I had multiple quotes from all the main Generator companies in Houston to install a whole home standby generator, including: Generator Supercenter, A&A Genpro, Generator Power Systems and Blaze Generators. Blaze was the least expensive and by far the best and most thorough quote I received. Outstanding value for money. Kevin was honest, completely transparent, and gave me the sense that he wanted what was best for my home and my family, rather than just making a quick sale. He got me installed within a week or two (other places wanted me to wait 2+ months), and the crew he sent was first class. One nice thing about Blaze is that they do not contract out their installation work. They have five full-time crews that have all worked for them for years. They left my house and yard looking better than when they arrived! Everything was put back perfectly, which is pretty amazing when you consider the amount of work involved in installing a generator like this. I'd contacted Remart to come out and find the real issue, and they were friendly/timely, etc. I wish I had used them to actually fix the generator, but since the other company had my warranty, I was forced to use them instead. (I'd finally reached the other company and had to relay the diagnostic Remart Electric gave me, and they didn't even come out to verify that was the case, they just updated their ticket, but that's another issue.) I plan to use Remart in the future for my maintenance of my generac.

Brandon Tillery was nothing but a fast talker throughout the sales process. Unfortunately, the confidence he displayed did not translate into making sure the job was actually done correctly. The installation was not properly completed or verified, and I was left with a brand-new generator that has experienced serious issues almost immediately after installation. For a $14,000 investment, I expected a properly installed, fully operational Generac generator--not a $14,000 paperweight sitting in my yard. What makes this even more frustrating is that I have repeatedly attempted to get the issues resolved, yet Generator Supercenter has failed to provide an adequate resolution. I should not have to fight this hard to get a brand-new system operating properly after spending this kind of money. A company should stand behind its installation and its customers. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. Until Generator Supercenter takes responsibility and actually resolves these problems, I cannot recommend them to anyone considering a whole-home generator. What's even more concerning is the lack of adherence to proper processes and procedures. Shortcuts were clearly taken, and as a result, I was left without a fully functioning product. Instead of ensuring everything was installed and operating correctly, they hold the usability of the generator hostage by refusing to "activate" it until full payment is made--regardless of whether the system is actually working as intended. I am filing a complaint against Douglas Mechanical regarding the installation of two Trane XV20i…read moreHVAC systems in my home in May 2025. The downstairs unit worked properly from day one, but the upstairs unit never functioned correctly. The company also failed to obtain the required permit for the installation, which can be verified through the City of Bellaire permitting website. Since installation, the upstairs unit failed to properly cool the home, could not maintain the thermostat set temperature, and leaked water into my attic. The owners, Justin Turner and Jared Hatfield, sent technicians to my home more than 30 times attempting repairs, but the issues were never resolved. By September 2025, after months of ongoing problems, I informed Jared Hatfield that I no longer trusted Douglas Mechanical and requested they remove the defective system and refund my money. Although their website advertises a one-year installation guarantee, they refused to honor it. Douglas Mechanical also sold me a 10-year labor warranty, but when I hired another HVAC company, I learned Douglas Mechanical had never properly paid for or secured that warranty. I hired Northwind AC to inspect the system. Their service manager stated it was one of the worst HVAC installs he had seen. They discovered the upstairs system did not have sufficient supply airflow due to improperly installed ductwork, which Douglas Mechanical had charged me extra to install. After spending additional money with Northwind AC to repair the ductwork and correct the installation issues, both systems now work properly. I have filed a complaint with TDLR and the better business bureau.
