The old garage door broke off its hinge at 10:00 p.m. and after trying to fix it myself the next day to no avail, I called Ivan. Although his voicemail box was full, the phone number must have shown up on his Caller ID, because he called back 2 hours later at 6:00 p.m. and said that he would be there in 1.5 hours. He showed up early (along with an assistant) within 1 hour at 7:00 p.m. and had the hinge fixed within 30 minutes! CAN'T BEAT THEIR PRICE!! After one of their competitors made us wait half a day and then no-showed, I called AA Garage Doors because they were local. Ivan arrived within 2 hours as promised and gave me a quote that was nearly half the price that the other guys charge! He would have completed the job the next day but it was past 4pm on Friday. We agreed to have him come out on Monday morning. He was a little late but made up for it by completing the entire job within 3 hours! I have a Single car garage and a Double car garage. The Single garage had the circuit board go out. The door would open and close at random, any time of the day or night. Before that happened, it was noisy opening and closing, plus it had a sudden jerk when it was closing. When Greg left, it was smooth and silent. Everytime we open or close the garage door, I think about the fabulous job that Greg did. The Double was working well, but occasionally it would "think" there was something blocking the sensors when closing, then as designed, would open. The sensors were in proper alignment, misalignment usually the cause for that issue. Greg checked a couple of things, figured out the problem, and fixed it within five minutes. I wish more businesses would do this kind of excellent work. It's been a long time since I've had an experience with a business that left me smiling. It's been 3-weeks since Greg was at my house, and as I write this, I'm still smiling!!! read more

Excellent work, professional, and quick response. In college, I went to South Padre Island when I had spring break, but now that I'm a middle aged man I go to AA Garage Doors when I have springs break. I called Ivan on Saturday night to replace my garage door springs, he called back later in the evening, and fixed my garage door on Sunday morning for the price that we had agreed upon the night before. The price was about the same as everyone else's, as there wasn't more than a $20 difference among the three places with five star ratings that called me back. While he was fixing the door, he informed me that the old springs were not strong enough for the weight of the garage door, so he used a spring rated for a heavier load. He also noticed that one of my hinges had broken and replaced it. Ivan also did a few things that the repair person from another company (the last time I replaced the springs) did not do. Ivan informed me that I should spray lubricant on the springs ever year to decrease the friction (and thus prolong the life of the springs). He also lubricated the springs (twice), all the hinges, and the bearings inside the cable drums. On top of that, he seems like a nice guy. I'll use him again the next time my springs break, but hopefully not for another 10 years or more. read more

We discovered, on Saturday morning, that one of the counterbalance springs on our two-car, steel garage door had broken, making it impossible (at least for me, and I am pretty strong for an old guy) to open. Both cars trapped, and no answer but "leave a message" from anyone I called -- until I called AA Garage Door. Ivan answered, listened to my sad story, and told me he would be out in an hour.
