I ordered a garage door with a certain style of window 'inserts' that match my other windows in my home. He showed up promptly on the day of the install and the installation went good, except that he had to install a basic plain window because the window style I ordered had not yet arrived. He told me as soon as it came in he'd come and swap them out. About three weeks after the install I called to get a status. He said it would be taken care of soon. A few weeks later I called again and left a message, that I was somewhat upset it had not been done and I have not heard from him. I did not get a call-back. It has now been over 2 months since the installation and I am quite certain he has no intention of delivering the product I ordered which is unfortunate since he seems like a nice guy and did a good job installing the door. I actually gave him two stars because he did a good job, he was prompt and seemed like a good guy. I just don't understand why he never delivered my windows.

I purchased a 12X24 All Steel 180MPH Miami-Dade, NOA-rated shed here. I had been trying to buy a shed for about five years, but all the sellers I talked to in Dade and Broward County had different requirements that I was uncomfortable with. I wanted it done with a permit. The requirements I encountered with all the others dealers I'll list below. 1) UNREASONABLE DEMANDS. Some wanted a large percentage of the whole project before giving me the NOA (Notice Of Approval) papers that detail that the shed met or exceeded Miami-Dade County building codes. This was unrefundable in most cases. Those dealers said the document could be used to build a shed myself and pass inspection. What an insult! The sheds in Miami-Dade have a certificate with a serial number inside, you will receive a document to post inside. I framed it and placed it inside next to the door. Miami-Dade has a program to help homeowners to pull permits. 2) Higher cost, less value. I wanted a 10X20, before choosing the 12X24'. The 10X20' at Shed Depot was much less so I went as large as I could for my backyard. 3) None of the others were knowledgeable or wanted to assist me with my permit needs. The other sellers are all about making the sale and installing the shed. Shed Depot helped me every step of the way. I first got a surveyor. Then I took the survey to SHED DEPOT. I followed their instructions and made large copies I went to the permit office to start the process by showing the NOA, giving a copy of the survey, get the setback requirements the county requires, and starting the initial permit. The county permit officer instructed me where the shed should be because of my pool. I took all this to SHED DEPOT and he placed the setbacks the county required. Then I got my initial permit started and paid. The county approved it, and I paid the balance. Then I purchased the shed. A few weeks later, it arrived and it was hoisted over my house and affixed with the proper in-ground footings to pass inspection. Once they completed the installation, I requested the physical inspection, and the county inspector came and passed the project. This process took time, but I was on it daily. The SHED DEPOT guy was there to guide me every step of the way. Oh, but it gets better. I then needed to connect electric, air conditioning, insulation, and a vapor barrier before installing drywall. The guy at the shed depot showed different ways it could be done, but he also told me to contact the manufacturer for recommendations on the vapor barrier. I purchased a 19-inch wide 12,000 BTU Energy-Saver window air conditioner from Silvane online. The Frederick 12,000 BTU costs nothing to run 24/7. I purchased from Amazon a "LuckIn" BRAND, No Drill Window AC Support Bracket, That holds up to 220lbs, for up to 24,000 BTU AC Units. I did the floor with Water Glass and a white stain. If I did it again, I would have used closed-cell ECO-FRIENDLY foam. I would not recommend it for the interior ceilings of wood sheds. For interior ceilings of a wood shed, Rock Wool is best.

We've been searching for a new shed, to replace our old wooden one, for more than a year. The wood one had termites, so we definitely didn't want to go with wood again. I wanted something really strong, to withstand hurricanes. Unfortunately the city I live in doesn't allow shipping containers, so an aluminum shed was the only alternative. I searched the internet for months and asked for advice on social media. Several places and people confirmed that the sheds at Shed Depot were strong enough to withstand a hurricane, and that their prices were the best. We had wanted to spend around $2000 for a shed. Many companies sold the "kit" for that amount, and then we'd have to spend more money hiring someone to put it together. Shed Depot had the size we wanted (10'x10') for $2500, including delivery and it was already assembled. They also secured it with bolts, according to hurricane codes, to the cement slab we have. The shed stands up to 180 mph winds. The delivery was a bit complicated. We had agreed on 3pm when we were in the office, signing the papers and paying for the shed. I scheduled my day around that. However, as I was driving to North Miami, around noon on the day of the delivery, I got a call that they were at my house. I informed them that I was not home, and wouldn't be home until 3pm. This meant that they had to return to Homestead, get my shed off of the truck, and load another shed onto the back of the truck, and then go deliver that shed, go back to Homestead to put my shed back on the truck, and then come back up to my house again. This also meant that my window of 3-5pm turned into my shed arriving at 6pm. I had rushed back from No Mi to be at my house by 3, because if I weren't there I would have been charged $150. As I said, I still give them 5 stars because the guys delivering the shed were so nice and helpful. My gate opening is exactly 12', which is required in order for the shed to be delivered. However, I didn't take into account a small 4" bracket which the gate slides into. This gave the truck less than a foot on either side to get through. The guys gave it a try, and did an amazing job backing the truck into my yard during rush hour traffic! They are very hard workers and I wish I'd thought to have cash on hand to give them a tip. I'm very happy with my shed and recommend them to anyone.

My garage door failed to open on 6/29/2020. Previously, I had experienced a problem (2 years ago)…read morewith the garage door not opening or closing properly. I relieved some "tension" on the door/springs and that appeared to help, but the door was almost too heavy to move after pulling the emergency cord to disengage the opener. I wanted to ensure that the door could move without the opener. So, I was on borrowed time with this device! When I investigated, 2 steel cables were both loose on either side of the springs. I thought the springs failed along with the steel cables. I disengaged the opener and confirmed it was ok. Now, for the repair, I did not have a clue who to hire! Well, after Google searches and some phone calls I found a repair facility that not only fixed my problem, but found and fixed other problems!!! I called Garage Doors Plus, LLC 270-745-0091 and spoke to David the owner on 6/30/2020. He suspected I lost 1 spring earlier, and the other went out on 6/29/20. He wanted to come out and inspect and measure. David arrived, analyzed problem, found other problems, provided an estimate, and mentioned that the door would probably be fixed that same day. David at Garage Doors Plus, LLC found my sensors were installed incorrectly and that could have been dangerous for small children, animals, or anything else lower than these 2ft high sensors. It's a code violation the way (###########) had installed my garage door when the house was built in 2008. David also stated, not only would his company fix my problem, and the sensor installation, but they would inspect the opener and gears to see if wear had occurred, and perform other measures to adjust everything back to specs. Later on 6/30/2020, Chris, the repair tech arrived and in less than an hour had the door working better than it originally did when we bought the house. Honest, hard working, thorough, trustworthy, are some of the adjectives which apply to Garage Doors Plus, LLC.
