AAA arrived when they said they would, the technician was friendly, well-spoken, and honest! He told me not to invest a lot of money in the current AC unit because of it's age (which 17 years). I also inquired about a dehumidistat, because my mother was interested, and he told me that they cost about $150, but that we don't really need it. I appreciated that very much! Buyer beware...I had AAA Modern air come out 1 day ago during the heat wave to look at my A/C that was not cooling. The tech walk to the unit and without taking it apart or diagnosing the problem immediately told me that it needed to be replaced. I asked if he could do anything to get it cooling since I have a family of 5 kids that were overheating since the temperature in the house was 94 degrees and he said nothing he could do and a new unit would be $4500. I seriously thought about it (although money is tight) and felt pressured to make an impulse buy. I paid for the estimate and thanked the tech for the estimate. I immediately called another company that who showed up 30 minutes later for another opinion. The new tech took it apart and diagnosed the problem and within 1 hour had the unit running agin. I waited a couple of days to write this review to ensure that the unit was fixed. It's still running perfectly. Although it pains me to give any business a bad review it's unfortunate that you have a dishonest employee working and representing the company. Modern air should audit their employees work and validate their integrity when dealing with customers. read more

I choose to call this company because of the high amount of reviews. Initially they seemed very organized and showed up on time for the estimate. That was on 7/20 today is 7/31 and I am yet to receive the estimate via email as they stated. That's not the worst part, I've called them on four occasions. Three times I've verified my email address and I'm told they would contact the technician and get the estimate out to me immediately. It obviously hasn't happened because I'm here writing this review. The final straw was whoever the lady was answering the phone on 7/25 Saturday was extremely rude. She first answers the phone and quickly says her intro and asks me to go on hold after waiting she comes back on asks me what I need, so I began to explain she then says please hold in the middle of me talking and leaves me with my words in my mouth. Needless to say I then hung up and gave up on this company. read more

I used them 15 years ago when I replaced my air conditioning system so I called them again to get an estimate. Since money is tight I called another company so I would have two estimates. The first estimator, from the other company, came outside the promised time frame, came in with no mask, didn't ask me what I was looking for in a system and seemed completed unprepared. Hans, the estimator from AAA, was amazing from the moment I opened my door. He had a mask on, kept social distancing, introduced himself and asked me a series of questions to better understand what I was looking for. I was so impressed with him, the price and Esther, the in-house associate that we scheduled the install for the very next day. The installers were just as incredible and in just a few hours were done. You could not even tell they were here as they left everything spotless. On 5/4/18 Michael installed a new blower motor. He was punctual, professional, friendly, informative and very helpful. He deserves a 5 star rating. In 2017, the technician sent was not so helpful. The A/C unit was full of black soot -- I'm assuming it was mold -- and he said nothing about it. He did not mention that this problem could be avoided or minimized by the installation of a UV light. I had another provider (Sears) install the uv lights. I would give this technician a 1 star rating. I sent an email to the company regarding the 2017 situation and no one responded to my email or call me to discuss it. As such, I give the company a 2-3 star rating. read more

Checked output at all vents, entire syst em review and then reviewed all actions teken with me. Entire family uses AAA due to years of excellent service. Great team of people to work with! i had the same problem that eric had. it was 60 to come out and give an estimate. the guy touched nothing just gave the estimate for $60. luckily my moms ac had a similar problem and she had hers fixed for $450, so i was able to realize that their quote at 900 was double what it should have been. thank god somone else posted there experience I thought they were just trying to con me. i even told the guy that the price was out of line and he made no attempt to adjust it. he just left. later i checked google and it looks like they are posting fake reviews over there. there are about seven five star reviews from the same date. this guy with the 5 star review above is a social media marketing consultant. This company was recommended to me and because of that I used them and purchased units from them. I thought at the time the work and the company was good however some recent events have changed my mind. One was jacking up of prices for items and the other involves integrity- I will not go into details but I would consider looking into other companies and researching and reading because they are NOT the only company out there! A little over 3 years ago, my then 10 year old AC sprung a leak and I contacted AAA Modern Air to have it looked at and eventually replaced. The technician and sales associate were very upfront and honest with me about the condition of my AC and gave me a few options. One was to fix the leak which would cost almost half of what it would to replace the unit and the other was to replace and upgrade the unit to run more efficiently. Taking into consideration the age of the unit and not knowing how well the previous owner took care of it, I went with the latter option of replacing and upgrading the AC system. Since then, we have kept up with our semiannual maintenance and haven't had any issues with the Bryant AC from AAA Modern Air. My only complaint is that they system I purchased requires a special size filter, so I am unable to purchase generic ones from a store. AAA Modern Air has always been helpful and friendly and I would recommend them to anyone needing a new system. read more

I've has problem with my Trane AC the last year and a half with over 7 visits by techs. Every time they say its a different problem and it never seems to get fixed. If you have a Trane AC, find another company to work on it. These guys do bandaid repairs to get out the door qucikly read more

