We had a startling surprise at 10 pm last week when our shower yielded no hot water! We called 3 plumbers the next day and all were booked for several days. The only reassuring words came from Christina at A-1 Plumbing, who said we're completely booked, but you need hot water, so we'll squeeze you in as soon as possible. What beautiful words to hear! Travis arrived the next day and after his thorough and knowledgeable inspection, announced the demise of our poor old decrepit hot water heater. He spent an hour on the phone shopping for us. He recommended a Rheem, brand, but it couldn't be shipped until the next day. He made other recommendations, which were available that day, but I trusted his expertise and agreed to wait until the next day when our new Rheem arrived. Travis and Carl delivered it together and installed it perfectly. We appreciate A-1's friendly, honest and forthright service. They not only installed our new hot water heater to our satisfaction, but they also alerted us to a dangerous issue with a cracked furnace vent pipe, where gases could escape, which could have been life saving. I was very pleased with the work that A-1 Plumbing did for me recently. I needed to have a pipe replaced which was going to be quite expensive, and called A-1 Plumbing on the recommendation of a friend. Carl came out to my house to give me a quote, and due to the nature of the work, there was a wide range between the low estimate of the cost, and the high estimate. Carl explained everything very well, answered all my questions and helped me understand the details of payment. On the day that the work was scheduled, everyone working on the pipe replacement arrived promptly at the time they promised, and everyone was very friendly and respectful. The work was done in the time that they said it would be done, and the total cost came out to be at the low end of the estimate! I was so pleased with the cost and the work that was done, and enjoyed working together with Carl and his team. They were all very friendly and knowledgeable. On Sunday morning we discovered that we had a water leak in our crawl space. We called A-1 and they had a plumber out to our house within two hours. He crawled in one foot of very cold water in the crawl space until he found the leak in the main line to the house from the well. He scheduled major repair work for Monday and had the new water line completely installed by 5:00 pm Monday. The cost was extremely reasonable and the plumber was very pleasant and professional. We recently were out of water on a 3 year old tank, the cost of the part and time to get the part and install it was 2/3 of the price of a new brand name , guaranteed unit. They went to work and worked overtime to assure we had hot water by evening. My wall mount toilet was leaking, and I needed new shut off valves on the main water pipes in the basement. Other plumbers told me two weeks out but A-1 came in two days!
