After starting a claim with my insurance, it was a breeze scheduling with Rock Chip and I was able to get in right away. The windshield replacement and recalibration was done in under 3 hours. A plastic part cracked and needed to be replaced, and Hien had the part ordered before I got to the shop to pick my car up. Luckily, I was in a training across the street at FJC. Hien found my car in the parking lot and replaced the part easy peasy. Communication was great. Can't speak too much to the cost as I went through insurance. With a broken window, stolen luggage and no change of clothes, I was forced to cancel my hotel reservation and drive several hours back home to avoid further issues. We didnt know we'd be looking at 3 higher grade options for tint. Who wouldnt want the top brand for heat resistant tint? Wish that was mentioned alongside the deal. We decided to go with the 2nd best tint offered, went through two inspections on the car, paid, & went home. A couple hours went by, we realized the phone number on the invoice was incorrect. Gave them a call to fix it and Sam tells us that the detailers want to charge for tint removal or else they cant work on my car. (There was only 3inches of old tint at the bottom of the back winshield). We expected some sort of compromise but nope, they wanted to charge 150 for the strip of old tint to be removed. (Other locations charged the same amount for all 7 windows with the old tint to remove) He then says otp that we Have to come to the shop to get it all sorted. We decided to get a REFUND because of the wasted trip, them continuously trying to get over on us, and not mentioning the extra charge for tint removal during the inspections. To top it all off, they canceled the refund... smh so thats being handled also. Save yourself and go somewhere else.
