I do want to start by saying that the driver who wears the Dodgers hat is awesome and I have nothing against him. He's always been very professional. The other driver though, named Zack, also the owner's son, is a complete jerk and you should not get in a car with him. My friend and I needed a ride from a bar downtown, called Redlands Taxi and got a call from Zack when he was out front. In his words "hurry up, I'm out front." So we walked to the front, trying to finish our beers before we got to the entrance. He gets out of his car, looks us up and down and says, "Oh, you're who I'm picking up? Take your time finishing those drinks girls." Ok, slightly creepy, but we were thankful we didn't have to chug a half a beer each. So we get in the cab, and my friend says she's greatful that he could pick us up so quickly. Zack makes some comment about sorry sweetie, but I'm more in to blondes, and stares at me in the front seat. I didn't hear this, but she repeated it back to me later. She was appalled, of course, who says that!? Anyways, dropped her off at her car at a nearby restaurant and proceeded to drive back to my house. I was about to be let off at my front door when I got a text from a few other friends asking me to meet them downtown for another drink... I repeated this text to Zack and asked if he had any other pick-ups or was he able to take me back downtown.. He said, "You know what, I will drive you there and pick you up whenever you're ready, no charge, it's a slow night so I really don't mind." Me, in my naivete, or perhaps slightly drunk state, thought, oh, how nice of him. So he drops me off at a bar downtown, I stay for maybe an hour and then call him when my friends are ready to leave. I told my friends that he was picking me up and they obviously thought something was amiss. Not sure why they didn't just offer to drive me, but told me they would follow me anyways to make sure I got home safe. So I get picked up by Zack (who had given me his personal number so I wouldn't have to go through the call service and be charged, also shady) and we pull up to my house. He turns off the engine as I get out of the car. As I'm putting my keys in the door, I realize he is behind me!!! WTF!!! So my friends come running around the corner to my front door and start flipping out on him, as do I! He makes up some bs about how I told him it would be cool for him to come back to my place! Are you f***ing kidding me. Not gonna say I have the best taste in men, but an obese balding cab driver isn't really my cup of tea, just sayin. So my friends continue to yell at him and tell me to go inside. They start threatening to call the cops. It wasn't until my friend actually started dialing 911 that he said fuck it and got back in his car and peeled out. Seriously grateful that my friends followed me back this night. Oh, and another thing, Zack drives in an UNMARKED car with no meter. Shady, shady. Avoid at all costs, especially if he says there is none.
