The back of the truck before they started unloading at my new house

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Ignored for weeks after informing them of my dissatisfaction, then told by the customer service manager that "they don't want my business". No apology for what occurred. 2 hours into the move I was told "not everything will fit into the truck" which was ridiculous because I had just moved the year prior. same size truck and had less items this time. My son took a picture of the back of the truck and it was completely open, things would have fit if it had just been loaded differently. Took me and family members, 3 round trips of 90+ miles ea with 3 trucks/SUVs to move the remaining items. Exhausting, stressful, completely unacceptable. I wanted to be compensated fairly for the epic fail that this move was, nope, they just DON"T CARE!!

    Scandalous movers hiding damage

AAA Movers customer care team did not do a thorough job of investigating my claim. AAA movers added up damages to a resolution of $102. In reality AAA damaged more than 700lbs of property. At $.60 per lbs, that alone is $420. I've paid nearly $800 to have my property ruined within an hour. David in claims made ip items on my Statement of claim. David misrepresented the weight of my daughters dresser after being notified in writing that one whute the dresser weights more than 120lbs. The most expensive piece AAA ruines wasmy Brown Room and Boards dresser that weights more than 500lbs, was conveniently left off the Statement of Claim in it's entirety. But, yet David added a second glass table at $27 into my settlement, that was NEVER included into any the claim via pictures or email, in an attempt to minimum liabilty while committing fraud as if I didn't claim 1) Brown Dresser 2) Lights 3) White dresser 4) 4 piece End table set & 8 piece kitchen table set 5) Interior and Exterior damage to walls 6) White sofa damage The Statement of claim sent by AAA lists ONLY: 1) Tall white dresser @ 80lbs $48 2) Glass Coffee Table @ 45lbs $27 3) Fraudulently, A third item listed as Glass Entry table with the same weight listed as my coffee table @ 45lbs $27 was added. Oddly this item isn't even listed anywhere within my claim. I have no idea what said Glass table listed is. I never reference ot in my claim. While the actual items, with actual weights and the proof of damages that were pictured with in my claim were conveniently not listed and/or addes to my claim at all. My move was originally for a greater amount of time. When I observed the fraudulent billing techniques, I immediately fired AAA movers within two hours of their incompetent services. DON'T LET THIS SCANDALOUS COMPANY SCAM YOU! AAA movers have failed to rectify this claim amicably, by following through with the rules and guidelines set out within the AAA contract. When I stated the offer was unjust and unfair, and that we can go to court, Rob responded with, "Threatening Court is not a valid option. You will lose and have to pay thousands in attorneys fees, yours and ours. Instead, maybe try an approach where you are assertively angry, without being offensive. Offended the people trying to help does not give you the results you are hoping for. David is good at his job, the value of the items has no bearing whatsoever. Only the actual weight of the items." Yet the items listed by David within my claim aren't actual listed itens I claimed and they ARE NOT the actual weight of the items. The items listed are inaccurate, purposely. I've contacted David and Rob with the inaccuracy in writting and neither party has responded to AAA's fake Statement of Claim that was created on behalf. Despite the listed items of 4) 4 piece End table set & 8 piece Kitchen table set 5) Interior and Exterior damage to walls 6) White Sofa AAA is SHADY AF!

We used AAA Movers for packing and moving. We got a competitive quote from them, but then they charged us almost double the amount, even though they were unable to complete the move as quoted. The packing team threw alot of stuff into boxes without any care, and didn't complete the job, leaving several rooms unpacked and didn't mark the boxes to say what they were or what room they came from. The moving team worked hard, but they ended up damaging our carpet and broke a table. They didn't tell me about the table, just left it laying in a room. I had to pay to fix the carpet myself and sent invoice to AAA but have not been reimbursed for it, nor have they provided any resolution for the double charges or broken table. Terrible customer service, would not use them again!

