Her communication was thorough and timely and really helped with the process since we were out of town for some weeks between the storm and start of the replacement. The crew replaced my roof on the hottest day of the year (I felt so sorry for those guys) and did a great job, including a really thorough clean up afterward. The insurance check came through quickly and I was able to pay them today. They did the inspection for free and never asked for any upfront funds throughout the process. Having some slight (and very old) experience with roofing, it was a well done and timely job from start to finish, despite Mother Nature's best efforts to slow it down with torrential rains for the last week! Houston Roofing and Construction was the only company that was concerned about maximizing my ventilation system. Ryan immediately noticed that my particular roofing system was not sufficient for my house.He pointed out that my house didn't have many ridges, to support the Ridge Vent Ventilation System. He suggested that I go with a turbine system that would maximum my ventilation system that would in return help extend the life of my roof. Ultimately I opted to file an insurance claim which is quite a lengthy process. Ryan offered to come out when the insurance inspector came out to evaluate my roof. He helped me throughout the process and made sure I understood all the roofing terminology. He was an invaluable resource through the entire process. Houston Roofing company is a great choice if you are looking for a superior level of knowledge and service. During the installation, they caused severe damage to my front yard, including destroying a rare and expensive Japanese maple tree. Their method of "protecting" plants was just throwing a tarp over them, which did nothing to shield them from falling shingles and tools. A three-story ladder fell on my shrubs, damaging several, and worse -- it also fell onto my brand-new AC unit, bending the top grill. Since then, the ventilator has been rotating only millimeters away from the edge on one side, at risk of scraping. On top of that, there were permit issues. It took multiple emails and calls from me -- both to the company and the permit office -- to get it straightened out. They tried to tell me that "approval of the drawings" was the same as having the permit approved, which was not true. The confusion dragged out the inspection process unnecessarily. They never offered to fix or compensate for any of the damage. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend them.

She sounded irritated with me and ended the call. Then I got an invoice for $250. Do not believe their website when they say they offer free quotes this is a lie. Please stay away from this shady company, get another opinion or consultation somewhere else. So sad how careful you have to be these days to not get scammed...

I asked for an estimate to install a Tesla Charger, Generator Inlet, and whole home surge protector, thats all. I told them I was competitively bidding the work and this is what they gave me. BTW, I was able to get three competitive quotes for this work that were all in the $1,900 - $2,300 range, so it really was just this company being way out of line with the rest of the market. Then he tried to use scare tactics to get me to do things like spend $10k to replace all my outlets and light switches since the house was built in 2005. He also wanted me to sign a document after receiving the estimate that had not-so-fine print that removed all liability for their work if I didn't do all the upgrades they suggested, including the $10k for replace all the outlets in my house. After I reminded the estimator three times that I was competitively bidding this work and that $23k for all these unnecessary items would not be winning him the job, he pushed for the $23k option again and began telling me about their low financing options. I asked him to leave at that point. I cant imagine how many elderly people or widows are taken advantage of by these types of scare and pressure tactics.
