We previously had a darker brown stain on our stamped concrete that was very slippery and way too hot in the warmer months. Their team came in and stripped the original finish over the course of a couple days. Cracks in the concrete were patched and sealed. They were thorough and kept the work place clean. Eileen came in and discussed the color options again prior to beginning the color application. She applies the colors all by hand, not a sprayer which makes the difference. Simply impressed. Beyond expectations. Excellent. House built in 1985. 1st owner put in pool with concrete decking. Someone added pebble rock overlay over concrete. 2nd owner took up pebble rock and added a "Cool-Decking" type epoxy and overlay. In 2014, we purchased home. Overlay severely chipping and concrete raised in one section and severely cracked water slide (guessing 35ft Ficus Tree roots behind water slide which we took down). 4 years later, we were able to tackle project. Received 2 Paver Company bids to replace decking @ 40k+ which was totally out of budget. Decided to see if we can resurface. Got 3 Concrete resurfacing bids. A-Z Concrete was middle of the road with pricing - but after checking references and seeing their work we decided to go with them. Here's what needed to be fix: A non functioning water slide that was concrete with tile overlay - severely cracked. A side slab that was raised about 2 inches above coping of pool. A firepit that needed to be removed. Re grout around pool and jacuzzi. Several loose slate and rocks needing repair. Decking grinded and cracks covered/taken care of. And some kind of solution to hold up over the concrete. On budget, A-Z Concrete was excellent. Total project length was about 21 days (which was agreed upon). A big portion of it was grinding the layers in which they had to do by hand because of angles and drainage. Every day, they removed all debris. They were on time consistently (we had fires a few days). They were very detailed - especially in grouting. They checked in daily with us about scheduled and work performed. Coloring was amazing. They took extra time reconfiguring the water slide. We couldn't be any happier. Very responsive company every time we had a concern or question. Very professional, courteous and set our expectations correctly. We have a new backyard at a fraction of the cost of pavers. They worked was performed in August 2018 based on our agreed terms - and we are very happy with the outcome and would recommend. *** I waited intentionally to give review - wanted to make sure we had no issues with their work. I spoke with Eileen over the phone and set up the appointment. She was both friendly and professional. My original concrete contractor had royally messed up my patio. It had uneven color and smear marks in the finishing. A few days later, Eileen came by the house to look at my small patio. When we bought our new home, our HOA mandated that we change our wall that was engineered stone that was over grouted with white back to the original stone. We tried sand blasting and acid and it looked horrible. We had several second opinions and people said we needed to replace the stones and dig them up, or put stones on top of what is there or replace the entire wall altogether. I interviewed 4 contractors, I could not be more pleased that I chose A-Z Concrete. I am a realtor, so I have had my share of talking with contractors. I had just finished a construction project and my stained concrete was pretty worn down and terrible looking, plus it was too dark of a color (done before I bought the house). Eileen (owner) came out and had such a great vision. She not only made my stained concrete look like new, but she lightened it up, and added layers of color so that it looks more like pavers than stained concrete. She also cleaned and sealed my concrete bar countertop and she also made my pool rocks look like new (they were faded and had lots of white spots from calcium deposits). And they washed and sealed all of my stacked stone. It's like I have a new backyard. It's really beautiful. And the colors that Eileen did are perfect. When we purchased our home 13 years ago, the back yard cement was dark (got super hot), slippery (due to sealer) and stamped. After getting the work done, I decided that some very heavy equipment in the garage needing moving to organize it better. I should have asked for help seeing as if the equipment were to fall over it could kill me, but being a big tall man I was too proud and impatient to ask for help. I braced myself between two pieces of equipment and used both legs to force a mill weighing hundreds of pounds to slide across the surface. Suddenly I remembered with dread that it wasn't just my life that was in danger, but I had this beautiful floor in my garage and now it was probably scratched all the way down to the cement! I'm so lucky to have found A-Z Concrete Design! For several months I was searching for a contractor to repair cracks and either stain or overlay my concrete patio.
