AAA has and will always be a part of my life due to the MANY things it has and will continue to offer members. I love how I dont have to worry about getting a flat tire, lock my keys in the car, or need help with discounted movie and amusement park tickets... BUT above all those things AAA offers Insurance AND travel... Something that i should have taken advantage of way before. Of the travel part Ruina Noorzay is the one that helped me book an amazing trip to Vegas for my friends and me. I always end up feeling like i get ripped off when i go online and do my own research and i feel like i dont have or dont look at all the options that i may or may not have. But Ruina Noorzay took the time and checked every option available and was able to set me up with an AMAZING room and was even able to get me options for shows, and food and drinks based on my booking. My friends and I enjoyed every second of the trip and although i did not set up a trip to lets say London England this trip was equally important to me and she took the time and made sure each of my wants and needs were met. Ruina Noorzay is a HUGE HUGE asset to the office and I will 100% come back again for future Travel needs. Oh...by the way one last thing....The office has two managers.... Jenifer and Chris... I called this branch repeatedly with the "Travel" option on their automated system. No one answered at different hours for two days. Finally, I called and pressed the "Insurance" option. Amazing - someone answered because I might be buying an insurance policy! All I wanted to know was if they did International Drivers Licenses at this location, and the woman who answered could not have been more curt and rude. She actually spoke so fast, I had to ask her to repeat her answer. I wound up calling the Santa Monica branch where the customer service was delightful. I'm a longtime member of AAA, and a believer in its services but I have to say this branch seems to not really know what they're doing. I had an out-of-state title and was trying to get it registered in the state and after two visits on two consecutive days, they sent me to the DMV to handle it. Even if it was something that had to be handled directly through the DMV, they should have figured that out on my first visit. I have been a member of AAA and have utilized their insurance services for over twenty years. I have always been satisfied with their services. Recently, I purchased a home and insured it with the company. When it came time for renewal a year later, I was first hassled because we're doing a remodel and they wouldn't insure unless we got a letter from the contractor stating it would be completed in thirty days, which I secured and sent to them. Then, they claimed it was considered "mixed construction" (even though they CURRENTLY INSURED THE HOUSE) and now wouldn't be renewing. They gave me the runaround for a month, making me jump through a bunch of hoops, separating my daughter from our insurance policy to get a "better rate," and wasting a lot of time, only to decide that now, they won't renew the insurance. I'm so angry. This is not the insurance company I know and I will be moving all of my insurance away from this new, inferior company. What a shame. read more

AAA Vehicle Insurance is the WORST insurance agency I have ever dealt with! Their tow service is great. Their vehicle insurance is awful! Thank GOD I never had an accident with them. I have never dealt with such incompetent customer service representatives and paperwork management before, both in office and national phone lines. I have never had problems like this with an insurance agency before, ever! Ironically, I thought I was "working up" to AAA. My mother had AAA. My grandparents had AAA. I even PAID MORE for AAA! They screwed up my paperwork three times. I had to fill out changes that never occured and would have to do it again and again. Their customer service representatives can't answer the most basic questions, and give out misinformation. They don't care about your business, and are completely incompetent and inflexible. I think the "hey day" of AAA phased out with my mother's genration. They are bar none the worst vehicle agency I have ever had dealings with, and I didn't even have an accident! I will NEVER refer them, and if any of my family and friends think they are upholding their prior reputation, I will warn them! There are better and cheaper agencies out there. At the very moment that we got confirmation we noticed the rooms were wrong, we are a couple and have no need for a 2 bed with lagoon view.... we called them right away to dispute and they said they would call the hotel to see if there was the ocean view available, they said they called HRH and there was no rooms and that they would get back to us in 7 days to secure the room we originally wanted a 1 bed ocean view but that was 2 weeks ago and they never made contact.... i called HRH to confirm that there was no rooms and the guy i spoke with said there was rooms available, so i called the agency and they would not help us they said they couldn't do anything for us, even after we told them we would pay for the upgrade ( which we shouldn't have to since it was the same price) they said they could not change anything in the reservation . We have been trying to contact the get our reservation right and they are no help we will never book through the again read more

