Bonnie at reception was kind and helpful. The wait to see a representative was really short. When my turn was up, Johnella walked me to her desk, handled my request with ease and was so nice. Had an awful experience with their auto insurance. I had an issue with an erroneous out of state DL suspension from 21 years ago that I discovered was on my driving record. At the time I spoke to an agent about switching over to AAA I made sure she knew about this and that I was in the process of trying to fix it and she ASSURED me, multiple times, that this wouldn't affect my ability to be insured with them as they were only interested in my records for the last 3 years. So I cancelled my old insurance and went with AAA. Well, a week and a half later I went online to get my proof of insurance only to find out that my policy had been canceled! Called AAA to find out what the problem was and turns out that this ding on my DL indeed was a problem, contrary to what the agent who sold me the policy had told me. By this time, however, the suspension on my DL had been cleared after working with the California DMV and their Mandatory Action/PDPS Unit so I let them know. Was told they would reinstate my policy right away. Problem solved, I thought, but....no. A couple days later I get a phone call asking me if I still have my old out of state license number which of course I didn't because I haven't had a license there since 2003. Was told that despite the fact that CA DMV and the Mandatory Action Unit had determined that the suspension was an error and CA removed it from my record, their underwriting dept wouldn't accept that and wanted to obtain my out of state driving record from 22 years ago to look further into this matter! They just would not let it go! Thing is, I had been in touch with the out of state DMV several times while trying to get this matter cleared and they didn't even have records on me anymore, told me my records were "probably purged". So I don't know if underwriting would have gotten too far there either. I finally decided to just go back to my old insurer and not even deal with AAA anymore. I'd gone through almost 2 weeks of hell trying to get the error off my record and now AAA was going to put me right back into that hell. Also it made me have serious questions about how it would be handled if I ever did need to file a claim with AAA. This whole incident obliterated my confidence/trust in them and I have a lot more peace of mind having gone back to my old insurance company. Costing me more, but worth it to not have to deal with AAA. read more

If you have AAA this is the easiest office you'll find in all of Los Angeles. It's a very new office so the word isn't out yet about it, which means hardly anyone goes there....yet. The building they are located in is at Wilshire and Mansfield, about a block east of Wilshire and La Brea. If you have needs that AAA can help you with...and they can help you with a lot of DMV, travel, Metro Express transponder, etc. this is the place to go. Take note: If you're going there to renew your license plates, you must pay in cash or by check. That probably holds true for all DMV related matters. I've been there twice and have had zero wait time. As a matter of fact, I was the only customer there. By the way, the people that work there are really nice. Still not enough? They validate parking in the building. Easy peasy. read more

Holy crap. This was a nightmare experience. If you ever try for AAA homeowners insurance (especially if your sales agent is Sabrina Alacio), just RUN AWAY. They provided me coverage after a first call. Great. I had to pre-pay for one year, whatever. But they didn't have the correct info on the house as it was remodeled in 2018. They asked for records of the electrical and plumbing and for the remodel plans, which I don't have a copy of. I guess I'm stupid here, but something they should have known is... you can look these records up at LADBS online. They are PUBLICLY AVAILABLE! So after sending them pictures of my entire house under remodel to attempt to prove it, they said it would go to underwriting. I sent whatever plans I DID still have as well. Well, those pictures and plans would have sufficed, but they said the plans were from 2012. No, it says the date right on them. ALSO - LOOK THEM UP ONLINE if you're in the insurance biz. How do they not know this?? So not only were they expensive. They were dumb as dirt and completely unresponsive to almost every call and email that I put in. What a freakin joke. I'm trying to buy their product and they never return calls or emails?? That's who you'll be dealing with in your time of need. So, like I said, RUN AWAY. read more

Came to renew my membership and vehicle registration on a Saturday. I understand they close at 1pm and probably risky to try to walk in at 12:58 but the door was locked. I stood there for 5 min with the front desk staff staring at me. Finally a woman who I assume was the manager came out and told me they were closed. I informed her I arrived right before 1pm at which she proceeded to lie and said she locked the door right at 1pm. I was standing there before 1pm and the door was already locked. I asked "can you please just let 1 more person in?" She said "No because I have to leave." Very disappointing customer service after 25yrs of membership. AAA office, the company. I have recieved the worst service and excuses coming from AAA. Long story short, third time I called AAA for the tow service which I never recieved. My last issue was I waited for over 4 hours and AAA never followed up if I was picked up. I called an independent company and within 20 I was picked up. The tow amount was $595.00 and they only want to refund me $500.00 for horrible service. My service says 100 miles not a dollar amount........................................... Unfortunately, AAA has made contracts with different drivers and some of them are terribly rude like the one in Auto Fox Hills. Their driver was very rude and he hung up on my phone call and never showed up after being waiting for him for one hour. He even lied and told the company he came to help me but I was not there. I had to call AAA again and wait for another one hour to get a driver to come and help me. I was just standing in the shopping center until 9 PM. BUYER BEWARE!!! I had Life insurance with AAA since 2011 and I am now going to CANCEL and this is why. I spoke to an agent a few years ago and we were gong thru my policy. I was told I had a "rider" for my children. Well the only thing wrong this is at 60 years old, I have no kids, never have. Been married for 20 years, no kids! So I made the mistake of trusting AAA. I was told I would get a refund and the rider would be taken off. Well I just found out I have been paying for the children rider since 2011 and they owe me over $1,000 for refund. This year I have used them twice for a dead battery and a flat tire. Both times I was told that due to COVID-19 my car would be towed but I would have to use Lyft to get myself to where my car would be dropped, mind you I understand the risk as I don't want to expose myself or family to COVID-19. I think it's safe to say we are all freaking out and panicking and don't want to be exposed. That being said it would have been very helpful for AAA to send their customers a notification via phone, email, text, the AAA app (SOS signs) about this change, as it is crucial for us as paying customers to know. Especially as a woman being stuck in the middle of nowhere and alone, that is a major risk on our part. Now this last time I called for a flat tire, the lady on customer service was so rude, I was distressed as it was a Sunday and no places were open and because I had two flat tires I would have to be towed, thankfully it was day time. She decided that I should call back when I calmed down and ready to provide information, as I was busy looking for open places to be towed to. Thankfully my sister who was with me was able to find a shop open a couple of blocks away and in order to not deal with AAA I decided to drive my car with two flat tires to the shop risking further damage to my car. Needless to say I will not renew my services with them, as I've had extraordinarily customer service with my insurance's roadside assistance, I thought AAA would be a cheaper alternative but it has just proven that "you get what you pay for." read more

