Excellent work, a true professional with exceptional equipment. Dude was hired for stump grinding, and ground down a stump that had a base 8 feet wide with roots going out in all directions for 6-10 feet. Only took 2.5 hours till that stump was dust ... literally. Friendly and experienced. Would recommend them to anyone with a serious stump grinding job. read more

We've had Saul do several jobs for us over the years, and he is unfailingly professional, prompt, and polite. Particularly noteworthy: of all of the contractors I have dealt with, he is the only one who has consistently dealt with my wife with just as much courtesy and professionalism as when dealing with me. My favorite story is the time we had him remove a eucalyptus which was right next to the street while we were out of town. After dropping it, he began to cut it up into firewood-size chunks. The neighbors, seeing the work, began to gather, telling him that they felt that they should be entitled to some of the wood, since the tree was so close to the street. Saul told them that we had paid him, so as far as he was concerned, the wood was ours--and made sure all of it was tossed over the fence into our yard. My highest recommendation. read more

Saul was easy to get a hold of, came out to my property to give me a bid on the exact day and time he said he would, and gave me a great price to remove a tree from my yard. The tree was close to the house and fences so I was definitely worried about damage. When it came time to remove it these guys were in and out in no time. After buying my house from a lady who was in her 100's and had a "gardener" that planted carpet..no joke...I need someone who knew what he was doing. Carpet guy left a mess in the yard which isn't good since we're up against a canyon. Saul came out and gave us a quote of $300 to clear the weeds down our slope (about 50'wx30'd). i highly recommend a tree and tree hands down. saul is very professional and has a friendly staff. i needed trees and brushes cut and hauled away, they did all that and cleaned up the place before leaving. i had another tree service come out, give me a estimate then bailed on me the day of the job after waiting a week. i met with saul on saturday, we agreed on tuesday and it was finished early tuesday afternoon. with a wood chipper they were able to fit and haul more debris away on my property. i had others come for an estimate but none had the same equipment nor had the price of a tree and tree service. i am planning on using them again for stump removal. thanks again for the great work, i will definitely let anyone who needs tree servicing know about a tree and tree service. read more

I inherited a home in Poway that came with two massive Canary Pines that were around a hundred feet tall. The roots had destroyed the driveway and had started working on the front porch and slab of the home. Those trees may have been pretty but they were also detructive and needed to go. I called around and got several estimates all came in higher than Saul's. He provided me with his insurance information and told me it would in fact be him doing the work. (You really need to be sure about those two things!) He arrived on time with his crew of two guys and performed an awesome job and on budget! Was able to place the charge on AMEX as well. We had Saul and his very friendly and expert crew come to our house In Chula Vista to trim five very large and high Eucalyptus trees and lace a Pepper tree. Saul explained what they were going to do beforehand ,gave a reasonable price, and delivered on his description. They did an excellent job and I would highly recommend them. Saul gave us the best estimate on removing a large pine tree, and thinning out a large ash tree. He was on time, polite, as was his crew, and did a very xlnt cleanup of the two jobs. This job took almost a day and a half. We were present for the pine tree removal and his main man in the tree was awesome to watch. He was careful and safely took down the 60 ft pine with no damage done. Some branches were cut to size for firewood which we kept and stacked, some given away, and the rest shredded. The large ash tree was beautifully thinned out and finished the next day, and some wood kept also. We were relieved that all turned out well and will eventually have Saul back to grind down the big pine tree stump which is now the base for a table. saul was professional and except for continually complaining that his bid was too low, for a package of four trees, he did trim 3 trees of the 4 that were formally quoted. when we paid him for the first three, we asked him if he would keep his word and perform the final tree at the price he quoted. he stated he was a man of his word. a week later when asked when he intended to do the tree. he refused to honor his quote as to the final tree stating that our final tree trim job was larger than we represented. he saw 2 photos and one of its prior trim job. but once paid for the three he demanded almost 2x the money. now we will be forced to schedule and pay another contractor who will charge me the price for one tree. not benefitting from the package deal. read more
