I've used A1 Everlast three times. The first time my realtor recommended them when I was selling my house and I discovered a leak in my roof right after the home inspection. The prospective buyers didn't know about it but I wanted to do the right thing and get it fixed. A1 came the next day after I contacted them and found the source of the leak and made the repair the same day. They happened to have the same shingles in stock. Leak was fixed. The second time was only a few months after I bought my new house. Apparently the leak followed me there. Again, they came the next day to take a look. Tim came and was really nice and made jokes and stuff with my kids. Took his shoes off even, which no one ever does. Came back in a day or two once they got the matching shingle and fixed the leak. Pretty much a week later I found another leak on the other side of the house. Tim came back and fixed that one as well. I've read all the bad reviews and just didn't have any of those bad experiences. It might be because I was referred by someone in the home business and they wanted to keep that referral in good standing, but the guys that showed up seemed very genuine and you can't fake that for a good review. They also might very well have taken the negative reviews to heart and are making good, which I would commend. Anyway, based on my experience I would recommend them for leaky roofing as that's the only type of work I've witnessed. read more

This might be the worst company I have ever delt with and should not be in business. Apparently they had fixed my roof but after the job was done according to them it is still leaking...in the same spot and now another spot!!!!. Every time we call to have them fix the job they never FIXED we get the same response and lies. They keeping saying someone will be over at a certain time and no one ever comes! Don't use everlast construction! They supposedly cleaned my chimney and replaced flashers. Two days later my chimney cap blew off. Their negligence could have killed someone. After several calls, nobody has come to fix their mistake. They were readily available when I needed the work done but are nowhere to be found to fix their mistake. Also, I had two different guys out here between giving the quote and doing the work. One said the inside of the chimney looked great and the other said "since I like you, I am going to tell you, the inside of your chimney is in terrible shape and could be very hazardous to you and your family". Contacted them to clean my gutters based on a recommendation, a mistake on my part. They provided an estimate and made an appointment for a Thursday Afternoon but indicated that someone would need to be there. I confirmed this the day of the appointment. The person I talked to was very dismissive and said they would call me before coming. My wife made a point of staying home, nobody showed up and nobody called. I called the main number, 888-399-0955 and the person apologized and said they would come on Saturday morning, between 10 & 11. Again no one showed up. I called again and the person who said he was just answering the phone said the person who gave me the estimate should have done the work on the spot and they don't come back. I told him that it was not the case and that I had read bad reviews about just this thing and I could understand them and might want to add my thoughts to them. He told me to go "F--K" myself and hung up. This is just one review. I encourage you to read them all, I wish I had. Among other things, their site indicates that they are "Highly accredited by the Better Business Bureau", this is simply a lie. SCAMMERS, SCAMMERS, SCAMMERS!!!! They are completely unreliable. They take forever to finish a job. One of the guys we dealt with, who will remain nameless, is a total tool. He looks like he's on speed when he talks with you and doesn't let you finish your sentence. Then they make recommendations for other vendors and they're just as bad! I'm not too sure why there are bad reviews about this company?. I contacted everlast for a step repair and they showed up at my house the very next day. They were outstandingly knowledgeable and provided the best customer service i have seen in years. they did their job very quickly and efficiently. they also left the worksite absolutely spotless. they also gave me a price that was very resonable compared to the other companes i contacted. and above all, they were very friendly and respectful to myself and my entire family. i highly recommend everlast for any masonry work that needs to be done! I did not even get passed the estimate, as they he was so rude I asked him to leave. After explaining what we wanted done (estimate at $20k by a competitor) the estimator started telling me what needed to be done. When I asked a question which I guess challenged what he said his response "really, would you like to show me". When I told him that his response was rude he told me was "too sensitive" so I asked him to leave. He kept going with comments when I asked for a business card with him name to submit a complaint. His response was it did not matter as he was the best sales man. Not too sure how that could be but either way the complaint was submitted to the owner and no way they would ever get the business. read more

