~10am on a Tuesday is not a good time to visit this office. There were about a dozen members in line to check in. When I noticed most of chairs were taken by members waiting to be called, I got out of line and left to avoid the bottleneck. I also did not want to spend a beautiful morning in line with the sun glaring in my face from the front window, listening to grumbling members. Terrible. As I left the office, there were members still coming in. This is a small office compared to many that I have visited over the years. Perhaps it's time to open a new branch in between the only 2 branches in Coachella to accommodate the surplus of members in this area. We don't pay for membership to wait in line all morning. We can do that for free at the DMV. This seemingly never-ending queue is not fair to AAA employees either, having to deal with tired and grumpy members who did not anticipate a long line for assistance. Member 42 years. AAA - They don't stop. I'll never do bussines with this company - Auto Insurance Near Me - La Quinta, California

Misleading. Untrained staff. Extremely rude. Been with AAA 26 years. Waited 40 minutes to meet with an insurance "specialist" for new homeowners insurance. The woman gave me multiple quotes. For each quote, she gave me an estimate "with an auto policy" bundle and one "without"-- with a bundle always being a slightly better deal. We finally arrived at a non-auto bundle policy that fit my needs. After about 30 minutes of this process, she informed me that she was no longer a licensed agent and to complete the policy she had to pass me off to her associate, Joey -- with my NON-AUTO POLICY QUOTE IN HAND. She stood up and walked me over to another cubicle where I was met by unwelcoming guy who looked like we just ruined his day. She then said "Joey will take it from here" and disappeared into the AAA abyss. After giving Joey all of my information all over again, he smugly pecked at his keyboard for a few minutes and then said: "Sorry, we can't issue you a homeowners policy without auto insurance -- that's the rule here." I was shocked because I just spent a half hour comparing multi policy rates with an auto policy bundle and without. When I asked if I can could quickly go see of the original agent could come back and explain what's going on, he rudely replied... "What's the point in doing that?! She's not going to help you -- I don't understand why you need to talk to her." His tone was so off-putting, abrasive., and condescending. He didn't apologize and offered no explanation for why I had been misled. The art of customer service is totally lost these days but this experience was on a level I would never expect from what used to be a trusted and great organization. read more

I wasn't aware but it's great you can get your tags here at AAA, instead of waiting all day at the DMV and potentially getting them lost in the mail. A great location, the front desk employee was nice enough, we were told there'd be a small wait. There were some small water bottles and a refreshing red drink in a dispenser it was slightly sweet and tangy. The sitting area had enough space for you to walk through without bothering the other customers. They have books for sale that you can look through for travel inspiration. The agents are always friendly and happy. There's definitely a lot of perks for the AAA membership. Worth your dues, also talk to the agents about any questions. They helped us level out our insurance coverage for our own safety and for others. read more

