This was a…read morelast-minute getaway with some very unique circumstances, and Amy handled everything with such care, thoughtfulness, and expertise. She not only made it all come together seamlessly, but also saved us a few thousand dollars by choosing the perfect hotel and ideal travel dates. From the very beginning, we felt completely taken care of--and that feeling stayed with us the entire trip. What could have been stressful turned into something incredibly special. The experiences she planned were beyond anything we could have imagined. We spent our days laughing, bonding, and trying new things--ziplining through the jungle, ATVing through forests and shallow rivers, and even swimming half a mile through a breathtaking cenote. We saw dolphins and sea turtles, visited a beautiful Mayan village, and enjoyed some of the most authentic and delicious Mexican food we've ever had. There were also so many magical, unexpected moments--like spending time with monkeys and deer, and even spotting a massive wild stingray. Every day felt like something out of a dream. What meant the most to us, though, was how safe we felt the entire time. As someone who is usually a very nervous traveler, I can honestly say I felt completely at ease. Amy created an experience that was adventurous and exciting, yet always grounded in a deep sense of safety and trust. This truly was a trip of a lifetime, and we are so grateful to Amy for making it possible. Her attention to detail, her ability to understand exactly what we needed, and her genuine care for her clients set her apart in every way. We will be talking about this trip for years to come--and we cannot wait to work with her again.

Amy planned an amazing family trip to Europe a few years ago, so of course we had to go back and…read moreask her to help us again! We went to Venice, Florence, Bologna, Milan, and Mykonos. As always, Amy was courteous, professional, quick to respond, and catered the trip around its purpose, which was to celebrate a graduation. She answered all of our questions and concerns. We wanted a more relaxed trip than last time, so we opted to choose our own activities, but asked Amy to help us book them. This time we needed quite a few train tickets to navigate through Italy, and Amy chose great ones. I was stressed about our luggage and how we would watch/store it, etc, but we were able to put all our luggage above our seats and didn't have to worry about anything. Once again, Amy arranged private transfers to/from the airports/hotels for us. All of the hotels were in amazing locations within easy walking distance to great sights and great food. One of the hotels was a bit outdated, butwas built in the 1700s and is probably extremely difficult and expensive to modernize. The location was just down the street from the Duomo though. Honestly, could not get better than that. Overall, trip was so much fun and relaxing. Venice was a sleeper hit. We all wished we had more time there. Taking the vaporetto in was an experience! Very cool and convenient to take it straight to the hotel as well. It was really great to spend more time in Florence and get to wander and see the city. Some of us went to the top of the dome of the Duomo, view was amazing. The climb was intense though! Bologna food tour was incredible!!! Definitely want to go back and eat literally everything. Milan was a good pit stop and we wished we had gotten tickets to see inside the Duomo.  Mykonos was beautiful and the transfer company was great. Super nice and we used them for taxi service as well. Hotel had a free shuttle to and from Mykonos town until 9pm. The catamaran tour was beautiful, amazingly relaxing, and one of the highlights of Greece. It wasn't super windy that day, so it was basically perfect! Only bump was that 2 days before we left we were trying to check in for the flight home and it said there was an issue and talk to the travel agent. I reached out to Amy and we found out that one of the airlines we were using to get home had cancelled the flight without notifying her or us of the change. Definitely not what we wanted to hear right before we needed to fly back. But Amy was fantastic. She told us don't worry, this was why we had an agent, it was her job to worry about everything and that we just needed to enjoy our last day. Amy got back to me pretty quickly (all things considered) and had booked new flights for the 8 of us. And even though we weren't sitting 8 together, she was able to get us seats of 4 and 4 close to each other. It was still a little stressful waiting to see if we were stranded or not, but nothing in comparison to if we'd had to do all of that ourselves. Thank goodness for Amy and travel insurance!!! She basically said that if they didn't have their passports and were not ready to purchase right then and there they should leave and not waste her time. I was going to get an estimate but left after that. Hello lady how do you expect to sell if you don't want to give necessary information to make a decision? Candace is the *best!*…read more I am not a typical traveler, and I was not looking for someone to help me plan a vacation. After hours of researching fares online, using the various discount sites (Travelocity, Priceline, Expedia, and the other guys) I went to AMEX and even AAA, as I am members of both. Yeah, they were fine, but I was wasting hours of my time NOT getting answers to how to make my trip smooth and effortless. I decided to try a travel agent for once in my life. I love flying: I hate the hassles of the airport. It just gets worse every year. I wanted to see if a pro could "just do everything for me and get me on the plane without the lines and hassle." I needed to book a flight to Costa Rica. I knew where I was going to stay, and when I wanted to go (etc.). The problem was that I had options of which airports, which airlines, and times (not just the $ amount). Look, if you aren't 17 anymore, you might want to think about your travel experience. How fun is it--or how much of a drag is it to get to the airport, stand in line, stand in another line, get frisked by TSA, and forget customs! Ugh! * * * All of this magically went away! * * * I called Candace. I said "I know where I want to go (blah blah blah) and she actually listened to me tell her what I wanted to do. She surprised me by finding me a BETTER airline than I had found in several hours. She guided me though the TSA pre-check, CLEAR, and Global Entry processes. She even sent me highly detailed information (with pictures!) of what I can take on the plane and how to avoid hassles with bring a laptop, iPad, and extra battery packs. She changed my trip from a hassle of questions to a dead-simple "show up, go here . . . they will escort you to the front of the line, where you will be put in the front of the next line, and all you have to do is get on the plane and enjoy your trip." She even helped me figure out how and when to order a tasty meal (for free) on the plane before I went to the airport. Just in case you don't know, one of your biggest hassles flying are the airports you have to layover in. They are not all the same, and most have special lounges you can hang out in to make your "airport experience" infinitely more fun (and less stressful). If you are planning a trip, you need to talk to Candace. Her fee was so cheap ($550 LESS than other TAs I had considered) that I am embarrassed to say here. But the treatment I had was first class. On my first phone call we got everything cleared up and set in motion. And she kept track of my progress over the time as well. I am a fan for life. No more stressing myself out trying to save a buck flying. It is worth three times the price to have a REAL travel agent do the hard work for you, so you can just pop in to the airport and breeze through all of the lines while everyone else is surly and tired of waiting. I feel bad for anyone who travels like that. There is a better way, and that is why I am writing this review.

I called to inquire about a rather extensive European vacation my wife and I are planning for next…read moreyear and the response I received by whomever answered the phone (no name was given) was shocking. Never before have I been spoken to in such a condescending tone. Read on if interested: It started with an aggressive "los gatos travel" which sounded very rude and like I was bothering them. I then described the vacation we are planning, she paused, and then asked "well have you worked with us before?" I said no we have not. She then asked "okay, were you referred by someone?" I also said no we were not. She then said "how did you hear about us?" The tone on this question sounded like she was surprised we were able to reach them without having been referred. I said that I found them on yelp since they had great reviews. She then said "okay to be honest with you a client who we've never worked with and also does not know anyone who has worked with us I don't think we can take on a brand new client right now we have been in business x years and this would probably not be possible." This one was a little surprising since I was planning this a year in advance. She then said "I assume you have never worked with a travel agent before" to which I said that I have actually several times before. This is when I got upset. She said she would "send me an email for me to send dates and maybe go from there" and I responded that I was not interested in working with their business and expressed my displeasure with the interaction. Might sound dramatic but I think this was the worst interaction I have ever had with a local business. It's a shame because I was planning to give them a significant amount of business only to be turned away because of her ego. Hopefully all of you have a better experience.