DO NOT USE this company!!! They are scammers!!! My father needed a chimney to be cleaned, I called and spoke with Pat. To my surprise he offered to come the same day for a free estimate. My father met with him or his worker who left a business card with a name of Tim (although when I spoke to the man on the phone he told me his name was Pat and he would be coming). Both father and son duo came. He looked at the work that my father needed done and told him that was an easy job that could be done that day. He then insisted on looking at the roof. When they came back down, they told my father that the chimney needed to be completely redone. He quoted my father a price of $2,700.00. My father told him he would get back to him. He then told him he could do it at a discounted price of $1,700.00. My father informed he needed to discuss this with someone else and he would get back to him, should he decide to have them perform the job. He left his card and insisted that he call him back. Upon leaving, not even half hour later, he called my dad again and asked if he had discussed it and needed an answer by that day. My father informed him that he would let him know. Not even an hour later calls again and insist that my father do the job with him. My father informed him that he was not the only one to make the decisions on this. The next day comes around.....and guess who calls yet again....telling my father that he has numerous violations and that he needed someone who was a professional to do the job. My father than Informed him that he will not be hiring them as he found a professional with a license who would complete the job for $400.00. The man hangs up the phone on my father. Half an hour later calls again, my father does not answer the phone and he continues to call numerous times. Finally after about 5 calls he stops calling. The next day....guess who calls yet again.... my father picks up the phone, he informs my dad that he has a hazardous chimney and that because he chose to go with someone else who will not do what needs to be done he will call the city on him and have him violated. The truth is my dad had no violations, the chimney was perfectly fine and all that needed to be done was a cleaning. These people are completely unprofessional, down right nasty and will try to harass you and scare you into being scammed!!! This is family owned business because the father has thought the son how to scam and rob from innocent people who do not know any better!!! This company should be shut down!!! Wish I would have read all the reviews before calling them!!! They are pretty desperate for money and will try to do anything to get it.......even harass and threaten you!!!! PLEASE listen to the other negative reviews and DO NOT TRUST these people. It seems that they have done a decent job for certain people over the years (who knows how they pick and choose who not to steal from), but they are definitely not trustworthy!!! In the process of buying a house, we hired A1 for a Level II chimney inspection. These are serious legally binding inspections that affect how your negotiations go with the seller of the house, and can definitely impact your safety. Unfortunately, our realtor recommended the company so we trusted the work and actually were not present for the inspection. We like our realtor, but we made a HUGE mistake trusting them to do their job. We received the "Level II Inspection" which said we needed almost $4000 in work, including a new stainless steel liner. The house we are buying was flipped, so we thought there could be that much damage and presented the report to the sellers. They sent us their own inspection (by a different local company) which mentioned some small repairs and nothing more, about $500 worth of work. So we were in a situation where we had to figure out who was "correct". In researching the issue, we found out that a Level II inspection should ALWAYS come with photos, or even video, to back up the claims of the report, because it is such an important document and usually given as legal evidence. When we asked A1 where our photos were, they said they don't take photos for these inspections. When we asked them if they could provide more information or another report to back up their claims, they skirted the questions and kept saying they would call back and never did. We have now spoken to 3 other chimney companies for advice on the issue and all were shocked that we did not get photos. A1 had nothing to say about this. SO now we have to pay another company to do a whole new Level II inspection 1 week before we are supposed to close. All because A1 wanted to steal $150 in hopes we would be stupid enough to pay them $4000 more. STAY AWAY! read more

Terrible experience. Needed mason work done in my backyard. Anthony came to measure and take a look so he could give me a quote. I had to follow up several times for a quote. Finally received it and was told work would begin shortly. Rain delayed everything a few days (totally understandable) and then he fell off the face of the Earth. Sent several emails with no response. Called the office, and was told someone would call me back, nobody ever did. Called AGAIN the following day and was told someone would call me back in 2 minutes, nobody ever did. Called AGAIN and the receptionist told me that "Anthony left a message that he is not interested in the job." Seriously?! It amazes me that people like this can stay in business. read more

Poor customer service/Subpar work/Wish I read these reviews - I was impressed with the sales technician, Elliot, who came to my home. I handpicked this company out of ten companies because he was knowledgeable about the craft, answered all of my questions in a thorough manner and the price was competitive. Too bad Elliot was not the person who actually did the work. Three men came to do the work today. Their work was not on par with my expectations. They left some parts of the work completely undone... half of each side of my home did not have any concrete, so I asked them to complete it. They completed the work and left. After they left, I noticed they accidentally embedded a leaf in the concrete so I called the office so that they can address before the cement dries. The owner took that call and screamed at me. He told me the crew had advised I was being difficult. I am still in so much shock by how mean he was. I advised that I should not be screamed at because I was a customer and polite towards everyone. I simply asked them to complete the unfinished parts and touch up a few spots. The owner saw nothing wrong in his behavior and told me to get over it. As much work as I need to get done, they lost a lot of business from me. Stay far away unless you are okay will being treated badly. read more

