Job done May 23 2025 exterior painting of a 2 storey house gutter / fascia. The owner Rodney was pleasant when he came to estimate the job that's why I am still giving the company a 1 star rating but the job was sloppy because of the following: 1. Cutting corners- the top areas of the gutter was not painted with the old paint still showing if you check from the second floor. They were gone by the time I went up, lesson learned. 2. Inadequate area preparation : old peeled paint on some of the areas were not removed resulting to what looks like wrinkled bubbly appearance. 3. Some uneven surface areas 4. Drips of paint by the cemented area the back of the house. I had to scrape them off. 4. After care: washing the brushes by the plant and grass showing until now white spots on some areas of the backyard I would not recommend this company! read more

I hired Rodney's company and they were great! I've had to deal with a decent amount of contractors lately and he was a breath if fresh air. He was quick and responsive, very friendly, and really good at nailing down details about the job. He verified what paint, what was to be painted, how it would go, all very well beforehand. I have a 1923 California Bungalow with stucco and a mishmash of weird doors and wood. The roof is almost 20 feet high and I have rocks blocking parts of the side. It was literally no problem! My house is not easy to paint at all. His price was very reasonable and between the wonderful job and his communication, I would absolutely recommend him! read more

We contacted Home Depot online for a house painter. The request is posted and painters call you to discuss your needs. Rodney Moyer called us within 10 minutes of our request, very impressive. Rodney was very nice and acted immediately by visiting our house to get an idea of what it would cost us to do the job/estimate. He sent us a quote the same day of his visit. Lastly, we met him at the house (our rental property) and explained in detail what the job would entail. We liked him reasonable quote and signed the contract on the spot. Rodney was prepared to start the job right after the contract was signed which he did. Our house was completed by noon the next day! His work is excellent and clean, no mess to clean up afterwards. He did such a great job our friends hired him too and a neighbor asked for his number! Excellent service and love that he's a Veteran. Highly recommend Rodney. Rodney and one helper painted two sides of my exterior as agreed. Price seemed good. However they worked very quickly and the details suffered. They showed up early and on time; spent under five hours on site (during the first visit - the call back took him another hour+). They left many runs, drips, splatter, uncaulked gaps, and paint across boundaries. He also left trash around and didn't close up the paint cans tightly when he was finished. The call back was unnecessarily stressful and required me looking over his work multiple times. At the end he still left some trash lying about. read more

Rodney was soooo pleased with his painting the inside of our home in Roseville in ONE DAY...well....he missed a few spots,kitchen,bathroom..and now the heater people showed up to inspect the heating job that was done ....and guess what....paint came off places that Rodney had sprayed instead of rolled...and now we have spots all over our house where the paint just came off with simple tape that the heating inspector said should never have happened....then I remember Rodney and his big claim to fame of HEY I CAN PAINT A WHOLE HOUSE IN ONE DAY!!! Paint on garage doors had huge bubbles all along the panels. Came and did a poor repair. Bubbled again and he said he "didn't know" what was wrong and would only scrape/sand and repaint. How can a guy who has been painting for 20 plus years not know what is the problem?? Hired a painting consultant and said the paint was applied to heavily. Doors needed to be stripped and repainted. Rodney would not do that. Finally I stripped and repainted. Do yourself a favor and do not hire this guy. His customer service is terrible! Worst painting experience ever!! read more

I had contracted with Rodney to paint the underside of the eaves and to correct a bit of wood rott on one of the beams for an agreed upon price. When Rodney dropped off his business card after giving me a quote, I saw the slogan, "We turn yucks into WOW's". I was skeptical. My new house was a pretty big yuck. I had just purchased an older home with dingy, dirty walls and tons of nooks and crannies, original cabinets from 1951 that looked like they had not been cleaned since then! If I could give less than one star, I would. Apparently Rodney feels that less than 8 hours is sufficient time to prep and paint a 1800+ sq ft multi-story house. My husband and I both impressed upon him to take his time to make sure it is done correctly the first time. He did not listen, he just wanted to finish and move on to his next job. Did not prime before painting, not even the areas that had brand new siding and wood trim or the areas that had new stucco patch. He felt one coat of paint was enough as he claims to have covered it thickly. This was not the case. We had to have him come back multiple times to touch up areas he missed. Each time he would get more irritated and rush through, actually creating more mistakes. We finally had to go with a different painter to "fix" his work. I use quotes for "fix" because really the only way to truly fix it is to completely re-spray the entire house from scratch, which isn't going to happen at this point. The new painter was floored at how bad this all looked, but at least he did his best to try to fix it. Now I have to live with the touch up work and areas that you can see the lines where it was touched up. I definitely DO NOT recommend this painter. Very shoddy workmanship. read more

We had the exterior of our 3000 SF Fair Oaks home painted by A1 Quality Painting in June 2018. Rodney pressure washed the entire area the day before and he and his crew were here at 6:30 the next day to begin. Everything was masked off perfectly and the painting turned out beautifully. Our home is 42 years old so there are a lot of mature plants, bushes, and trees which he covered while painting. When finished with the painting he and his crew did a thorough cleanup. We asked that Sherwin-Williams paint be used (which was a bit more expensive) and Rodney provided the paint we asked for.