In July, we had an issue with AAA Modern Air pertaining to a Maintenance Agreement, a blockage in the drain line and subsequent damage. Unfortunately, it took the posting of a very negative comment on this site before we heard back from the company. I am happy to say we were able to work through the situation with Michael ( Sal's son== it is a family owned business) who was the one that made contact with us. AAA did come out to the house after Michael and I talked, with Josh showing up as arranged on a Saturday morning. Within an hour, Josh had replaced the entire drain line--it was approximately 12 foot run--and the problem pertaining to the line was immediately rectified. Michael and I have talked several times during this situation, and I do believe AAA Modern Air has provided very satisfactory service on this issue. I do appreciate the way we were able to work through some difficult misunderstandings and I do look forward to doing business with AAA Modern Air again in the future. In this case, Michael told me he was going to do things to get the situation resolved and he came through. Thank you Michael, Josh for coming out and fixing the problem without any further delay AND Jed who was the initial tech who came out on the 4th of July. These two techs were very professional, polite and a pleasure to do business with. The only reason I did not give a "5 Star Rating" at this time is so that I will be able to give them a higher rating the next time we do business. read more

Couldn't be happier with services rendered. Hot air yesterday,..cold air today. Frank, the technician, was efficient, courteous and knowledgable about the problem. He got the needed part late Friday afternoon and was back at 8AM Sat morning to repair it. It cost just what he quoted and the time frame was exactly what he predicted. We requested a repair service at 3:00PM and Frank Mckenzie, the technician was at our house within 1 1/2. He found the problem right away, ordered the part and has the A/C working provisionally without the part. The charge was $65 which is fair and the part that is some kind of board that is burnt out and makes the A/C blow hot air instead of cold air cost $60. I have used them on my home and rental and so far my experience has been very good. read more

They used to be an awesome company but not anymore. The air conditioner they sold me and recommended broke regularly since purchase (Bryant Evolution). Then when they came out for maintenance the tech told me my entire outside unit would need to be replaced. I called and was told it was not covered under warranty. I told them to give me a price without the warranty. They never followed up and it broke. When it broke they told me it was covered under warranty but I would have to wait 10 days for the distributor to ship it. This was in the middle of Florida summer (Im late to put in the review). I actually had to contact the distributor myself and listen to the blame game between the two companies. Then when I finally got it so it would be delivered by Friday at 5pm, AAA told me they close at 4pm and nobody would be there to accept it. I even went so far as to ask for a new unit but they wanted me to commit before 5pm on Friday for a new unit since they dont have crews on Saturday "on a whim". I called other companies and all of them told me I could contact them at 5pm on Friday and they would do an install on Saturday. When AAA and Carrier/Bryant let me down. I purchased an entirely new unit from another company. I will never do business with AAA again and have told everyone I know about this disgrace. This company should have worked with me knowing the part would be there by Friday at 5pm. Not only that but to recommend me a product that is proprietary like the evolution was ridiculous no other thermostat could work with that unit and it was a lemon from the day it arrived. Shame on this company mostly for not being available to install a part they new was coming to a long time customer. I have had 4 units in my life time three were installed by them, but no more. Guess the company grew so much residential isnt important anymore. Also, they are a 24 hour answering service company NOT a 24 hour response company shady advertising. read more

Eddie came to do an annual service on our a/c units - he was on time - called to say he was on his way - got here and started right away. This is the 2nd visit on our annual agreement and we also renewed for another year. The service plan is well worth it and he reminded me of what's included. I do want to point out that I think Rheem really screwed the pooch when they made this poorly engineered high efficiency rooftop package. And Modern air just happened to be one of the unlucky contractors who installed them . Where to start, july 2014, We replaced our roof and were concerned about our 14 year old rooftop package. We decided to replace it too. AAA modern air was recommended by the Roofer. We did get other quotes and decided to go with AAA, they had lowest price. That is where i went wrong. The unit they sold us is a rheem RQRMA036JK000, This is a heat pump, and it is poorly designed, the condenser coil is very large to get the efficiency rating needed for rebates. So when it runs in reverse cycle it almost immediately goes off from high head pressure, and when it does this 2 or 3 times it locks out and you must turn off power to the unit to reset it. So then we had to have electric heat installed. The unit was noisy and they were out a few times and played with the rubber mounts on the compressor. Oh, i almost forgot, When they installed the rooftop package, something was missed and the condensate from the evap drain was leaking into our house. Luckily i saw the dark spots on the ceiling and poked a hole so it drained into a bucket . After confirming that it was indeed the A/C system , by turning off the unit and the dripping would stop after a few minutes., Then after almost a year later it quit running. Apparently there was defective oil in the compressor from the factory that plugged up the refrigerant circuit. The compressor was running against high pressure and locking out on the high pressure safety. This was apparently a known defect but nothing was initiated until the unit failed and we called. The problem was taken care of at no cost to us. They had to flush out the refrigerant ckt and changed the oil. Now ,today . i called about the indoor fan making more noise and the air flow from the vents was erratic. A tech came out and found the motor faulty, In the process of removing the panels, the sheet of insulation glued to the top panel covering the evap section was loose and hanging down into the blower suction. The technician said he would get a new motor and return. He was back in an hour and proceeded to replace the motor. after a few minutes i heard and felt a very loud thud on the roof. And a few minutes later the technician rang the doorbell and had the blower wheel with him, and said it needed to be replaced too. And he was not clear about why it needed to be replaced. It was ok earlier, before the loud thump on the roof. Sooo, we will see what happens now Hallelujah ! Rosemond fixed it ! Rheem paid for the parts and i got a discount on the labor. It's a Beautiful albeit rainy Day . read more
