We have a lot of major construction happening with our older home and large lot in the hills of Berkeley. We've gone thru every version and form of getting stuff out of here, from dirt and concrete, construction debris and general household junk. We've rented U-Haul trucks, dumpsters, hired other haulers, and deployed our own small labor crews to load em up and haul it all off. Literally, thousands of dollars spent, but with no regrets. Until that is, I connected with "Nash" at A-1 Hauling. Still no regrets for our past choices, but I cannot rave and recommend highly enough, the use of A1 Hauling services for your hauling needs. Timely, very fair & extremely competitive quotes over the phone with a few pics. And with a rapid turnaround time to show up and get the job done. Very courteous and efficient workers who moved 3-4 tons of concrete in less than an hour. As they were finishing up, and just as I was about to ask them, they asked me if there was anything else to haul, and I said yes! They took a bunch of large demo bags with other mixed debris and yard stuff, not included in Nash's excellent quote, and at no extra charge. I let Nash know (about the extra stuff) when I called in to make payment, and he asked me if I wanted to tip the guys, which I did happily! I talk to Nass on the phone and I told him can he washer pressure the bricks to clean them and he said yes an extra 200 so when they arrived they used my broken broom to sweep the dirt and that didn't even fully clean them but they got the trash up for 340 so I than only paid 100 because they said they were not leaving my house and I am a young women with a 1 year old kid at home. They are a horrible company that gets over. We talked over the phone to power wash to clean the bricks than I text clean the bricks and didn't think you would try and get over. So I bought a condo about 3 months ago and had to move from my apartment that I'd been living for 15 years!!! Crazy, right? First: They will ask you for an approximation of what they'll be picking up. That's just so they can estimate how much room it will take on the truck, and that's how they determine pricing. Second: Schedule a time, and voila. Come Saturday morning, they arrived at my place, on time, super polite, professional and ready to work. I wish I could give them six stars! They were running a little bit late, but called me before hand to let me know and make sure it wasn't a problem. So, the communication was good. When they got there, they saw the job we went over what needed to be done and worked everything out with no problems. The fee was very reasonable. He gave me an accurate quote and stuck to his quote without adding any hidden charges. I called multiple different places before and after to check pricing. I used Yelp's quote system by sending a photo to show the amount and describing the rubbish as sheetrock and timber framing plus location. Nashat was the only one of the four I sought quotes from that used the estimate column and stuck to the price. We initially did not choose A1 as it was not the cheapest. The one we did choose disappointed us on the day so I 'phoned Nashat (after knocking his quote back the day before) and he agreed to come within the hour for the same price.
