Since it was a relatively easy problem...for him....he took the time to fix and show me how. He did it for no cost due to nature of problem! Bravo for an excellent customer experience!

Then they send it off to a repair center in Arizona. Be prepared for a wait of up to three weeks from start to finish. Once your drive is gone, you will get a call telling you the fee to get your drive back. My quote was for another $1200 which was a shocker. Once the drive has been shipped off, you are sort of stuck. If you want a faster turnaround, you might also call TaylorMark or one of the other data recovery centers in Dallas. I talked to three different persons at the national center for Data Doctors and they explained that they replaced the heads on the drive. Once they did this, the drive booted right up. All of the data was there. There was no data recovery involved...$1400 total cost seemed pretty high. After posting a negative review on Yelp, an executive from Data Doctors called me and agreed to refund 1/2 of the fee AND he promised to ship my drive back overnight...this was on a Monday. My drive was returned on Friday...not overnight as promised. Next time I will use a recovery service in Dallas.

They are very nice in the store and helpful. I just feel disappointed. About two years ago, I got…read morethe basic screen protector in store. I've had the same basic phone case forever. The screen protector just cracked for the first time recently - pretty good, especially since I drop my phone often. I went in to have it replaced and Garrick convinced me to upgrade to the stronger one. He was kind enough to give us a small coupon since we were also buying one for the first time for my husband. Today is one week since buying the stronger screen protector. I dropped my phone once, at home, and it shattered. I brought my phone in and explained the extremely short amount of time, the upgrade to the stronger protector, and my disappointment. Unfortunately, Garrick explained I still had to pay the $12 fee for a new one. He also said it's probably my case's fault (however I've had this case forever and never had something shatter). While I know $12 is not the end of the world and still a great option, it felt disappointing after having had such a great experience with the first product lasting 2 years. It just makes me wonder if the upgrade actually is any different. I also feel like there should be a policy for that short period of a time. I was hoping to at least use the $5 coupon I got for taking the survey last time, but he said that's only eligible on new products (which I don't plan on buying, so that now feels like a waste of my time too). Bleh, little things in the end but still not a great experience.
