On August 2, 2023, one of the sewage ejection pumps for a duplex pump system for a large apartment complex downtown stopped working. I needed a pumping service that could pump out a sewage pit two levels down in an underground parking structure before the other pump failed. I called and left emails with many pumping companies for 3 weeks and only 1 pumping contractor called back to let me know he couldn't do the job. Then there's A1 Septic!! Wow! Where have these guys been!! These guys are the best!! Here why: 1. Live person picks up the phone (Stephanie was great every call)! 2. Upfront about pricing and cost! 3. Follow-up calls (Supervisor Aaron kept in contact with timeframes and available trucks)! 4. Caring! 5. On time and clean!! When service technician Blake showed up in a spotless, clean chrome tank pumping truck, my first impression was PRO-FESS-ION-AL!! Detailed clean like a Fire Truck (spoke volumes)! Blake was a stud and found a way to get those hoses two levels below street level and get it done. The Post-Covid culture seemed to breed bad contractors with no integrity, performing bad services always with excuses instead of accountability. What an experience! I have used a Ramona based septic company since 1996, a great team of hard workers. Recently I called and asked a few questions about getting service and was surprised how rude the "lady" answering the phone was. I reluctantly scheduled an appointment after several scheduling volleys between me and the "customer service rep" Then I called A1, and Blake answered the phone (while driving his truck, working in the field). So I quickly scheduled my day with A1 and informed the Ramona based company I am moving on to A1. Yesterday on time, Sebastian shows up from A1. Professional, courteous, and willing to answer a few of my nerdy septic questions. He located my tank and dug it out in under an hour and even offered some ideas to keep my septic system happy. I also spoke with Leslie at A1 on the phone and mentioned the great work everyone does at A1. We just discovered our tank was full last night with bubbling toilets. Called A1 this morning and much to my delighted surprise they were able to come out not only the same day but in the next hour! Cameron did an amazing job and had a wonderful attitude and friendly demeanour. He explained what he was doing and performed an efficient pump service with a smile. I would absolutely recommend Cameron and the A1 septic company for all your specific needs based on this experience, and will definitely call them again when we need pumping again in a few years. I started calling A1 when my original installer and service company was purchased or merged with another company. I could never get service from them in the short time I needed it and they had no record of the decades of service to me. A1 is always there when I need them any time of the week. They do charge me a distance charge, but when you need pumping you need it. This time the tech was Kyle who actually was there within an hour. He helped clean the covers off and when we discovered that the problem was in the entry to the tank, he knew exactly which tool to use to clean that out. I requested my septic tank pumped. A-1 Septic was great. I was able to make an appointment within days of my call. The technician, Christian Esquer was wonderful. He arrive on time. He was pleasant, courteous, kind, friendly and patient. He was a delight and I so appreciate the work he does. He readily answered my questions. He showed me pictures of work that needs attention at some future time in the life of my septic tank. There was absolutely no pressure to fix any of the issue immediately. I don't know where to start with these guys so I'll start from the beginning lol. Right off the bat Chris was the most friendly and professional on the phone! And then to my surprise he was the the best price and the quickest to be able to come out! Well it gets better. When he and Blake showed up I wasn't as ready as I thought I was. But instead of freaking out like other companies do they helped me out and we resolved the issue in minutes! And when it came time to do the job they showed me something that is very rare these days. A 1 Septic deserves five stars as they provide prompt honest and reliable service. I first contacted another septic service company. I was told by the person they sent out that my tank was failing and I may need a replacement or he could fix it fo $1400 and he would need to be paid "cash in advance". I then called Chris at A 1 Septic After pumping and inspection they assured me my septic tank were in good condition and did not need any repair/ replacement which could cost an unsuspecting customer potentiality thousands of dollars. Every once in awhile a service provider goes so far above and beyond it's hard for people to believe. Their first trip to the house to pump out the septic I couldn't find the tank. No charge. Blake, one of the founders, came out again and pumped our tank. As he was preparing to leave he heard what sounded like something dropping into the tank. It was our old partially blind Gorgi. Without hesitating, he squeezed down into the tank and put the dog in a bucket which I hauled to the surface. I'll never use another Septic Service! read more

Best septic pump experience we have ever had! We had Christian come out to help with our needs. He kept us up to date when he would arrive and arrived ontime. I showed him where the tank was and he got to work. There was a slight hiccup on our part with our deck, but we found a way around it. The last provider only pumped part of the tank and not both sides. He showed us what needed to be done and did it the right way. We couldn't be happier with the service! A1 was a true life saver! Unfortunately, Thanksgiving we had a septic problem and Black Friday got a whole new meaning! Super Clean Trucks and Speedy Service, I called on a Friday, and even though the schedule was full, the manager himself came out the following Monday and did a through pump out, inspected the tank, said it's still sound and functioning after all these years. Warned me it would take a day for the smell to completely dissipate and that was exactly how it went.