Minneapolis moving services are some of the most expensive anywhere I've experienced. I hope that simply means that MN companies pay their labor well. We paid $1365 + $180 tip (optional, but come on) for a 3-man crew at $260/hr (2-hour minimum), and we obviously also provided snacks and drinks (they declined breakfast). For comparison, in San Francisco it was $250/hr for 5 men. The rate was with both the weekday discount and winter pricing. Weekend would have been $285/hr for 3 men, and $345 for 4 men. There was no trip fee. Robert, in particular was incredible; he moved a 6 drawer dresser down a tight stairwell alone. They needed to remove the front door at one point, but did so without issue. They also were happy to use our own furniture pads and plastic wrap (leftover from a cross-country move). At one point, they had to back the huge truck through the alley on icy ground, and had no problems. Also, it was easy to provide them inventory by email, and easy to reach them by phone. Lots of moving companies were annoying to contact, which is partly why we chose this one. One a few minor issues: one piece of furniture was shedding pieces of wood. I think they were reinforcements put on by previous owners. I didn't even know they were there, and it doesn't seem to have affected the furniture. They also forgot a couple of items in the yard, including a big smoker we had to move on our own. It's partly my fault, I told them we were good to go. Also, we were made to sign a lot of paperwork, and at various points it was for things like "you confirm that nothing is broken and everything has arrived" and, like, it's weeks later and I'm still unpacking, there is no way I would have known for sure. It's fine, because so far we have had no issues, but if someone did have issues it might feel like being strong-armed via contract. The guys in the truck were just doing their jobs, so it's the process that is problematic more than anything. We would use these guys again!

Pros: -1 My slot was originally at 8:30a, but with days notice I needed to start earlier, and they were able to move it up to 8am. 2- Each individual I spoke to on the phone when setting up the appointment seemed patient, was helpful, and never came off pushy like movers can (at times). 3- The 3 guys sent were overall respectful. The lead seemed to have his stuff together and knew what he was doing, the other two (who he said were newer) weren't as efficient, but again respectful. Cons: 1- Service was from 8a-11a for the equivalent of a studio. 2- They came 15mins late, the commute between the two locations should have been 15mins but ended up being 30 because they had to stop for gas. Unfortunately when they arrived a garbage truck was now blocking the loading dock so that added another 10mins, and another 5-10mins was lost because toward the end of the job I went to my car and when I returned the lead mover was just standing outside the unit because "the door was locked", which it wasn't. He just didn't use his muscle to push open. So in all, over 45mins of wasted time, which costed me. 3- When I questioned their timing, I was told it's because I had a lot of boxes. To be fair, I did, but they were mainly smaller boxes (like for shipping). If anything i think they dragged their feet to milk the time which is very unscrupulous. 4- Their failure to used a door stopper in the beginning resulted in the unit door being scratched, which one guy tried to convince me was there before . FALSE! Anyway, the damage was shared with CMM, but there was never follow-up. Ultimately, maintenance repainted it. 5- Despite boxes being labeled for the rooms they belonged in, they paid little attention. For example those for kitchen in bedroom. 6- I ended up having to help move the dresser since it wasn't placed where I requested. By the time it was realized 2/3 of guys were at the truck and lead asked if I could help. Since I was paying for the service I would have rather not, but it was easier than having to do it alone later. Perhaps I should send them an invoice. 7- Before they took off, I wanted to just to take a peak at the back of the truck to ensure nothing was left behind. The reception to that request was odd. I mean whats the big deal?! Ultimately I went and ensured. 8- In all the delays costed me and I paid about $300-$400 more than anticipated. Funny thing is the lead kept stressing the whole gratuity thing at the end. I gave them each $20 and the look I got seemed like it wasn't enough. It instantly left me wishing I had given ZERO. My last thing which is more of a suggestion, CMM should consider investing in tees or some branded merch for their staff. Having guys show up in sneaker, crocs, and street clothes really didn't provide a professional look which yes, is possible for movers.

