Went to cancel with MORE than 24 hours notice --- they penalized me for 1 stay. Around $170. AAA - Tries to appease me by me calling some 888 number which belongs to.....Priceline/Booking.com. They say they can call the property owner to see if they will refund. They say the property owner will not refund (Creekside Inn, Bishop, CA) Call Creekside Inn -- they say that the contract they have w/Booking.com & Priceline cannot be changed. Will any of these let me rebook the dates??? NO!!!! Everyone is pointing at the other -- and nothing is being done to help me. I've been w/AAA for what -- 30, 40 years! Maybe longer -- and I trusted the Auto Club to go to bat for me. If this is the kinda of crap they want to be associated with , then they are no longer the AAA I used to know. read more

I LOVE this office... the staff is informed, efficient and they have a heart. My brother and I went in on a Saturday; it was busier than normal (my perspective) and we were served in less than 15 minutes. Alex Eskandari was so helpful with a very sensitive situation and he made the entire transaction very easy. Hubby passed away in March of this year and left his car to my brother. Alex provided us with great service, he was very informative and compassion for our situation (but not overly gushy). Worked with Carlos for home owners insurance. Had an inspection, weeks went by and he never got back to me. Went into the office, he said he just saw my inspection report and would show it to his manager and get back to me the same day. Again, waited a few days to hear back from him. Never heard back so I called him again. As soon as I spoke to him, he told me AAA wouldn't insure my house. Doesn't he think he should call me and tell me that???? I called another insurance company and was insured in less than a week. Guess he couldn't take a minute to call me when their wasn't any money in it... Iniially the problem is getting through by phone! The local # routes to a central office when no one answers, which is typically the case. The central agent also tried, without luck, so patched me in to an Encino agent's voice mail. I left a message & return # but the reording says I might not hear back until the next business day. They are open for another 6 hours today!\ BUT after selecting "priority call" option I got a call back within 30 minutes, & Carl, the rep, was very helpful, answered my questions about maps & books available free & for purchase & what is in stock there, & even looked up & provided a toll free hotline to the Passport Office. read more

I came to this location right at 9 am to transfer some old personalized plates to my new car. The wait was only 5 mins to be called over to Jacqueline. What would have been a 10 min tire process turned into 1 hr 15 mins. Not her fault. Apparently since my plates haven't been on a car since 2010 they just can't make me new ones. DMV doesn't show my last registered car so it has to go to them for review. She stated it could take 2 to 8 weeks to even get an answer if I can still get these plates. I've had the same plates since 1983 and will be very bummed as they gave a lot of meaning to me. Still had to pay 43.00 for new ones to be made snd if they can't I bet it takes months to get my money back! People here were friendly and Jacqueline tried to be as helpful as she could but it's up to the DMV now... sigh. Nice new clean office and parking in the back of the building for free. Going right when they open is perfect. FYI if you have personalized plates and take them off your car on order for them to not be cancelled you must pay a 43.00 a year fee, no one ever told me this and I've had a couple personalized plates in my lifetime. read more

This office is clean, the staff is amazing, you get free maps if you are traveling, you don't have to deal with the long DMV lines. What more can we ask for? Sure it be nice if they paid the fee's for us but on the bright side you don't have to fill out any documents AAA staff does it for you, all you have to do is sign & pay. To register my car only took 40 minutes of my precious life & while I was there I picked up a tour book of Florida for a near future vacation. I am so lucky to have AAA. AAA has been a really convienant resource for me whenever I need something. They used to be located closer to the 405, but their new location has a better parking lot which I like. I have come here on numerous occasions from adding my step-dad to my car registration, paying for my registration renewal, and picking up tour guide books. The tour guide books are completely free and are like the old school version of yelp. It's cool to see various things to do, as well as have the cool maps inside. Premier members also get Frommers European guises for free!!! Normally those books are about $20 each, so the membership is definitely worth it. You can also buy tickets in branch and through the aaa website for theme parks like universal and knotts. I have never had an issue with the branch offices and would consider them in the future for my travel needs. read more

When we go in for regular routine stuff everyone is great and super friendly. However I recently purchased car insurance from them and let them know I was switching from Allstate due to the high prices. The insurance girl convinced me I was getting a great deal, saving $ and will get money back toward end of year (she kept repeating that part). She spoke so fast that if you asked her to slow down and repeat, she then spoke so slow and down to you as if there was something wrong with you. Not having to go to the dmv for something like this is a DREAM. There was no line at 9:15am so I definitely recommend going then to get whatever you need taken care of. My family and I have been with AAA for over 2 decades. Recently we made some changes and that's it all went downhill. We went to this location to make some changes to our plans and they screwed everything up. Our plans were all mixed up. Our addresses were wrong. They put people on the wrong policies and identified the wrong people as drivers of the wrong cars. WHAT A MESS! We made another trip to this branch to resolve the issue. Everything was explained and reviewed. The agent seemed to understand, but low and behold, they screwed it up again. I don't know if it's the agents working at the branch that are screwing up or the people behind the scenes, but it's ridiculous. It gets even better. After the first round of screw ups, I was told I was going to get money back because the wrong amount was quoted and charged. The check comes in the mail (to the wrong address), but the amount is less than what they told me. Funny part is, the letter that was included with the check had the correct amount on it, so it was just the check that was wrong. At this point in time, I haven't had time to go back and correct all the problems, but the reason I even gave them 1 star was because they have been good in the past. Please get your act together or you will lose a long time customer. read more

I'd had AAA insurance for as long as I'd been driving and it was fine, good towing friendly enough people. Unfortunately, it all fell apart when I bought my first new car. They told me it was going to be $400 a month to insure it and instead, they billed me $900 ($900 that I needed for my rent!) it took weeks to get it back, and needless to say I canceled my insurance and went with farmers. However, nobody warned me that I was still racking up an insurance bill for $300 (after they screwed me out of $900). I tried to get it backdated 3 times (the agents at the AAA office said it would be fine) but the bills kept coming with no way to get ahold of collections. Until today, when they sent me a very threatening email demanding the money or else they'd send me to a debt collector. The people on the collections line were exceptionally thick-headed and smarmy and they didn't give a shit about what AAA did to lead up to this (even though this was the first chance I'd gotten to talk to them). What a shame, I really liked AAA I'm really sorry to see it end like this, but you don't get very far screwing people over. read more

This branch offers validated underground parking too. the branch has almost no people in it when I'm there.....need to keep this location to ourselves.
