I was given a two hour window on a Saturday for a garage door tuneup. 15 minutes before the two hour window is up, I get an impersonal text, not even a phone call, to tell me the technician is running late. I have to call to find out late he's going to be and I'm informed it'll be at least an hour. I have a hard time believing 15 minutes before my 2-hour window was over they just found out he would be late, but wether or not they did, you can't even make a phone call to the customer? To me this says a lot.

My tech, Connor, was driving all around the area, but called me when he was leaving Napa to let me know an approximate arrival time, and he was nearly on time getting here. At first, he wasn't sure about the issue, and he was straightforward about that. He told me what he thought was wrong (a crack in a panel), but the crack was really hard to find. He also let me know that my system was probably past its prime, said some of the issues I was having went along those lines, and explained to me that getting a new door (which I was going to need anyway) would require me to get a new motor as well due to legal changes since the door was initially installed. He gave me four different estimates for door and motor combinations, left me with a good packet of literature on my options, and made sure that my email address was correct before he left so that he could send me the estimates. The next morning, I received a follow up text from someone in their office offering me an additional discount from what was previously sent to me. Unfortunately, that offer never came through in email, and I ultimately went with another company for the installation that came in quite a bit under their pricing. Honestly, I believe even if the email had come through, the additional discount still would not have brought the price down enough to change my mind, but I was very impressed with the service I received. I would recommend checking in with Right Way for garage door needs as an option, and if their service for you was as good as it was for me, I'd hope you'd feel good hiring them.

We opted for a service package deal to replace the entire garage opener to 1 horsepower & new springs, so they provided free rollers which has made the garage so much smoother & quieter. Even during installation, they encountered a broken roller hinge & installed a new one ($20 value). To avoid paying extra by credit card, he stuck around to wait as a family member went to withdraw cash and save us $30-$40. All the while, walking through how to connect our phone to the garage opener app for controls & camera.
