We moved from AZ to TX and upon our furniture being unloaded in TX we found that the center supports had been broken on our TV stand and our daughter's dresser. The movers in AZ had known this was broken because the leg for the dresser was wrapped in plastic and shoved under the tarp covering the dresser. We were never informed that it had been broken. We filed a claim, since this was a brand new dresser and it's unsafe to have in our baby's room. We were denied because we did not inform the movers it was broken before they left the premises in AZ, but to know it was broken we would have had to been able to inspect all the furniture in the truck which is impossible to do when it's loaded. Plus, if the movers knew they broke it, we should have been notified by them. Getting a response from our claim agent takes multiple follow ups, where they tell me the same information and do not answer any of my follow-up questions, despite telling me to reach back out if I have any questions. Moving is always a stressful time, and now we have the added stress of trying to receive some compensation so we can replace furniture that was knowingly broken. read more

The movers destroyed our infant's dresser and our entertainment center, hid the evidence, didn't tell us, and now the company refuses to reimburse for any amount of damages. On both pieces the movers broke the central support legs, wrapped up the broken pieces in cellophane wrap, and stuffed them underneath the protective tarps covering the dresser and entertainment center. 2 of the side legs on the dresser were also completely split apart, with split pieces taped back on. The company refuses to reimburse any amount of damages because we did not report the damage after everything was loaded up on the moving truck, and before departing to our destination. This makes no sense because to inspect for damages we would have to unload the fully loaded truck and remove all protective coverings from furniture. There was absolutely no room in the truck for a person to enter and inspect for damages. This is an unreasonable requirement for reimbursement. We treated the movers extremely well with gallon jugs of water, redbulls, and a great tip for both of them. In return they did not have the decency to inform us when they accidentally damaged anything, going as far as hiding the evidence. The actual movers we got were terrific, and our issues stemmed from poor management not sending enough people, and then management trying to not let them make two trips after they severely understaffed the job. After trying to fit everything for an hour (which we were charged for) they finally got permission to make two trips. I have moved homes quicker with my family and a pick up truck. My mom, husband, and I ended up getting in the truck to help since it was taking so long. Our movers seemed set up to fail by Dalton (the manager). We ended up spending 9 hours moving for something that should have taken 4. Additionally due to the rush a dresser is so scratched it will need replaced. Like I said, the actually people sent were great, they deserve better than Dalton and unethical management severely understaffing a move. read more

We have moved several times because of my work and this is my far the worst moving company we've ever used. They are very unprofessional, not fill up trucks when they left. Try to charge us gas for trucks that were half empty lied about the cost and one of their employees actually threatened my family by saying that he would kick their ass do not use this company. It will not be a pleasant move. When they're inventorying, they basically put everything or 80% of all boxes to one room and didn't even take the time to figure out what room they're supposed to go to the room that they put everything to on the inventory list was actually a guest bedroom and they showed kitchen stuff you name it going to that room. Then we found a bunch of inventory stickers in a box not tagged anything. They also stored our stuff when we picked our stuff up they were boxes opened with obvious things missing. Horrible experience overall that made me never want to use movers again. I was moving from a 2-bedroom apartment to a 1-bedroom apartment within the same complex, with no packing or extra services required. When I spoke to someone on the phone about a quote, they said that a 2-man crew should be able to complete this job easily within 2 hours. I booked based on this quote. I was informed that I would be charged the flat $300 travel fee despite not leaving the apartment complex before I booked, but I was not told that I would also be charged a fuel cost, which was 15% of the total cost at the end. I was told that if they used packing materials I would be charged for them, but I informed them that all of my items would be packed when movers arrived. I booked over a month in advance. I received a confirmation text, but never a confirmation email. When it came to the week of the move, I called the company to confirm my move because I had never received a formal confirmation email. They confirmed my move and the details given during the initial quote. The movers were punctual. However, when they arrived, the mood of the woman, who I was told was the lead, was off-putting. She was anything but friendly and felt quite intimidating. She informed me that despite all of my items being well-packed, it was required for them to pack them in additional material before loading them into the truck. I was also told that because both locations were within the street address, she had to collect payment up front. I was told that instead of the 2-hour move I was expecting, she estimated it would take them 6 hours "if I went with them". This forced me to pay over 3x what I had been quoted and was expecting right at the start. The team proceeded to move my items at an incredibly slow pace. The man was working hard, but it felt as though the lead was dragging her feet. She seemed put out to be there. I was charged for a mirror box, but they did not use any packing material on my standing mirror. Both movers were careless with my items, taking items out of bags I packed, throwing bags around upside down, and putting glass lamps at the bottom of boxes they threw everything else on top of. It took 4.5 hours for them to load my half of the 2-bedroom apartment despite everything being packed and ready by the door. At the second apartment in the complex, we had hoped unloading would