I am writing this review based on my 84 year old mother's experience. She was scammed by these people. She needed a, what seemed like a small job, done on the roof due to some heavy snow and ice accumulation. She called this company based on a mailer that was sent to the house. She was told she needed a particular job done. She had the work done and paid the company quite a bit to do it. A few months later her roof was leaking. She called this company again, because they said they guaranteed their work, and they told her it was something else that was wrong with the roof, not the work they did, although the leak was coming from the area they had done the work. Mom had them do the job and paid quite a bit again. Recently a leak appeared on the ceiling of her houses upstairs hallway. Guess where it is coming from? The same place these people supposedly did the work. Mom called the company several times and was not getting call backs. She then called a number she was given by one of the workers. Turns out it was one of the owner's personal phone lines. She was told a rep would come out and look at the leak, no one showed up. Mom called again, was told someone would come out, another no show. Then, supposedly the person had a family emergency. Mom was told at least 4 times someone would show up and they did not. My next step is to file a complaint with the BBB. My husband and I hired A1 and they came to our home on 4/25/15 to give an estimate on a leak in the roof of our baby's room that caused mold to the drywall. On 4/29/15 a different employee than the one who gave the estimate came to perform the roof repairs. In the mean time we had to completely replace the dry wall in that room. Not even a month later a leak in the same part of the room began to form and we called A1. The manager, Pat, said he would not send anyone over to fix it although our paperwork states: 5 YEAR WARRANTY ON MATERIALS. 5 YEAR WARRANTY ON WORKMANSHIP. My husband complained and they came over to do a quick caulk job on the outside of the home. Not even 5 months later on 10/2/15 we have another leak in the same spot of the roof in our baby's room. The young man that came over last came back and did a quick caulk job on the outside of the roof. I received a call from the manager, Pat, that they would never be back to our home. I said fine, refund me the $400 we paid and we will hire someone else to fix our roof. He was rude and tried to state that although my paperwork states paid in cash, he doesn't believe it was a paid in full as the repairs should have cost us more to begin with, then hung up on me. The paperwork on this company states, "Honest, Commitment, Quality for many years." This company is anything but what it states to be. Performing shoddy work, not honoring a warranty, and RIPPING OFF A PREGNANT WOMAN is apparently not a big deal to this company. read more

I used this company for gutter cleaning. The job went well last year. The staff were very professional and got the job done without any issues. However this year was a completely different story. I scheduled an appointment for gutter cleaning and due to limited time availability, I had to cancel my office hour and waited for them at home. However, no one showed up after two and half hours. I called the company and was told there is an emergency and staff could not make it. The person gave me no answer why no one called me once they knew the staff could not make it. I called back the next day and i was told that no one would be able to do the job because the weather is getting cold and was expecting snow. No apology and what so ever. I scheduled the job two weeks ago and that was the only time offerred to me. I know gutter clean may be a small job to them but is an important chore for me. I also hope that they know we have work and other responsibilities and we have to cancel other obligations to wait for them at home. I will be hesitated to use them again next year. read more

If I could leave -5 stars, I would in a heartbeat. These people are criminals of the worst kind. My grandmother paid nearly $20K for a new roof for her home in March 2015 and it's already coming apart. Pieces of her roof have begun falling off. Every time it rains, she has enough water leaking into the house to fill entire pots of water several times over. My grandfather passed away recently and my grandmother is also the primary caretaker of my father who is literally dying of ALS and, in addition to dealing with all of that, she's now struggling to get A1 Everlast to honor the warranty on her substandard roof. It took several weeks to get anyone to return her calls and, after they finally sent someone out to inspect the condition of the roof, they stopped returning her calls altogether. She contacted the BBB but there's only so much that will accomplish. Don't waste your money or mistakenly place yourself in the same position as my poor grandmother. A1 Everlast is not a reliable or worthwhile contractor. read more

I called A1 Everlast Construction to do repair on my dormer that was leaking. Bob came to look and said it had to be replaced. Bob and his crew came to do the work unfortunately the replaced the shingles with sand grey shingles, but my roof is black. I have called numerous times...he was busy but will get to me soon...one month later I am still waiting. What a MESS was left on my roof, and my gutters were ruined with a mess of shingles in it. I have screen installed in my gutters to catch leaves and dirt which were all torn apart. I would NOT recommend them to my worst enemy. They do not care about the work they do and leave or their clients I have reported them to they Beter Business Bureau and they do not reply to them. I should have to call someone to fix my gutters? I don't think so! or have someone come and pay to have this done all over with the correct color? I don't think so! Now we will have legal action and this place should be shut down.... read more

Called A1 Everlast to have gutter replaced. Anthony came right out & gave me a decent quote but after gutter was installed, gutter leaked. I called back to have someone come out & repair & Pat said he would send someone out to take a look. After several hours & several phone calls back, no one ever showed. A couple months later and the next rainy day, gutters still leaking & another phone call to Pat & was told he would send someone out to look at. Again, after waiting all day & several phone calls, no one showed. A couple of months later and the next rainy day, I called Pat & again he said he would send someone. I took off from work on a Monday because Pat said he would send someone. After several hours & several phone calls to Pat, no one showed. It turns out that Dan showed up on Tuesday, put a note in my mailbox that gutter looks fine but he never got out of his truck because my son was home & he saw that no one got out of the truck.
