If you request a battery replacement for your vehicle through AAA in Nevada, be aware of the following: 1a. Get an invoice. You will need this for their 3-year battery warranty. I was given one today without asking; however, 4 months ago for a different vehicle, they left without providing me an invoice. 1b. If you don't have an invoice, you will need a proof of service, and this process is a lot easier if you have AAA NCNU (NorCal, Nevada, Utah). I have AAA SoCal, and when I moved, I was told there's no need to go through the hassle of changing regions as my AAA membership applies nationally. However, AAA NCNU had no way to communicate with AAA SoCal, and I had to get information from both sides to eventually submit a request through AAA SoCal. 2. Inspect your vehicle after. After my battery replacement 4 months ago, My battery cover fell onto my engine air filter which I was only realized after I noticed my A/C smelling weird. The bolts were missing, meaning the service tech accidentally took them or did not secure them appropriately. Replacing these parts was an insignificant but avoidable cost if it weren't for a careless mistake from the service tech, and my mechanic told me I was lucky to have avoided more costly damages from this. 3. If AAA sends their own Club Fleet and not an independent contractor, there is no way to contact them for follow-up in case of issues like above, as AAA Club Fleet has no phone number per multiple AAA customer service agents. As for the process itself, setting up a service request was super fast and easy both times. You can make requests either by phone or via website/app. The wait time for a service tech to come out was about an hour 4 months ago, and only 15 minutes today. Neither requests were during rush hour. My battery replacement today was worthy of 5 stars, but my experience 4 months ago was very sloppy and resulted in a series of headaches. read more

I've been a Premier AAA Auto Club member for 22 years . I have requested 2 tows in that period of time. The 1st was for a Harley Davidson motorcycle ( I pay an additional premium for this ). It took 3 1/2 hours for a tow truck to show up . Plus the tow truck driver had no straps to hook my bike up and he said that he'd never hooked up a motorcycle before . Recently my car broke down on the 95 freeway on-ramp 2/3 at down the ramp . It took 3 hours for that tow truck to arrive. It was 6-9:0 p.m very scary to have traffic racing past me to get onto the freeway . I'm so disappointed in AAA response time for AAA members . I would not recommend a membership . Don't buy batteries from AAA. They have a screwy warranty policy. Here's the story: The battery on my daughter's car died this morning. AAA had installed the battery in August 2023 as replacement of a battery I had purchased from AAA (so the replacement battery only lasted 13 months) . The original battery was under warranty so the replacement in 2023 was no cost. The first representatives I talked to this morning told me the today's replacement battery would also be covered under warranty. When the service technician arrived, my daughter was told the battery was not covered under warranty since she couldn't confirm the date of the original purchase, and therefore the original warranty might have expired. Oddly, the AAA representatives couldn't access their records beyond three years to see if the warranty was still in effect. So, bottom-line, even if a battery replaced under warranty is a dud, the replacement battery will not be covered if the warranty is expired. So we're out $225.00 for a replacement battery for a failed AAA battery. Makes no sense. AAA needs to stick to road- side assistance. read more

I would write minus stars if I could. Unbelievable. My daughter was stuck in the middle of the street her car died. Nice guy in a truck helped her move the car to the side of the road. She called AAA they said 70 minutes. She called again and the operator told her sorry I wasn't going to tell you it's going to be another 2 hours. So meanwhile she has to get back to work. My car just quit...so I called triple a Chris came and did all things possible.. he put In a new battery to no avail. Very efficient and very polite...the temperature was 109 totally professional..great job he then assisted me with contacting triple A to have my battery replaced by where it was purchased..the tow truck driver was very good he arrived got my car on the truck and delivered it to the battery place... very cordial ..all of my experience with triple A was great from the beginning to the end .very professional and I am a proud customer of the Triple A for more than 10 years...highly recommend this company... read more

Truly there needs to be an option for negative 5 stars. Made the mistake of buying a AAA battery which they supposedly have a 36 mo warranty for free battery replacement. All lies and deceptive business practices. Car would not start on the morning. The 1technician comes out and jump starts the battery. He says we have a bad battery and if it dies again; it needs to be replaced. After an entire shift at work; the car won't start. Call again, they first say it will be 75 min. 2&1/2 hours later. The tech comes out and supposedly "tested the battery after a jump and determines that he is " not allowed to change the battery even with a warranty in place because his "test" shows that the battery is good. Apparently there is no supervisor to speak with. The tech couldn't care less and literally says you can call a supervisor in the morning and they'll tell you the same thing. If ask for it to be replaced it's a $220 charge. Unbelievable. Cancelling my membership tomorrow! Read all the fine print and don't believe anything AAA employees say. Don't waste your money and pay them to be treated like trash. read more

For some reason, my car parked inside my garage would not start.  I figured it was a battery issue.  I called AAA roadside assistance from my cellphone to request service. I was surprised when they said ETA was 45 minutes. It must have been a standard response because it only took them 15 minutes to arrive at my house.  I was able to see who the driver was that was coming out to assist me and where was the driver's location on my cellphone.  The AAA driver was very nice and polite.  I told her I probably needed a boost.  She went back to her van, got her tiny portable charger out and boosted my battery.  She also tested my car battery and it was still good.  She told me to leave the engine running for 60 minutes before shutting off the engine.  The whole thing took only 5 minutes.  I have been a member with AAA for a long time. They have bailed me out many times over the years.  I strongly recommend their roadside assistance service because you never know when you might need emergency service.  They are fast and efficient and I have never had a negative experience with their service. read more

If you are an AAA member who purchased a membership while living in Southern California, don't count on reliable roadside assistance in Clark County, Nevada. I recently needed roadside assistance in Las Vegas, called AAA and waited four and one-half hours without success. I made at least five calls to AAA for updates since I did not receive text updates. AAA gave me totally inaccurate information each time. Finally, after several hours, I was able to convince AAA to give me the phone number for the towing service that they said was "on the way" to help me. I called that number and spoke to the dispatcher who asked me what type of help that I required, which was unlocking my car, and she told me that her company would not be able to help, anyway, because of the brand of car. I finally gave up and called a private towing service which charged me $100 and completed the work in ten minutes. Complete failure on the part of AAA. Perhaps the entire AAA management staff in Las Vegas should be terminated. read more

I have been a member with AAA for 4 years and have only called them once before yesterday. I called because my battery was dead. The responder was very nice and explained my battery would not hold a charge and would need to be replaced. They unfortunately did not have the battery but would the next day (today). He jumped my car so I could get were I was going. This morning I had to get a jump again to get to work. I called AAA back and had them come out again explaining to the dispatcher and told her they HAD to bring a battery that the previous tech had diagnosed the problem. She assured me they would. I waited my entire lunch hours for the tech whim was sent to the wrong location at first only to find out he had not been told about the battery and did not have one. I called agin went through the whole story again was AGAIN promised the next tech would have a battery. I had to take off from work to meet him and AIGAIN when he got here no one had told him he need a battery. So here I sit stuck in a parking garage!!!!!!! read more
