Hired Ace to remove 2 underground oil tanks. They came to do the work as scheduled. One tank…read moreremoved without issues. During the second tank removal they hit a power line and electrical service was cut off to the home. Delmarva come and worked for hours and restored service. That oil tank was found to have a small ground leak. Therefore ACE informed us that they were unable to complete the project at that moment. They needed to do testing on the soil and water and report it to a state agency before proceeding. The large hole (? 4 feet deep) that they had excavated in the yard was left open and not protected nor any barrier placed. After not having heard from them for SEVERAL WEEKS we tried to reach out to them and were told that they had forgotten to take the water sample while they were at the home and they needed to do that. Several weeks again passed and we attempted to reach them several times. We never got a return phone call. The following week we tried yet again and did reach Shannon who was the coordinator for the project. She said she had been on vacation the week prior, ( not explanation about the lack of response she for the weeks prior to that). She was able to tell me that they had gotten the report back and there was no ground water contamination( thank heavens). However, they had NOT YET FILED that report with the state department that needed to clear them to finish the project. She did say that they would not be able to file that information that day ( not sure why it was not a priority at this point as she admitted it had been weeks since they had gotten that report back) but hopefully next week. When I pointed out is it already been several weeks and question why at you had not yet been filed, I was unable to get an answer. I explained to her that there was a large hole remaining in our yard, that had filled with over 1 foot of rain water, wildlife was now living in it, and that I was concerned that there would be an accident from a person or child falling into the hole. She expressed surprise that the hole had not yet been filled and told me that she would get somebody out there to fill it and would call me back later that day. It has NOW BERN A FULL WEEK AGAIN and I have yet to hear anything from her or anyone at Ace. The large, rain water filled , dangerous hole and dirt pile remain beside our driveway. We continue to beg for information. It has been an extremely frustrating and unsatisfying experience. Poor communication. Poor planning. No follow through. Dangerous conditions.

Though the contact Travis said he was reached "after hours" verified records indicate he was contacted after 9AM on a Monday morning in addition to several unreturned calls. fast, efficient, professional. removed asbestos tile from entire lower floor of an older house…read more (kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, utility room). price was on the lower end of the estimates we got, but we chose them because of their prompt replies and experience in asbestos removal. we emptied had emptied out the house and were really ready to get the ball rolling and they squeezed us in within a week, and their crew took two days to complete the job. they were the second company to book an in-person visit and get us a written estimate, plus they were very responsive to calls and emails. seemed an excellent value for an experienced crew. they sealed area off with plastic and negative air pressure, and used a wet method to remove the tile (thereby avoiding dust). after tile removal, they sealed the concrete subfloor with to trap the remaining mastic residue that was stuck on the concrete. the sealant was almost like a rubbery latex paint (we later installed a vapor barrier and vinyl plank to finish the floor). afterwards there was a strong smell of the sovent and the sealant they used and it took several days of airing out for this to mellow. it smelled like pine or turpentine. no damage, but there were quite a few staples left in the wall from when they installed the plastic barriers-- very inconsequential and easy to remove. we had planned for repainting the walls anyway. realistically one of the best experiences with a big job using a contractor like this!