go quicker, given that I was told that morning it would take 6 hours, and it had already been 5 (when I was originally quoted for 2). After about 30 minutes of unloading, we did not see either mover for another 30 minutes. When we went downstairs to find out what was going on, we were told that the man was suffering from heat stroke and about to pass out, so they could not work. After 30 more minutes and a call to the company, I was informed that they were sending a car to take him to the hospital and sending a crew of two more people to help. I was told that they were "stopping my clock at that time" until the new crew got there, even though they had not done any work for at least an hour. When the new crew showed up 45 minutes later the unloading process finally kicked into gear. The new crew was friendly and efficient, which made me wonder what the day would have been like if we had had them initially. While unpacking, we discovered that they had broken several of my items. They pulverized drinking glasses, shattered mixing bowls, broke a TV, broke a piece of furniture, and took a chunk out of my drywall, to name a few. Before they left, they explicitly asked for tips to be sent to them via Venmo or Zelle, which was very uncomfortable given how awful the day went. I was told I would receive an email in the coming days regarding reimbursement for my broken items and to discuss discounts because of all the issues. That was nearly 3 weeks ago, and I have heard nothing back despite reaching out several times. In the end I was charged over 3x as much as my quote, it took 4-5x longer than quoted, and I had to replace several items for a move that. Total crooks. read more

Well, I received a response from Marie S from All My Sons Moving Company telling me how sorry she is about my experience. She asked me to call her so she can speak to me about it. I called and was put on an eternal hold where a recording told me repeatedly that I'd be helped soon. Finally I was told I was being put through to her voicemail. As I was waiting to leave a message, a recording told me her voicemail was full and I was unable to leave a message!!! Gee, what a shock!! It's probably full of messages like mine, complaining about their terrible service and over-charging!! They still owe me an hour of "travel time" and for my $100 deposit they never credited me for. I had to interrogate the sales person to get ALL of the hidden fees included in my quote. After I said I was going to shop around I was told they would take 10% off the hourly rate to which I responded I still wanted to get other quotes. The sales person told me if I hung up I would no longer get that quote and kept insisting I give her a $100 deposit. My advice is - Don't hire this company for your local move! We had a 2-part move. Moving furniture from the house we sold to storage and then moving furniture from storage to our new house. This request was apparently too complicated to get right. The first part was good but somehow the second part got dropped off the schedule - even though I confirmed the detail at least twice. Also, second set of movers would not take back the moving blankets that the first set of movers had placed on the furniture. We were told to just keep them! What?? I called and relayed this information to a supervisor who said he would get back to me the next day about the blanket situation because that was "unacceptable" but never got that phone call. I had to call again and the assistant operations supervisor had to come herself to pick up the 36 moving blankets that were left at our new house. This moving company used deceptive practices on my fiancé, after I recommended them to her. I was there for the entire move. She is in accounting and had budgeting for the quote they gave. Originally quoted $300, the final bill was over $600 after the move was complete. The movers themselves were polite, but the company added extra charges beyond the original agreement, tacking up the extra fees as travel and gas. They added an extra hour of drive time despite being late for the scheduled move. The entire move took less than 2 hours. All items were packed and ready for the movers; no additional packing time was required. The drive from the apartment to the storage unit was 10 minutes and only 2 exits away, and only took one trip. Had move scheduled today. Mercedes and a man walked in through my screened in porch. There are 2 litter boxes. They would not be able to move through that door anyway as it barely opens. Advised them they are only moving things in the house as stuff on porch is junk. My house is half packed due to time and energy. Kitchen needs packed. Bedroom closet needs packed and wardrobes. Not a lot of furniture. She said I was going to have to pay for packing materials. Once again I find that all my sons moving has damaged and destroyed my personal belongings, one of my family members has already written a review on this however after finding out how they left the shed I felt it was required to share more of our horrific experience. Not only did they not come close to emptying the shed of what we asked them to but it is if they were literally throwing my possessions around while they were in there. While I haven't assessed all the items for damage what I can see does not bode well for the 100+ year old antiques which were stored in there. From the beginning, it was a disaster -- multiple calls, texts, and emails all filled with wrong information and incorrect addresses, no matter how many times I corrected them. It should've been a red flag. We specifically scheduled for a morning move, and at the last minute, they called and said it would have to be in the afternoon. If I had known they couldn't honor the original time, I NEVER would've given them my money. The people answering the phones were clueless -- I asked multiple times for an ETA and was either ignored or given empty responses like "they're on their way" just to pacify me. No one actually knew what was happening. To make it worse, we weren't even moving houses -- we just needed manpower to move items from one room to another within the SAME BUILDING. The truck never even left the parking lot, yet they still charged us $180 for "driving/gas" fees. Complete scam. They damaged walls, chipped paint, and broke a door during the move. This company is a load of crap! They have THE WORST & LAZIEST WORKERS EVER!!! I used them a couple months ago to move my stuff