's all they pay their workers. Two weeks after this happened. I was sitting on a chair near the foot of my bed and went to stand up, and grabbed my foot board to get up and the whole thing came off and I fell down. After looking at it. The screws were not all the way in from the movers. Guess we should have checked the footboard too. This company does not stand by their word of guaranteeing their work. They do not care if a customer is unhappy. They basically called me a liar. Like I would hire movers, pay them, then go in and tear my bed apart, take pictures, and complain just to get a couple hundred bucks back. Which I didn't anyway. I didn't even take the $30. This past weekend I had to move. It happened to be a Saturday and March 1st. I was having trouble finding movers at a reasonable price that had decent reviews online. I came across A To Z Valley Wide Movers and I am so lucky I did. The guys who moved my house showed up 15 minutes early. It was basically like torrential downpour which is super rare in Phoenix. These guys didn't care and were ready to go. Great positive attitudes! They were careful with my things and worked fast. We were able to move everything in one load and finished in 2 hours. I was really nervous and stressed out about moving. I just want to say a big thank you for helping me out and taking such good care of my belongings. I will def be referring anyone I can to you. Let me preface this review by mentioning that I have moved internationally, across the country, and locally several times, so I've dealt with my share of moving companies. Sadly, this fairly simple local move was by far my worst experience with a moving company. In late February 2016, I found myself in a situation where I was under a tight timeframe in which to move and needed to find a company that had availability within the next day or two. I contacted a couple of the companies I had used in the past, but they were already booked. After reading some reviews on Yelp I reached out to a couple companies and "A to Z Valley Wide Movers" called me back first, so I went with them. Big mistake. A few issues worth noting: * They were over 4 hours late - which ended up being a very significant issue because by the time they got the truck loaded and arrives at my condo in Scottsdale, it was too late to move in because of HOA rules. This resulted in me having to take an extra day off of work. * Took them well over 1 hour to put a bed together. It was put together incorrectly, which resulted in a couple of the wooden slats to break. The bed frame has since been thrown away. * I specifically asked them to bring boxes and 2 wardrobe boxes for my dress (hanging) clothes. When they arrived, they had forgotten them and had to go buy some. * When I unpacked, I discovered they had put some of my hanging casual shirts and sweatshirts in the wardrobe boxes (that you pay extra for), and all of my dry cleaned/pressed dress clothes (dress pants, dress shirts, sport coats and ties) were haphazardly thrown in the bottom of regular boxes. This resulted in a dry cleaning bill of over $200. I took a picture of one box filled with freshly pressed shirts and pants that were on hangers stuffed in the bottom of a box. I will try to attach it to this review. * The move from Gilbert to Scottsdale (including a stop to empty my storage unit) ended up costing me just over $1100 (not including damages and dry cleaning) Everyone makes mistakes and sometimes things don't go according to plan. I totally get that. In my opinion, how a company reacts to those unfortunate situations is what truly defines them. So, rather than jump on Yelp and write a negative review, I wanted to give them the feedback directly, make them aware of my dissatisfaction, and explain some of the issues to see how they handled it, and if there was anything they were willing to do to make it right. The gentleman on the phone basically said "sorry to hear that...the next time you move, we'll give you 15% off". At that point it became very clear to me that they either weren't listening or just don't care. After that phone call, there isn't any amount of discount that would make me consider using them again. Bottom line, I would strongly encourage you to avoid this company at all costs. After my nightmare experience, I almost have to question the validity of the positive reviews they have on Yelp. There is no shortage of moving companies to choose from in the valley, so do yourself a favor and skip this one. UPDATED 3/11/16 After reading my review, I received a phone call from John apologizing for my negative experience and the way it was handled. He offered to reimburse me for my dry cleaning bill in an attempt to make things right. John seemed to be very sincere and genuine in his approach, which I appreciated. Within 48 hours of that conversation I received a check in the mail that covered my dry cleaning bill. While it wasn't a great experience, they made an attempt to rectify things which goes a long way in my opinion. read more

I booked these guys the day before I planned to move. The job was to unload a uhaul and mostly carry the large items up one-two flights of stairs. The owner was nice, but there was a miscommunication in our initial phone conversation about the address. They ended up going to a different house. Basically the first guy showed up an hour before the other. I felt the first guy was slow, lazy, inefficient, and took frequent breaks. He did pick up speed once the second mover came. They carried each large item up 1-2 flights of stairs efficiently, and without damages. The second mover was efficient and courteous. He worked much better by himself than the other one did. I was a little disappointed to hear that they were having a conversation about how the second one wasn't required to stay because he came to the wrong place. My brother overhead their conversation, and it was very unprofessional. The overall experience was OKAY. I think this experience was a fluke, due to the miscommunication with the owner. It seems like overall they get pretty good ratings. But, I believe businesses have one chance at a first impression, and I probably will choose another company when it's time to move again. ***FOLLOW-UP TO THE GENERAL MANAGER*** Hi, and thank-you for your response. I just wanted to point a couple things out. When I spoke to you over the phone, you said that if I arrived early, I can call you and there would be no problem with you guys getting there early. The initial appointment was at 2, and your first guy arrived at 2:30 (due to the fact that he went to the wrong house). So he was about 25 minutes away, which justifies the 2:30 arrival time. This was acceptable. Your other guy arrived at 3:30, which if the house was 25 minutes away from mine, that means he was over an hour late. So that was an issue. In the mean time, my brother and I unloaded a lot more than expected. Like I said, they did do a good job carrying the stuff upstairs, and the 2nd guy did a pretty decent job by himself... but overall, I had higher expectations. And if you have a problem with a customer or a situation, you don't talk and complain about it in the customer's house. Just an opinion. read more

We had a different moving company booked and they completely stopped communicating with us about 10 days prior to our scheduled move date. We booked with A to Z instead and they were great. They showed up on time, were efficient yet careful not to damage our walls or furniture. Worth every penny, and to be honest their price was very fair compared to some of the quotes I got! read more

Hands down, one of the ABSOLUTE BEST service experiences I have ever had. Rick, Jermaine, and Marcus went above and beyond through the entire process, starting with letting me know when they would arrive, they disassembled/padded/moved/reassembled everything expertly. AIso need to mention that even though they moved numerous large/heavy items (including washer&dryer) down a set of stairs, not a mark was left on a wall, nor was there any single issue when unloading all our worldly possessions into the brand new house. I called A to Z Valley Wide Movers to get a quote on price for my recent move. I got their voicemail and I became worried that I may not receive a response to my request. I ended up using the price quote request on their website. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a same day email from John. He clearly stated in his email the cost (truck fee and hourly cost) and what was included for the price. On moving day, Carl and Jimmy were our movers. They were late due to battery and traffic issues but it was not a big deal as my husband and I were not doing the heavy lifting. When they arrived, they confirmed the price and then got to work. They were fast, efficient and careful with our stuff. They definitely eased the stress of moving and we really appreciated that. I've used these folks twice now. Once to unload a truck into my second floor apartment and then again to load the truck from my 2nd floor apartment. 1st experience: They unloaded a 22' truck. These guys were AMAZING! They worked like an well oiled machine, that's also extremely courteous. I paid for 2 hours of moving service and the guys got the job done in about an hour. They were very helpful and made sure to place things in the apartment where we wanted them. 2nd experience: They loaded a 22' truck. Again, I was impressed. They worked quickly, but took the time to secure items in the truck. The truck traveled from AZ to PA with very little movement when we finally opened in PA. I've never been disappointed with them and have just scheduled to use them again to load my 16' POD into my new apartment. They usually run a groupon for a half off rate as well, for the price and service these guys are unbeatable. read more