This location never picks up the phone at all. Their direct number that you get from calling the corporate call center always rings a few times and then goes straight to hold. After holding for 20 seconds it automatically goes to voicemail. The workers are most likely to lazy to answer the calls when they can just hit that button to instantly transfer to put you on hold. read more

I got screwed by these people more than once, have formally filed a complaint. First started when they improperly filed (or didn't file at all) auto and renter insurance, my auto insurance was cut without notifying me, only way I found out was from a check in the mail with no description what it was from so I had to find out to my surprise that due to an error at this office I was driving uninsured for over a month. Then I go to the office to fix the error and they give me new insurance (seems I lost my long time member discount too), they printed out a new policy with my car and motorcycle correctly on it. Few months later I go to pay online and I glance at the details of the policy, ITS WRONG, they listed the wrong motorcycle. I've been driving for months uninsured again!? WTF? Call the call center where they tell me that the new motorcycle information was incomplete and they start to fix the process. PROTECT YOURSELF, DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. Was also discriminated against in this office 5 years ago when I showed up with 4 DMV tasks and they only did one and would give no excuse why other than its too many and there are other people waiting. read more

I had the employee named Alex help me. He was very courteous and helpful to us as we were getting the tags for our car. He mentioned a free service to us and we know it will help us in the long run. He was willing to accommodate my three and eight year old children with some coloring books and other small gifts. We were so thankful and appreciative of him going out of his way to be sure my kids were taken care of while we were working with him. I have been a member for 23 years and I should have written a review for the same issue we encountered last December 2012, 2013 and July 2013. Today went in to use the DMV services for our registration. I checked in at reception and waited to be called. 10 minutes later this Filipino older woman sat a few chair from me. A man was walking around promoting Term Life Insurance - I think his name was Frank, also Filipino, he took our names and told the woman she had 6 people ahead of her and I had 3 people ahead of me. Not more than 5 minutes later, that woman was called over, not by her name by waved over by another Filipino woman working close by to us. I got up to complain, they said I had been called already and I told them no one called by name. I sat back down to wait. Earlier, there was another woman who had left and she asked the Filipino woman is she was called. She checked and the system showed she checked in 2 minutes prior. She said that she had checked in 15-20 minutes prior. A few minutes later she was called, not by her name but waved over by the woman sitting next to the Filipino woman who check for her. Both of these woman were renewing their registration, I got up to complain again at the reception desk. I asked for the manager, who was busy right next to the reception area. The receptionist said I had been CALLED AGAIN!!! I told him, I was not called and the other two women were not called by their name, they were waved over because they were close by. I spoke to manager, but he took me to someone that could help me but he did not seem to concerned about the issue. I waited for a few minutes while Ken finished with the person ahead of me, he was very helpful, very apologetic but they really need to get a new system or have someone managing because their current system has not been working for the past two year. I've gone to different office throughout the year, Pasadena mostly, they are the best. Busy office but they have it down, Burbank is also good, but always very busy. I guess I will be returning to Pasadena again. read more

I've had aaa for the last three years and fortunately for me, I haven't been in a situation were I've needed them until today. It's 114 degrees out here n my car gave out. I pulled to the side, and decided to call aaa. I was advised at the time, they only covered towing to a business not a resident. The rep on the phone attempted several times to persuade me to tow the car to one of their mechanics, I declined several times. At that time the rep mention we can tow your car but not covered under membership (defeats the purpose of having membership) at this time the rep also consistently mention me asking everyone in their mother if they new of a mechanic, anything to get rid of me sooner. I repeated several times no I don't and then continued ordering the tow truck and cost me 120.00. Upon the driver arriving he began to ask in a bothered tone, your sure your car won't start. Try it again; as if I'm lying and I choose to stand here in the scorching heat. Have u I'm paying him 120 on top of that. Unfortunately I won't be keeping my membership with aaa. I had had a negative experience at the Encino office but decided to give them another try. Mostly because it was a convenience. I was very surprised to find how quick, friendly and efficient everyone was. I was out in about twenty minutes. It would have been sooner but I stopped to speak with the new manager . I had told him about the fact that there people were not answering the phone when I had called before on different occassions. I learned that the office had a problem with the phones being routed to the wrong area and the employees never heard the calles coming in. They have since fixed the problem. I renewed my membership last week and Encino will continue to be my home office. read more

