I didn't think anything until she explained that the fresh, green, exclusive design is only available in a backpack, laptop sleeve, pencil case, and lunch bag... plus, it will only be shipped to Hawaii addresses with a minimum purchase of $200 to avoid shipping charges. Uhg... I pondered about what to get. Cece said the pencil case ($32) was on the small side. She went to the store and snapped a few photos with her hand for size comparison. Hmm... I decided on the lunch bag because it included a crossbody strap as well as a handle on the top. Cece stood in line for me and said that the salespeople were super kind and organized. She was first in line and got my bag for me. Later, I went when there was no line. The cozy shop was clean and bright and stocked well! Cashiers were smiling and helpful! I'm so happy with this quality, exclusive product! Thank you, Cece, for helping me with this decision!

Walked into this specific Aloha Collection store only to be met by the RUDEST customer service…read moresales associate. There were signs inside the store for discounted rates if you're willing to spend $150 or more, and being a fan of the brand I was ready to do so. I only wanted to confirm which bags are included (also stated on signs inside store to ask sales associate) and this girl gave so much bad attitude when getting asked about this store promo. To the store manager of this specific location (next to Moana Surfrider) , please don't hire sales associates who don't enjoy helping your customers because I was so turned off by this that I walked out the store without purchasing due to the service I received. Today is April 26, 2026, time around 4pm and she was wearing blue/green, long hair, islander girl. This definitely did not sit well with me that I had to immediately write this review.

However, be prepared to pay more than what you'd expect as other reviewers had pointed out - the prices are high for what these items really should cost, which sucks, but I believe there is a reason(s) for this. I purchased a small plush keychain, a tee, a magnet and a sticker and the cost was just over $90 - the cost of the tee surprised me the most as it's $55 and I was expecting this to be more in the $40-$45 range. The store is on the smaller side and even on a weekday afternoon after 3pm, it was packed. It's located at the end of the row of stores, adjacent to the side of the Royal Hawaiian where the Sheraton is. Staff at the store were nice and helpful with any questions that I had. Besides the plushies, they had a great selection of stickers as well as magnets and keychains. For decades, I was aware of how popular Miffy has been in Japan (my cousin in Japan had Miffy items since the 90's), but for the U.S., I feel it has become increasingly popular within the last 2-4 years or so. I'm not sure if it's possibly because the creator, Dick Bruna had passed away in 2017 and since then, licensing and the creation of more Miffy merch and collabs may have become more easier to come out with, at least that's been the speculation. Although I'm generally not a fan at all of Hello Kitty or Sanrio, nor do I particularly like rabbits, there is something about Miffy that does appeal to me more than Sanrio characters - likely the simple design and neutral expression on Miffy and that it came before Sanrio characters such as Hello Kitty and its European vibes. Before this, I'd ordered a plush Miffy keychain from the Kira online shop in SF. The keychain ended up being much bigger than expected for me to place on a bag/backpack so I decided that I'd stop by this store during my few days in HI to see if I can find a smaller keychain and maybe a tee as I heard this is currently one of only two Miffy themed stores in the U.S., the other being Miffytown in Kentucky. If you're in Honolulu and are a fan of Miffy, then this is worth checking out.

The shop was very cute, with a sort of museum shop aesthetic: clean and colorful with lots of interesting merchandise, much of it made by local small businesses and artists. I didn't have time to do a full browse, but I definitely liked what I saw. There were a few baseball caps available, and I picked a flexible black one with a pink hibiscus patch sewn on the front. I wore it almost every day for the rest of my trip, from Hawaii to the Philippines. The cap made a nice souvenir, and I continue to get use out of it at home. I'm glad Mori appeared when it did. It's a great shop, definitely worth checking out if you're in Honolulu.

They partner with local artists to create some very unique designs and everything is made with great care and high quality. I think my favorite part about this store is that you can customize your own frame. You first select the base size, then pick the frame and you can select additional wooden elements for decoration. They turn out very cute and I think it makes it a very memorable souvenir. Besides the frames, they also have amazing art pieces and smaller gift items like magnets and coasters. They also have a very nice selection of Christmas ornaments which I think are way better than the ones they sell at the Christmas stores in Waikiki. Sugarcane is this cute shop where you can find all these locally made items for a gift, for the home, fir kids, for a friend, or for visitors. They have books, puzzles, toys jewelry, totes, bags, coasters and more. I love the wooden toys for the kids. I bought a wooden cell phone, a camera, stickers and a cute cooking set. They are my kiddos favorite toys. I've gotten key chains and jewelry for gifts. We have coasters for our home too. The workers are pretty friendly and they also wrapped my gift item too. The items seem pricey, but they are locally made and are unique. I don't think you'll find any ship with the same kind of item that Sugarcane carries.
