I'd compare it to electrolysis without numbing cream, so if you have a low pain tolerance, you may want to at least mentally prepare yourself beforehand. It would be nice if the staff could give a heads up before starting, though I'm sure had I spoken up during the facial they likely could have adjusted their approach. I did notice one breakout after my facial, but it cleared up within a couple of days, so nothing to be too concerned about. Everything else about the experience was great!