My car was hit by someone insured with them in October, it is now 7 week later, almost 2 MONTHS and they have not even contacted me, except to return my calls to tell me they are "working on it'. In the meantime no one has come to look at the damage, make a assessment. Any way you look at it, the word service does not apply. Maria Pimienta is a "Subrogation Specialist" so the title reads. After repeated attempts to reach her she has failed to return any of my calls. I reached out to another Specialist who claims to have given her my messages... still no return call. Instead of returning a call to discuss the claim she sends me an invoice. Another set of voice mail messages later and I receive a letter from a collection agency. No explanation, no attempt to return my calls. Terrible service... they need to re-think this department. read more

Never again am I going to this triple A Branch in Encino,CA a complete disaster. Ruina Noorzay was our travel agent that messed everything up and Jenifer Jenwick who is the branch manager is just as terrible, rude and idiotic. If she is a branch manager I have no other choice to assume triple A hires inexperienced, rude and plain idiotic people. My now wife and I came in to this location to have Triple A book our destination wedding (flights and hotel) and it was the worst idea we made. Ruina got all our guests names wrong which I don't even know how that is possible when we sent her all of our passports. A few of our gests that were booking with Triple A too said Ruina charged them $300 more than what she quoted them because she was looking at the wrong itinerary. If you are a travel Agent you cannot make stupid expensive mistakes like that! That is pathetic and sad. If you can't get certain details correct then you need to change your profession especially if you are dealing with lots of money. She completely messed up my in-laws flights as well by having them leave a day earlier and didn't even tell us! The sad part is when I told Jenifer Fenwick about this she said it was our fault and we had to pay the $1700 difference for flights and hotel fee when it wasn't even our fault. What kind of branch manager says that when we showed her clear proof of us emailing Ruina saying we wanted everyone on the same flight and Jenifer denied to look at it. She is lucky she said that to me over the phone. Not sure if any of them are married or planned a wedding but when you are going through all this 2 weeks before your destination wedding it is highly stressful especially when you have other things to worry about and now you have to force Triple A to do their jobs and have to worry about money again. When I tried to go into the branch to talk to Jenifer she would always make an excuse as to why she couldn't meet me which made things worse because everyone knows the longer you wait to book something the more expensive it is. It got so bad that I had to force Jenifer Fenwick to give me the number to her district boss which took her almost 2 weeks to give it to me and by this time we had to pay the difference for the flights and hotel just so everyone was leaving and arriving together. More than half our guests left triple A and booked through Costco and they even got some extra perks going through Costco that Triple A did not offer and I highly regret not doing the same. Never again am I going through Triple A again. Complete idiots and morons. I warn everyone if you go to this branch do not go through Ruina Noorzay and Jenifer Fenwick. I would drive the extra distance to go to another branch than rather deal with these two fools. And if you deal with these two make sure you get everything in writing or email and plan to waste time and money because they will turn this around and blame you for everything. This is a review of the TRAVEL services only and only my experience within the past week. I used to love AAA travel. They helped me out of some bad jams, and we spent a lot of money with them for some big trips. Christine was our agent for years, but she retired. Unfortunately, besides this event, I have had other bad experiences since Chris retired. Most recently I needed a hotel in San Francisco so I called. First person asked me a lot of questions. "Are you an agent who can book a hotel?" No, so I was transferred to person #2 who gave me a similar inquisition. "Are you an agent who can book a hotel?" Person said yes. After more phone time, he said, I'll transfer you to an agent now. So he lied. Third person tried to sell me an air-hotel package at a cost of twice what I paid when I handled it by myself. He told me AAA does not charge fees for air reservations. That is not true. He tried to get me to come to the office. I refused. I was at my computer and looking at a specific hotel. In the past, AAA would see if they could improve on the rate or offer me a better, comparably priced hotel. This guy was completely uninterested. He said, "Why do you want to stay there. It's only 2 stars." (It's 4.2 out of 5 on TripAdvisor.) He would rather let me book it myself than help. So that is what I did. No idea that people want someone who will save them time, not waste their time. read more
