[[HIGHLIGHT]]I walked in the day before my wedding without an appointment and was seated for a mani/pedi right away even though they appeared quite busy which was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I never go to nail salons so I figured showing a photo would guarantee an accurate match since I don't really know the differences in nail polishes, etc. I showed them the rose gold nails with chrome powder photos from these yelp listings and while the shimmer was similar, the color ended up a little more tan/brown unfortunately. Many people at my wedding complimented my nails and I liked them in certain lighting but in other lighting, I did not. I was surprised how difficult it was for the technician to match work from their own shop. She did paint a fake nail to test it out and show me first and even asked another associate how they thought the photo was achieved. In the moment, it seemed close and as a stressed bride who doesn't get professional manis done often, I just figured the indoor lighting may have been a bit off and trusted her instincts on the matching. Color aside, I came in with a ripped nail and they did a great job fixing it so that I could still keep my natural long nails. I also got a pedicure and one of my big toe nails was cut a bit crooked (which I didn't realize until I left) and the callus removal was very disappointing, almost nonexistent. read more

Today was the worst and last time I'm patronizing this big tip (allegedly) salon. I've been going there for six plus months. Not one time have the owner looked at or offered to do my nails, which were my natural nails. She knew there condition, offered her recommendations and passed the task to an employe. Today, I received a simple manicure with water and clear polis. The worst experience ever. I felt I wasn't welcomed and my twenty five dollars was not worth the time and experience other custOmer's received!! Check your receipts and your bank accounts after leaving. I had a full set from Haley and the total for the set was $69. I left her a $10 tip which if you know basic math adds up to $79. The day after my appointment I checked my account, and they charged me $135. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I called, they said it was because the tip line is above the total line on the receipt and I filled them out backwards.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This does not even make sense I don't care what order the lines are on the receipt the numbers are still the same and they do not add up to $135. Time to update my previous review! I absolutely love my nails more each time I go! My previous mail tech, Tammy, returned to Vietnam, so I was concerned about switching since T was so good. Hallie was selected for me. Wow! She's fast, careful, perfectionistic and an ARTIST w your nail design! There isn't anything she can't draw w those fine brushes! Every month I get something highly unusual. Often, I chose a design off the net for her to copy. Nothing is too difficult for her. They have a NEW, deluxe pedicure called "Special A-Z." It's $65 and takes an hour. I watch a woman receive with many different cremes and wonderful massages. When she left, her legs and feet were glistening and smooth, very moisturized. I will treat myself to one of these occasionally! A-Z is friendly, skilled w very fair pricing. read more

I went in to get a new set since my original salon was completely booked. My nails were completely fine and healthy when I walked in. My right pointer finger had a slight bruise from a while ago but nothing too extreme. I had to wait 20 minutes after my appointment time to even get looked at. A guy who was not supposed to be my nail tech started working on it and was being gentle with prying the old acrylic off at first. Then, when he got to the finger with the bruise, he was not gentle at all. It hurt so bad, so I said "Ow, that hurts." He said "oh, sorry" and did the exact same thing again. The lady that was supposed to do my nails started to pry them off and I let her know that my pointer finger really hurt and to be gentle, and she very much was not gentle with it. After forcing something under to pry off the old stuff, I realized that the top layer of my actual nail had completely separated from the bottom and there was a large cut. So, instead of prying them off, she used acetone and it burned the wound. It was the worst pain I think I have ever felt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And I let her know that it really hurt, but she told me it was okay. After about the 3rd time of her putting acetone on the open wound, I told her that I don't want a new set anymore and to just remove the rest.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She tried to get me to stay for a new set, but I was in too much pain.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I will never come back here, because they do not listen if you are in pain, and even try to get you to stay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now, about a quarter of my real nail is stripped and raw. UPDATE: Just realized that my middle and ring finger nail on my left hand are both split down the side as well. My pointer finger has been throbbing all day. I went in with long beautiful nails that had previously had gel nail polish on them. The guy used a drummel tool to get the old nail polish off and while he was doing it he slipped and took a chunk of my nail out on two of my nails! In order for it to look right he had to cut my nails down as far as he could! I now have no nails and he did a gel polish again and it has been less than a week and the gel already broke off and chipped! What a waste of money!!! I will never go back. Often times at other places I've been to they'll talk about how ugly my toe is (I mean I usually know when they are because they come over one by one to look after discussing in Vietnamese thinking they aren't being obvious) but this didn't happen here! They simply fixed my "problem" without making me feel uncomfortable or embarrassed about it. They didn't try to upsell me or anything. They are so friendly. Went to their website and booked for same day pedicure. When I arrived, I was greeted kindly and waited only a few minutes. I picked out my nail polish and was sat in the pedi chair. A very friendly middle-aged dude was my person....he was super nice, didn't speak a lick of English, yet did a super awesome job. The young man who did my pedicure and dip powder nails did a good job. What was not good was the condition of the salon. His work station was in bad need of a cleaning, as well as the surrounding area of the salon. The environment is relaxing, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and when you're not sure what you want you aren't chastised for it!! I called about at 10 to make an appointment for 11 and they were able to fit me in which is a Christmas miracle!
