I've been coming to West Coast Tire before, but unfortunately this experience was disappointing enough that I don't plan on coming back. I first reached out to Tom asking about Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS tires. He asked if I meant the RE-71RZ, and I clarified that I specifically wanted the RE-71RS because that's what I currently have on my car. After that, I never received another response. Since I ended up getting the tires myself, I went on their website and scheduled an appointment to have two tires mounted and balanced. Greg then texted me asking me to confirm that I already had the tires before he could give me pricing. I responded right away, gave him the tire information, explained exactly what I needed, and also asked about an alignment. Hours went by and once again, no response. At this point, it just feels like I'm wasting my time trying to give them my business. I previously had an issue where my wheel valves were scratched during service, although, to their credit, they did replace the damaged one. Ever since that situation, though, the communication and service toward me have felt different. I can't say for sure if that has anything to do with it, but if a shop doesn't want my business, I'd rather they tell me instead of leaving me hanging. After being ignored by two different employees while simply trying to purchase tires and schedule service, I won't be returning, and I can't recommend them to my friends or other car enthusiasts that I know. I understand technical issues can happen, but that still doesn't explain my entire experience. I contacted Tom before this outage and after I clarified that I wanted the RE-71RS, I never received another response. Then when I scheduled through the website, Greg reached out to me directly asking for information and I replied immediately. From my perspective, I had already been having communication issues before yesterday's outage. Also, bringing up my other Yelp reviews has nothing to do with the service I received from your shop. My review is based on my actual experience trying to spend money with your business and repeatedly not getting a response. If the outage caused yesterday's delay, I'm willing to acknowledge that, but it doesn't erase the lack of communication that happened beforehand. This was an outstanding company to do business with because of its Service Advisor, Greg Darr. Greg responded immediately to my Yelp inquiry for 2 tire sensors & new tire lug nuts for my 2016 Malibu. His price for the tire sensors was the same cost as the Costco Tire Center, which unfortunately didn't carry tire sensors for a Malibu, & originally recommended 20 new lug nuts. Greg had his mechanic install the new lug nuts that I already had, at no additional cost. The facility has limited areas to wait, but there is a nearby coffee shop within a short walking distance. Greg was personable, smart, a great listener, efficient, professional, & made recommendations to save me money on future car repairs. Greg has earned my trust. West Coast Tires does all types of car work (example: oil changes, etc.), except for body work. I am grateful for Greg's honesty, & will return. read more

I wish I could leave a no star review, they didn't even try to help me I just need to plug up a tire from a little hole my tires had it was 4:35pm they guy said they were closed when they clearly close at 5. I guess they don't value customers or receiving business. I told them I'll pay whatever. Clearly don't like to make money . I know I put plug but that was a typo. I meant to put a patch. I went to a tire shop just a few blocks down and you say you have some many years of experience. The other shop in 15 minutes and there was a technician because he was the one that initially interacted with me. When I looked you up yesterday on Yelp, it said 5 PM on your Yelp page. Top notch service. As a woman who has been scammed numerous times by other auto places I want people to know you can come buy your tires here without bull & hustle. I was treated nicely and given clear explanations and options. They had to order my tires but I was able to come back later in the day to have my tires installed! They have a nice waiting room upstairs with a coffee machine and padded chairs. The bathroom was nice and clean. I highly recommend coming here. read more