While other…read morecompanies were quoting me nearly 3x as much and worse service, U-Pack came thru with a much better quote and unbelievable customization for what I needed. I hired movers in Minneapolis and loaded up the truck. Four days later, u-pack arrived with my stuff ready for my Washington DC movers to unload it. If I had one complaint (I don't, but /if/ I did,), it would be that u-pack won't help you on the other end of the transaction. If you're moving to a suburb or a place with a loading dock, you're 100% fine. I was moving into the city and needed to have parking for this semi, which proved very difficult since I didn't yet live in the city. Even so, U-Pack worked with me to find a visible solution and ended up storing my items on the truck for a few extra days until my parking permits could take effect. Final comment on this: on what was already a very challenging and stressful move, their dispatchers and drivers were a 6/5 stars. They were so nice and patient. I told one dispatcher the problem with parking and she said "you sound so stressed, sweetie. Don't worry, we'll find you a solution. Welcome to DC." I seriously would have hugged her through the phone if I could have.

Just a word of advice though: When loading your contents, don't call to schedule your pickup until it's totally ready! They don't offer pickup windows. I asked them to pick it up at the end of the day (which they said they'd try but couldn't guarantee it) and it came at 10am - yikes I wasn't ready! Thankfully they came back the next day for no charge. Barb on the phone was really personable and pleasant. She gave me a suggestion on what to check out on my road trip and it was awesome! Thank you so much UPack I'll recommend you any day!

We hired two movers with a truck for an 11 am arrival. We did not hear any confirmation until I reached out at 10 am. They said they wouldn't make it until noon. No biggy. Three men arrived in a U-Haul truck shortly after 12pm, with one making a comment about how he just woke up. I was surprised they sent out three, but know their contract states that they can if they feel its necessary. I was expecting professional, on time, careful, efficient movers based on reviews but received the bare minimum. They dropped several boxes and a small weight set, luckily nothing was broken. They also scratched our new stairway with our crib. Our home was 1 master bedroom with a decent sized nursery and a small office. We had everything boxed and ready to go for them, but they only arrived with one dolly, making the time it took to move things extremely prolonged. We expected the job to take roughly 5 hours, but when the movers arrived, one stated that the load up shouldn't take more than 3 hours! We were ecstatic. Unfortunately that was not the case, as it took them 6 hours, even adding another mover towards the end. I wish I could be empathetic, however the time they spent on their phones was problematic. We sent them home before they finished due to the time lingering on, and after complaining about their service, they asked us to cease communication and have threatened legal action, which we plan to take. They offered a small discount after arguing with my significant other, but told us it expires in four days. I wanted badly for my first experience hiring movers to be great, and I thought that the decent price and reviews were enough to earn my trust. I wish I hadn't. I'm sure many people have had great experiences, but the hostility towards us and the poor service we received makes me second guess the legitimacy of some of the reviews, especially after 10 years of business.

Unfortunately, during the move a leak occurred on a fridge that was moved - the company reconnected the power and the water line, returned the fridge against the wall, collected payment and left. Fortunately, I came back the next day to a vacant house to gather anything left behind, and found a wet carpet, a wet bathroom, wet hardwoods, flood ceilings, damaged HVAC, etc. The carpet is ruined, the hardwoods are ruined in numerous areas. I brought this to Tyrell's attention, and it has been brushed off by him numerous times. The company claims that the water line was "done as a courtesy", which I contest - the service was offered, and was paid for. It is estimated that I have $35,000-$40,000 in damages throughout the house. With that said, I'm not mad that it occurred, I understand these things can happen. What frustrates me is that after repeated attempts to gather the companies insurance information, they have refused to provide it. The companies website clearly notates that "We are a professional moving company in Minneapolis with the required licenses and insurance." It is a requirement that moving companies maintain insurance. It is my right to file a claim. The fact that they have been unwilling after numerous attempts to provide an insurance carriers name, let alone a point of contact or policy number, is highly concerning. I have contacted the Attorney General's Office, Better Business Bureau, Department of Labor, and will continue looking for resources to ensure that this is dealt with adequately. The main job of someone that runs a moving company is to deal with customer issues swiftly, and that has not been the case here at all. I would highly recommend doing due dilligence before hiring Tyrell's crew, they are quick to collect payment, but awfully slow to remediate any customer concerns.
