I've been happy with my overall experience at this spa (have gone more than once), but I wanted to specifically review the hydration facial. The staff was thorough, which I appreciate, and I came away feeling good about most of it. That said, I have to echo what other reviewers have said about the extraction portion: it is painful. I'd compare it to electrolysis without numbing cream, so if you have a low pain tolerance, you may want to at least mentally prepare yourself beforehand. It would be nice if the staff could give a heads up before starting, though I'm sure had I spoken up during the facial they likely could have adjusted their approach. I did notice one breakout after my facial, but it cleared up within a couple of days, so nothing to be too concerned about. Everything else about the experience was great! read more

I came in as a first time facial. I was expecting more of the service. I got the Alice Super Bubble 7 in 1 facial. I felt for such a service it would have been more hydrating for my skin. I did not feel like I came out glowing. Although for a first time client I was given a discount I would have been very disappointed if I had to pay full cost. I doubt I would go back. My skin has been feeling dull so I found a Groupon deal for a hydrating facial at this spa. I will say my service was relaxing for the most part. My esthetician was able to upsell me a detox since I knew my blackheads were out of control. However, she barely did any of extractions... maybe 5? but it was really short-lived so idk if it's because I didn't need it? But I guess I can't complain because my face still looked pristine when she was done. What I found odd though is that my esthetician said I had two skin tags and that she's able to remove both for $30 each removal. I declined because I've never seen a skin tag on my body before. I went home and had my boyfriend look at my skin with me and we couldn't find any so I wasn't sure what that was about. I'm knocking two stars down because when I went to pay with my Groupon deal, they really tried to upsell me with more facials. I'm someone who's still working on how to say no, and I've said no to two of her offerings but she was still persistent. I currently can't justify paying $500+ right now for 5-10 facials. Since she was persistent, I did end up reluctantly buying a detox facial for my boyfriend to try since it's basically the hydrating facial + the detox portion that they charged me extra for. I got it for $30 less than what i paid for in total. I'm still exploring Asian-owned facial spas in the San Diego area so I'm not sure if this is my go-to yet. It's rare to find a facial spa that offers machine deep cleaning, hydrating, and massage together. The extraction was wonderful and cleared a lot of my blackheads and active acne. It was my first facial experience and it wasn't a pleasant one. It wasn't comfortable at all. The room was hot, i had to ask for the a/c to be turned on. The woman doing the facial must have been angry or something because she was destroying my face with those tools. Hurt like a mf. I didn't receive the neck/shoulder massage either which i started to look forward to after getting my face carved into for 15 minutes. I expressed that i was uncertain of which facial i needed, and they just quickly suggested the hydrating one without looking at my skin or asking what i hoped to gain. I've been here a few times now and I've enjoyed every session! I ended up getting a facial package during a sale (they always have some sort of deal), and try to go monthly. I get the 75 min hydrating facial and it's always very relaxing. Everything feels very clean and calm, staff are friendly, and it's easy to make appointments. They do try to sell you on additional services all the time which isn't ideal but I get it. There's an easy to use parking lot attached, bathroom is a shared locked bathroom. read more

I have never mixed feelings about my Hydrafacial here. My aesthetian Chu-Chu was nice. She started off well cleaned and exfoliated, but towards the end I heard another client come and my last half n hour was a complete waste. She applied a sheet mask for half n hour and left it. came back to remove and looked at the time and told me it was done. I did ask if there was no other mask (generally have ended with rubber mask in previous facials) - she said this is the end since i bought a regular facial. Surely felt unhappy about it and dont really see a lot of difference on my face too. I think if they really use a sheet mask for Hydrafacials they should explicitly mention it in details. read more

They speak mandarin and Korean here so accommodating if English is not your first language. My skin felt super moist and hydrated. I definitely recommend anything with collagen and the deep cleanse. Got a groupon for the hydration facial. They definitely try to sell you more things in the session like detox procedure or serum etc..... I stick with the original. They asked politely but very annoying. Half of the time you don't even know what they are trying to sell you anyway because of the heavy accent behind the mask. The strangest thing is they switch betwen two estheticians in one facial, if they want to build regular custome base, they should stop the upsell within the session and stick with providing good service. read more

I have been getting facials here monthly now and I have nothing but high reviews for this place! I get the hydrafacials. The process starts w cleansing, exfoliation, steam, extraction. Then the suctioning (usually around my nose), the high wave frequency wand to sterilize your face, and then the hydrafacial. Afterwards there is the icing w collagen and I forget what happens afterwards but usually I wake up w a mask on my face :). You also get some facial massages, back of the neck, and shoulders rubs in there too which they do an amazing job at. Afterwards your face is glowing and every single blackhead has been purified from your face! It's the best feeling! The women here are amazing and kind and do such great work. I got the hydration facial. It included a cleanse an amazing face massage, upper back and upper arm massage. Then steam to open up your pores, extraction which really hurt but a necessary part of the process. Hydra facial where it sucks the dirt out and puts in serums to your face. I got the Groupon deal and would say that it's not worth it. You pay for 60 minutes of service but actually only get half of that because they split your time with another customer. They come and put one layer of cream on your face and then leave for ten minutes to go to another customer and do the same, and the process repeats. So you don't get dedicated time for that entire time. You also don't get a facial massage the way you normally would with regular facials. You're pretty much just there to test their products. Tried LPG, Hydrating facial, microneedle treatment, Venus treatment, etc. Currently, LPG treatment is my favorite one. Fully relaxed and significant result. This place is a scam. They tried to charge me extra service for adding serum when it is already included in the service and also tried to sell me their products. Had a groupon purchased for hydra facial and services including as printed on groupon as follow: Hydrating Facial: Hydrating Facial combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and antioxidant protection that removes dead skin cells and impurities, while simultaneously delivering moisturizing serums into the skin that are specifically formulated to boost hydration levels and improve the skin's moisture retention. Benefits may include improved skin hydration, increased plumpness and smoothness, and a more youthful and radiant appearance. But as soon as I arrived, the front desk girl attempted to sell me her serums for extra and I specifically told her that I only want the hydra facial service in the groupon. When finished, she attempted to charge me extra $50 saying that they had serums put on my face which should be included anyways. The entire service was unprofessional and they have immoral business ethics. Lies is not definitely moral in doing business. Came here the first time about a month ago, wasn't sure what to expect. It was a very clean facility, the staff is super nice. They are gentle with your skin. I would suggest the staff to tell me what is the next step when I am lying there on the bed with my eyes closed because at some point, my eyes were not completely shut (they were closed, but not shut) I did NOT know they were going to put something OVER and ON my eyes, and it got into them and I got an eye infection :-( but believe it or jot, I'll come back because my skin was so beautiful for the next few days! read more