Came here to get both front tires replaced after I hit the curb, I have an older car so I was hoping I wouldn't have to pay out for a huge repair. I got a great quote that was already better than other places without haggling, and I got serviced immediately and was in and out of the shop within an hour. I actually had a pretty emergency situation with my car and when I needed to get towed somewhere I actually remembered this place by heart because they treated me so well two years ago. They were able to get three of my tires replaced and a wheel alignment all done same day for a great price. This is one of the only places that Ive ever worked with that never left me on hold for forever, seemed to care so much about getting the work done in a timely fashion, and cared about my financial limitations. (huge on never leaving me on hold. I didn't know this was something I appreciate so much until now bc I was so used to being ignored by other mechanics) Fernando really really helped me out with this entire process and made sure to make me feel taken cared of and was super transparent with me for the entire process. He was seriously so awesome. I genuinely do recommend people come here to get their cars worked on if you're looking for honest people who give a great service. I came in in last Saturday on a whim- most shops are closed on the weekend these days + I needed to get my breaks services as well as new tires. West Coast did not disappoint! Jesus called me to review what work needed to be done before I made it home from dropping off my car! Turns out I did not need new breaks- I cannot rave enough about their honesty! I was ready to buy new breaks but turns out they still had about 45% life left on them. I got 3/4 tires replaced (I had to purchase a new one as a one off less than a year prior) + Jesus found the brand I already had on my car to ensure I had matching tires. It's nice to know there are helpful, efficient, & kind people in this city. I had the car towed here because it wouldn't start up. Not having a working car in LA is very stressful. But, luckily, this shop helped eliminate that for me pretty quickly. They gave me a ride home while they worked on the car. Then, they fixed it (put in an emulator) and I had it back later that afternoon. Would highly recommend this auto repair shop! I recently visited West Coast Tire on 5/4/26 after my tire blew on the 405 fwy. I had my car towed to WCT and parked in front of the shop since it was closed. Went the next morning when they opened and Carlos was took care of everyting. He's friendly and accommodating. I can't say enough good things about West Coast Tire & Service. I initially called them about my Bronco Sport, which had some pretty extensive damage, and I had already been quoted very high elsewhere. When I called, I spoke with Fernando, who immediately told me to bring the car in so they could take a look. Even my AAA tow driver mentioned he knew Fernando and the whole crew there...which honestly said a lot before I even arrived. They were incredibly responsive, honest, and helpful, and they ultimately saved me a significant amount of money. I never felt pressured or upsold, just genuinely taken care of. Later on, I needed a rim replaced. Life and work got hectic on my end, but when I finally brought it in, they replaced the rim within an hour. I wasn't even able to pick it up the same day because I got tied up with work! :( (Will pick up tmw) Fernando and the entire team truly go above and beyond. I was really happy with how quickly they got back to me here on Yelp and how responsive and helpful Fernando was in getting me a quote and setting up an appointment. We sorted everything out on the phone and he was able to get the tires I needed the next morning. I actually had him verify the price for me three times because I couldn't believe how good of a deal it was for four new tires and an alignment. There's a sitting area upstairs with WiFi, chargers, and coffee. It took about two hours and everything was really straightforward. Fernando actually charged me a little less than what was quoted so I was very happy, and they didn't try to push anything else on me. This is the best shop in west LA, dare I say all of Los Angeles!!! Over the last several weeks, I had been having issues with my car's (3 Series BMW) "Right Brake Lamp Malfunction" warning light coming on but no light was visibly out. The warning light would go on and off intermittently which was very confusing. I even paid a tech to take a look at what was going on and they came to the conclusion that there was no issue after charging me $150. Fast-forward to me reaching out to West Coast Tire & Service. I chatted with Justin over a few days and he then asked me to bring my car in so he could take a look as he has extensive experience (over 10 years) with BMWs. He even sent me the potential error codes so I could google them myself as he explained things - such a knowledgeable guy!! I took my car in and they waived the diagnostic fee. This gave me confidence that they genuinely cared about figuring out what exactly was going on. After I went to my pick my car up, they let me know that it was indeed a bulb that was out and they had already replaced it - free of charge. I was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude! Being a woman and taking my car in over the years, I don't doubt that I've been fleeced a few times and to find a shop with caring, honest, and transparent workers was such a breath of fresh air. Fernando was quick to reply when I asked if they had the Subaru scanner that could perform a VDC midpoint setting. Recently had new rear LCA installed and an alignment. The geometry changed, but the alignment shop didn't have a scan tool that could perform the midpoint setting for the VDC. Lesson learned, if you have a Subaru with electronic power steering, and are having a tougher time turning the wheel after suspension work, make sure to have a new VDC midpoint setting. Was able to drop by and get it recalibrated easily enough. It only took a few minutes to get it reset. Justin was kind enough to let me know when it was done and asked if there were any concerns. This shows that they follow up and try to find the motivation to gain context instead of just performing the service which is quite nice. You can tell they value the customer and want to build a relationship instead of being transactional. Prices were fair, especially considering this work was performed by their manager. read more

One of my tires had a blowout and so sent out multiple quote requests via Yelp to different companies and called/emailed other companies. West Coast Tire & Service was the quickest to respond, the most convenient to deal with and the most reasonable price. Justin was very helpful and ordered, received and installed the tire the same day I agreed to the price. They even have a mobile tire installation van which came to my house and installed the tire. Fernando was also great, calling and letting me know when the tire came in to the shop and when the van was nearby. Rigo arrived in the van and was able to quickly install the tire in my driveway and was a pleasure to work with too. Having to replace a tire is no fun, but at least West Coast Tire & Service made it as painless as possible. I just moved from OC to LA. I stumbled onto West Coast when I went to get an alignment and they found many chassis items loose from the previous mechanic. They tightened and adjusted everything all part of the service. Needless to say, I will go there again and again. They just did an oil pan gasket fix and will book an a/c refill and coolant flush as well. They made me glad to own my vehicle again. A+ So glad to find a great place to take my car.