Do not rely on AAA for battery replacement! AAA authorized driver arrives and tries to explain AAA will not allow the replacement of a battery in his truck due to AAA not authorizing the actual battery. The worse experience ever!!! Been a member of roadside assistance for over 20 yrs, eventually decided to switch my insurance to AAA... i feel like the sales person keeps info from you. The ppl they have working for them when you have a claim are incompetent, not professional, there was so many issues. Till this day i roll my eye when i see the work that was done at my home. I now have to pay someone else to fix what they supposedly fixed. I can't say enough about Zachary Mix and the efficient and effective service he provided in helping me complete transfer of title and registration for a motorcycle my son (an AZ resident) purchased in SoCal. There were complications that arose when I initiated this process at another AAA office two weeks earlier, which had to be suspended after working for over an hour because of their unfamiliarity on how to have a non-CA resident transfer a title in CA. Zach quickly resolved the issue and the title and registration work was completed in 15 minutes. Zach was pleasant, courteous and extremely effective. BEWARE AAA members‼ We incurred a flat tire returning from LA on the 91 East freeway. We are 12 year gold club plus members of AAA and called them for assistance. They dispatched a tow truck from Angelo's towing and recovery in Riverside. When the tow truck driver arrived he informed us that they do not do roadside tire repair and that he would have to tow our vechile back to La Quinta, a 91 mile trip/thousand dollar trip! As the driver lifted our car on the flatbed we heard a crunch and realized the lift was set too steep which caused damage to the front of our vehicle. When we arrived home we showed the driver the damage that had resulted!We then contacted AAA and were told by a woman, who was very rude and abrupt, that AAA is not responsible for any damage caused by their contractors! She further stated that we would have to be reimbursed directly from the towing company. AAA told me that I would have to call directly to Angelo's towing and recovery in Riverside and AAA would accept no responsibility for my reimbursement. After a week of placing numerous calls to Angelo's towing and recovery with no response, I again talked to the woman from AAA who again was very short and abrupt! She informed me my only recourse for the damage caused by their AAA towing contractor was to sue Angelo's towing in small claims court or file a claim with our personal car insurance! So beware...when you use AAA they take no responsibility for damage caused by their contractors... you are the individual responsible for any damage incurred! UBELIEVEABLE‼ read more

What has happened to AAA? I have been a member for 33 years and when I needed a tow last week, it was a nightmare. The first tow company never came, the 2nd tow company called 1 1/2 hours after they were supposed to be here and told me they would not go up the dirt road and I would have to bring the car to them. When I told them it wasn't able to be driven, I was told to find someone else. My third attempt with AAA had similar results where the tow truck company never showed up, never called never updated. I eventually had to hire a tow company out of my pocket who showed up after the initial call in 18 minutes. While some of the agents were good, others were rude and interestingly enough changing the "guidelines" of both asking for a tow and the deadlines the tow company has to meet. Now I have to waste more time filling out the forms they sent me to see if they will reimburse the tow charges. What's the point of having them if they don't follow through on the services they are supposed to offer? read more

Do not buy Life insurance with AAA. They do not pay the plans. We have been paying for almost 20 years for a life insurance plan on my father and it got too expensive, keep in mind it never was late or never a lapse in coverage, it got too expensive so we dropped the limit to 10K so my dad could afford to keep his life insurance and he died within a year of the new limit and they are refusing to payout because it was considered a new policy. AAA life insurance is a scam and a ripoff...I would give them a 0 stars if I could. If I had the resources, I would take them to court. Maybe I'll look into a class action and see if there are others out there with similar situations. read more

I've only used this branch twice, but both times were good and efficient. On a recent visit, they were heroes! Through a series of mishaps, we needed new registration stickers for a vehicle. We had tags on the wrong way and stickers on the wrong tag, which the bf learned when he was pulled over. The car is registered in the bf's name, but he was not able to take any time off work to visit the DMV on a weekday. I suggested we try AAA to fix the situation soon to avoid a ticket. We walked in on Saturday morning, explained our convoluted situation (we need a month sticker as well as a year sticker). Without even having to wait in line, the woman at the front desk checked the registration documents and handed us the sticker we needed. It took under 5 minutes. My car registration is due this week and I was unable to do it online. I love that AAA does registration, because not only is it always a better experience that AAA, DMV offices are still closed. I arrived today and was greeted by an intake person, who wanted to know what services I needed and wanted to make sure I have everything I need before entering the building. I left my car keys inside my car by accident so the first initial idea that popped into my mind is to call my guy friend, one mentioned that I should give Triple A a call. So I did, and since I'm not a member I would be paying $85, it was also a sunday so I just said it's fine. Then I called my guy friend, and my friend said that he'll come by so that Triple A wouldn't charge me. (He is a triple A member) so he did, we waited for an hour since triple A told me that they'll come by 12 Noon, 12:30 came and we callled them, they said that they cancelled the service because they couldn't contact us. We were taken aback because they did not contact me nor my friend, so I find that odd because they said that they are already on their way. read more
