The Good - Cook said the nail didn't fully puncture the tire and it didn't need to be replaced. So I appreciate the honesty for this part. 2. The Bad - Replacement of the front brakes. After a few months the brakes were still squeaking and I called to mention this and they said to drive the car longer and it will stop. A year later and they still squeak. I took the car to a mechanic for in inspection and was told that Cook used Oreilly brakes and did not use OEM BWM brakes. Cook did not offer it as an option. It is a 2022 BMW and the brakes the used are unsatisfactory. Had I known they would not use original parts or offer it, I would have had this service done elsewhere. I should have went to a BMW specialized mechanic.

I told him I had already bought my own oil and filter, and he said it would be around $85, which made no sense, so I said I would just return my oil them. When I dropped off the car, I did not confirm the price again, which was apparently my mistake. But I clearly told the guy at the desk, "I I have already spoke on the phone, there is oil and a filter on the passenger seat. Just ignore it. I am going to return it." When I came back to pick up the car, nobody told me the price. They just said, "Tap here." I asked, "How much?" and was told it would be about $151 (or something close to that number). I asked why the price was different from what I had been told on the phone. The guy at the desk could not explain it and went to talk to the "manager." I could clearly hear them talking about me. When Fernando came over, he still did not explain why the price had changed. He just kept saying, "We are only going to charge you $69 for labor." I told him they could charge me the $89 he originally quoted, but I was ignored. He just kept repeating the same thing. My issue was not paying for the work. My issue was being told one price on the phone and then being charged something different without explanation. After I left, I noticed they had taken my old oil, my oil filter, and my receipt from the car... They also drove my car around the block for some kind of diagnostic, and I know that because I have GPS installed, but they never asked for my consent. Is that even normal?

They have kept my 22 year old car running smoothly, even when it appeared it might be done; and it is almost as if they try to find ways NOT to charge me at times. Of course, I gladly pay what is required for services rendered. Obviously, the big issues are critical - such as they dealing with my transmission two years back. But it is also the little things that mean so much. I could give some great examples of above and beyond, but I won't here out of concern someone might try to take advantage. They do these things out of genuine kindness on their part, and as ways of supporting loyal, appreciative, customers. I told them I hope they NEVER retire. I have nothing to gain by stating this. Unless you are 100% satisfied, or if you have any concerns with your current mechanic, GO SEE THESE GUYS!!
