On cloudier days, The therapists in the massage tent have blankets to warm their clients. There are other therapists that work there, but Emily's one of the best. Note that Emily's quite busy, but if she's not available and you're lucky, Catherine Rinaldo might be working with her. Catherine has her own style, and she's every bit as wonderful as Emily. Both charge me $45 for 40 minutes, although you can choose different times. I'm stuck at 40 minutes. I suggest you don't wait until the last minute, 'cuz these two are busy. There was a narrow strip of cloth, so I attempted to cover myself with it, but it was too narrow. I was still confused a little. I can't tell how long I waited because I didn't have my watch on and there was no clock in the room. The masseuse arrived and asked what I wanted today. Hot stone massage. She meant what part of my body I wanted her to concentrate on. Low back and feet. Ok. She'd do the massage first and then hot stones. Great. Medium pressure. Ok. The massage was a little too hard at first, but I spoke up and she adjusted the pressure. I could feel my back relaxing. Unfortunately, I'm ticklish on my feet and I wasn't able to handle the lighter pressure on them. But it was still a great massage. Suddenly, someone opened the door to room two and started speaking loudly to the masseuse. It was jarring since everything else was so quiet and I was mostly unclothed other than the narrow strip of cloth. No privacy with the door wide open! And speaking so loudly when I was trying to relax was ridiculous. We got to the hot stone part and the masseuse kept dropping the stones. Bang. The wall. Plop. The floor. Oops onto the table. She went above and beyond, working not only on my feet but also on my neck and back. I spend a lot of time hunched over a desk and don't get as much exercise as I should, and she immediately recognized where I was holding tension. She incorporated stretching and focused attention on those problem areas, and I left feeling absolutely amazing. If you pay cash, the one-hour foot massage is only $45--a fantastic value. At Christmas my husband was there for over 20 minutes trying to even purchase it and they didn't even know how to give him a gift certificate. After a few minutes of laying on the bed with this man coming back again still caling me a liar I decided to end massage. I went to the front desk to confront the man and he still kept being rude and saying they do not issue those gift certificates and I was lying. He also had two other employees call me and my husband a liar saying he did not buy this gift certificate here. Even though I had the receipt and the business card that came with my gift certificate. I have been here twice before and had a decent experience, but unfortunately I will never come back to this place again.