Wow, I I don't even know where to begin. If this place could get zero stars they would. I used to go to the West Hollywood location for everything I needed and the staff was beyond amazing. I needed new license plates so I came to the Wilshire location and I was happy to see a lot of the people I knew working there. I walked up to the front desk just to be talked down to by some employee I had never met. She was extremely rude to the customer before me so I already knew I wasn't going to get helped properly. I asked for new plates in which she gave me a stare like she didnt know what I was talking about. After that she proceeded to tell me the only way to get new plates was to file a police report which I NEVER had to do before. keep in mind my plates were not stolen I had just misplaced them when I moved. So of course I wasn't able to get plates and now driving around on expired temporary plates. At that point is she going to pay for the tickets I get? guess I have to go to the DMV which defeats the purpose of AAA. the rest of the staff is amazing but to the lady working the front desk, learn how to be nice to people or don't work a job that requires you to have face to face communication daily. read more

I've had the AAA for approx 40+ yrs. One of their insured intentionally has vandalized my property & caused a lot of damage. The AAA claims person(s) have made me & mine miserable over the past year requesting proof which was provided for each & every item they requested, ie photos, documents, surveys etc. But they refuse to settle but rather take it to court for years ahead. They constantly send me advertisement to get their insurance-home/auto. After this treatment they're putting me thru I may even cancel the road service. HORRIBLE! read more

AAA Is the worst service provider. Please don't ever use them. Even the customer service reps are not helpful. I pay for for gold service and had to wait an hour for them not to be able to help me. If I could give no stars I would. My phone was also dying and as a young woman this was extra inconvienant for me while waiting. I will be cancelling my membership with them. received a call from insurance agent Alisa Benyair stating that i had to buy a new insurance policy due to changes done with AAA policy . i asked for proof of the changes she stated were made and instead of the proof i requested she sent me a quote for a new plan which i did not request . i actually took the liberty to look up the changes in aaa policy and federal law she claimed and came to find out that the information provided by insurance agent Benyair was false . this woman is going around selling people insurance plans under false pretenses. not sure if that's the way AAA conducts business but if it is , there is an obvious need for reform within the company. Called several times starting Mar 2020 to updated odometer reading as we were not driving as much as before due to COVID19. I was told that I will get refund. Now in End of July I called to check on refund check status and they said, they were not taking odometer readings. But that's not what I was told & several times I called they never mentioned that to me. They even gave me the refund amount. This is so wrong as we used to commute long distance and insurance is charged by the mileage. So we are not getting refund on Mar ~ Oct, 7 months worth. After I move to Los Angeles area I had to change my address. I knew better DMV take long time so I go here. Here the program is good. Maximum 20 minutes wait and they finish fast and give you papers. They do everything DMV do but not driver's license I think not very sure. Anyways over all good fast service. I had a horrible experience with Falcon towing and AAA. They towed my car to their shop to put a good charge on a brand new battery that I bought from Falcon not one month before. I sat down with guy that was rude to me and was acting like this was my fault and he even questioned that I bought the battery from them. (Total disrespect) After talking to me like I was nothing he comes back and tells me its not my battery but my starter. I told them to leave my car alone and would take it to another shop. By this time it was to late to take it to the Mercedes dealer so Falcon towed it home. AAA charges this to my 4 free yearly assist for the year and tells me the next one will cost me. That next morning I get it towed to a Mercedes shop and what do you know it wasn't the starter a $700 job but the ignition a $200 job. read more

I needed a battery change so I called AAA. The technician changed the battery and I thought all was fine, until I went for a smog check. The technician hadn't hooked up the battery to the computer. Now I have to pay 180 dollars to have the computer recharged. I called AAA and they haven't yet come up with a solution. I've been a AAA member for 25 years and have my auto insurance through them.
