Red Maple was the only company that came by in person to take a look at the property and the work to provide an estimate. Words cannot express how thrilled my family was with the work by Abel and his team at Red Maple. From the first time I reached out via Yelp with my concerns, I was impressed by his responsiveness, professionalism, and the customer service by his team. It all started with my 2 Liquidambar trees that are about 30 to 40 feet tall. In the past month, 4 large branches around 15 feet in length have dropped off overnight on different occasions. We were worried they were dying and the worst case scenario would be to remove our 30+ year old trees. After reaching out to Red Maple on Yelp before 8am, he replied within minutes and after speaking on the phone he offered to look at the trees the very same day (I also reached out to 3 additional companies via yelp and have yet to hear from them). Upon inspection of the trees he assured me that they were healthy and just needed trimming / to be thinned out. Due to our concerns for safety with these large branches falling randomly, we needed to have our trees trimmed as soon as possible. Many times after you meet with the owner of a company, the actual work is done by someone else and you never see them again until final payment. However, because we were concerned for the safety of pedestrians walking by, I was shocked to witness Abel suiting up to trim one of our trees with another employee offering help from below (the rest of his team were already booked at another site but they were able to squeeze us in their schedule). Not only is he the owner of the company, but he is also an expertly skilled tree trimmer! While trimming our trees it should also be mentioned while I was outside appreciating their work, two random contractors who happened to be driving by actually stopped by to compliment their work and ask if they were available to cut their own trees. What impressed me the most with Red Maple was the respect that Abel shows not just to customers but to his employees as well. Well after several years of working with Able (owner of Red Maple), I guess I'm not worth his time anymore. I Called him back in sept for some maintenance and he told me to give him a month to clear his calendar. Called him the next month then the next with zero communication. Very disappointed. So I used this service for the first time on May 5th. They gave me the best rate of the three companies I called. They came out the same day and gave me an estimate. Once I accepted their offer they came out a couple days later to do the job. The ONLY negative and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because they were late and didn't call me. Sorry that is a pet peeve of mine. I like punctuality. My appointment was at 1 PM and I finally called him at 2 PM and asked where they were, because they were over an hour late. The gentleman told me that he was sorry and he was very apologetic but he was tied up on another job site and I guess he lost track of time. So instead they came out at 4 PM. Which was three hours past my regular appointment time and it kind of threw off the rest of my day. I really needed my palm trees trimmed because those big round seeds that fall from the tree are always cluttering up my driveway and I was sick of it. So I agreed to the time. He came out at 4 o'clock with two other people (sorry I can't remember their names, I think Abel is the owner). He went right to work and trimmed three of my palm trees. They did an outstanding job. They even cleaned up all the mess and climb the roof of the neighbor with her permission of course and blew off the dust that got on her house. Able was my point of contact who answered the phone. We made an appt for next day to get a quote to remove the front yard tree, and he called me back later to try and come the day I called. I liked the effort to see me asap. Quote wad $375 with stump grinding. Appt was made for 2 days later and they were pretty much on time. Tree was chainsawed quickly by 2 guys. Then Able showed up with the grinder. They went almost 18 inches deep on the grind, and I did not expect that depth. They filled the hole with the wood grinds, swept up their mess quite well and I paid by credit card. No contract signed or presented, nor emails. Just quick, good service and a swipe of the card.