from one airbnb to another. I'm going through divorce so I had a house full. I paid them $4000 to pack these gigantic boxes they charged me for with a couple super light things that didn't even fill the box halfway up! Some of them actually had bags of trash in them. I told them what to leave behind. They loaded it into the truck instead. Then had no room for stuff I wanted! So I had to get my own U-Haul and go back to finish the job. Then I went on Angie's list and this company reached out first. I didn't even realize it was the same ppl until they arrived 1hr late. I let them know I had to be out by 11. They obviously didn't care because when 11 rolled around they were all outside bsing! Then I said something to them & went upstairs to find wine spilled on the floor. No one told me about it. They carried a few more things and then told me that the truck was full. The manager of the Airbnb shows up all upset. Why am I not out because they have another customer coming? I need to be out of there so they can clean it up so I am upstairs cleaning the wine off the floor and they care a few more boxes out and then I don't see them or hear them coming upstairs anymore and I'm still scrubbing the carpet I go downstairs they had jumped in the truck and just took off after I asked them to at least carry the boxes down to the garage before they took off so that way they could clean the house and get ready for the next customer. So I call and the owner just get smart with me like well. Maybe you shouldn't be trying to pack your stuff and move the last minute! Doesn't everybody move last minute when one home is available and the other one is expiring don't people usually move their stuff then where would they move it before then then I turned around and charge me $4000 again and they have the audacity to ask me to leave them a tip they were only there eight hours. They charged me for 10 don't use this company unless they broke a lot of my shit too medical equipment. I told them not to break. They broke one of them. I ended up having to go buy another U-Haul and fill that up and they they came back and started filling it up. I just threw everything in there broke. One of my lamps broke one of my dressers. I didn't want to miss this review but it was in May 2024. The Good: Always quick, friendly, and helpful to answer the phone. Maybe a little too timely as I had a "moving from" and "moving to" window to hit and the crew was early for all (and I paid for that). The Bad: This was a partial move. Crew didn't listen to me and loaded up some wrong items which had to be unloaded... glad I caught them during the loading. I was told many times via phone and in person... "no need to empty drawers and cabinets... we load and carry carefully". First let me say that care was deep into the abusive end. Drawers with soft clothing... OK, but other items like a TV cabinet, armoire, file cabinet, etc., held removable shelves and dividers and non-breakable stuff. However I had "assumed" all would be loaded and transported upright. Not so: Chest of drawers, two nightstands, file cabinet were turned upside down... what a mess inside to clean up. All other items were on their sides. Some items had glass sliding doors... easy to see all of the stuff inside turning like inside of a washing machine. I ended up with a broken glass door, but the worst of it was their equipment... handcarts with no padding at all... Meant to haul old file cabinets to the dump maybe... surely not someone's furnishings. Every piece of wood furniture was scratched, chipped, or gouged from careless handling and these awful hand carts. And they didn't care. If I could have watched them from the start for everything, I'm sure I would have stopped the process. And then in the end... pages of disclaimers to be signed for... they are responsible for nothing even if you don't sign the pages... and collection agencies if you don't pay on the spot. It was surely anti-customer and customer's belongings. And it was expensive for sure... much more than basic quote. Last... TV's stand was disassembled from the TV... and left behind in the former home. Of course they had to admit with a chuckle yet I was the one left holding the bag. Do Not Use This Company. read more

Before hiring All My Sons Moving, do yourself a favor and Google "All My Sons Moving SCAM." I wish I had. It would've saved me thousands of dollars and an enormous amount of stress during an already difficult time. Here is my experience:    *   I was quoted $1,200 after a video consultation.    *   On moving day, they refused to unload my belongings until I paid $3,600--more than triple the original estimate. This practice is not only unethical, it's the reason laws are now being passed to stop it.    *   I was scheduled to have four movers--only three showed up, and one left within the first hour. That left two movers for an entire house.    *   They damaged my walls and baseboards significantly.    *   I was charged over $1,000 just for materials, including billing for 50 boxes when only 22 were used. Some boxes were charged at almost $20 each, just for the cardboard.    *   Despite having stacks of moving blankets, they continued to bill me for unnecessary materials.    *   They cranked my thermostat down to 60°F and left the doors open all day, which caused my AC unit to seize--another out-of-pocket expense.    *   They refused to move one item, claiming it was "infested with spiders." When I asked to see it, there were no spiders at all. I genuinely suspect one of the workers may have been under the influence.    *   They began billing hourly from the moment they left their office, and spent the first 30 minutes walking around the house doing nothing.    *   At one point, they disappeared--to a QT gas station--for an unknown amount of time. I had been at work and I had to drive back and forth between homes trying to locate them. I was billed for all of that time.    *   And after all this, when I went back to do a final walk through, they left behind an entire couch and multiple pieces of heavy gym equipment, leaving me--alone and without help--to deal with it. My husband was out of state, and I had no one else to help me. I called daily for a resolution and was promised a return call each time. I never received a single one. Please learn from my experience. This company shows zero concern for its customers, and I'm far from the only one. Read the hundreds of other similar stories.
