I have never written a review but feel compelled to let people know that you do not want to trust your possessions to this company. We used the storage feature and two months of our items being in storage and delivered we were shocked and disappointed in how our items were packed. My expensive furniture was dented, fragile boxes upside down and smashed, heavy duty plastic bins were destroyed along with items inside. Many keepsake valuables broken. Many tears during my move into my new home. My move in was the most stressful, sad day in what should have been joyful. We received a fraction of our $12000 cost reimbursed. We were not informed nor did we sign appropriately the higher reimbursement option. Quite frankly we should not need to insure for the unprofessional staff hired by AAA Movers and their disregard for our belongings. So not good. I knew moves wouldn't go perfect, but this was horrible. Would do 0 stars if I could. Said they could move a piano on Saturday, then that week said they couldn't. Lost screws to every bed they disassembled, then the worker just sat there doing nothing. Dropped a piece of furniture, scratching the wall and windowsill. Two workers left early before the job was done. Dropped a box on the wood floor leaving a deep scratch. The packers and movers were fantastic. They handled my belongings with care. The movers did a great job both on both ends without causing any damage. The business office side was a little more challenging in terms of communication and updates. The total cost was significantly over the estimate I was given, which was not updated. Hopefully that will still be reconciled. The other issue was payment and a 3% up-charge with use of a credit card., The inability to do a bank transfer made things cumbersome and more expensive. read more

No apology for what occurred. 2 hours into the move I was told "not everything will fit into the truck" which was ridiculous because I had just moved the year prior. same size truck and had less items this time. My son took a picture of the back of the truck and it was completely open, things would have fit if it had just been loaded differently. As a previous customer of AAA - this was the first bad experience I had. Customer Service before the move was INCREDIBLE, but since we had multiple issues reported to the company - CRICKETS. 1- My desk was damaged; the piece holds the leg in place got bent in the truck and is unrepairable as it broke the weld on the metal. When we showed the team lead, he just tried bend it back, thus breaking the weld even more. Was not happy with how he handled that. Instead of apologizing, he made it seem like they couldn't have done that. 2- Lesser, but still really annoying and damage to things that weren't broken and I need to now replace - I walked into my bedroom at the new house to find one of the guys RIPPING my clothes out of the wardrobe- breaking 9 of my hangers. No doubt trying to hurry bc their team leader was constantly yelling at them to go faster. 3 - Wall scuffs on the stair walls going down to the basement of the new house. 4 - Multiple items - boxes, dressers and my buffet console - were completely turned UPSIDE DOWN in the move. I don't understand why they needed to transport anything that way when they had a ton of unused space in the truck. I told the team lead at our first home I'd rather pack the contents of my buffet quick if he needed me to. He insisted it would be fine. Needless to say, it did NOT make it to the new house fine. Everything in it was an absolute mess - crayons, markers, safety pins, push pins, paper, EVERYWHERE lodged inside the piece - it took me an hour to remove all the drawers and dig everything out of the inner nooks and crannies. Same for a few kitchen boxes - things we packed that couldn't be upside down - were set in the kitchen upside down. Sugar EVERYWHERE-- in our coffee maker inside, all over the silverware......absolute mess. I have never had a team of movers care so little about my property. 5 - The floor pad things - while they were put in place, they were disgusting on my brand new carpet. When they rolled them up (in both homes), it left stuff everywhere thru out the house. Disgusting. Not sure the protocol to cleaning those and rolling them up carefully, but it was very sloppy. 6 - We were not super impressed by the 6 man crew. Having only ever had 3 man crews for previous moves with AAA - i was expecting the unload to FLY. But It took WAY longer. One of the guys did significantly less than the others all day.......he consistently carried in one light thing, being very open about "being tired" and joking with the guys about being out late the night before. I was tempted to ask him to just leave his items in the garage - we could have moved what he moved in a third of the time. Super unprofessional. 7 - Lastly, the team lead got extremely rude with my at the end when he was forced to stop the clock bc I "called to complain about them getting a sandwich". I explained that I emailed AAA to ASK about the policy of paying for drive time/breaks bc they took nearly an hour to drive 8 miles after telling us "we'll head straight there!" when we all left the first house. So I was confused. He was really rude after that - so feedback for you guys - maybe don't tell your team something like that when they're still on the job. It had a significant impact on his service. We tipped the guys really well despite all this - he didn't even say thank you. I was FLOORED. SO RUDE. In summary - this experience was very different than previous we've had with AAA and WAYYYYYY more expensive. We went with the 6 man crew per their STRONG recommendation - costing us $4,100. This is OVER DOUBLE what we've paid in the past, and we also moved SIGNIFICANT amounts of boxes, our entire garage, miscellaneous items in the weeks leading up the AAA move. So, while the move got done, I can't say I'd recommend AAA after that experience. I would appreciate a response back from the company. read more

Asked to move 3 office cubes 2 weeks in advance from a place we were purchasing from. Sent pictures and the specifications of the cubicles, we had disconnected the power whip and sent the layout for how to setup in the delivery site. Everything was fine, took my deposit. AAA Movers customer care team did not do a thorough job of investigating my claim. AAA movers added up damages to a resolution of $102. In reality AAA damaged more than 700lbs of property. At $.60 per lbs, that alone is $420. I've paid nearly $800 to have my property ruined within an hour. David in claims made ip items on my Statement of claim. David misrepresented the weight of my daughters dresser after being notified in writing that one whute the dresser weights more than 120lbs. The most expensive piece AAA ruines wasmy Brown Room and Boards dresser that weights more than 500lbs, was conveniently left off the Statement of Claim in it's entirety. But, yet David added a second glass table at $27 into my settlement, that was NEVER included into any the claim via pictures or email, in an attempt to minimum liabilty while committing fraud as if I didn't claim 1) Brown Dresser 2) Lights 3) White dresser 4) 4 piece End table set & 8 piece kitchen table set 5) Interior and Exterior damage to walls 6) White sofa damage The Statement of claim sent by AAA lists ONLY: 1) Tall white dresser @ 80lbs $48 2) Glass Coffee Table @ 45lbs $27 3) Fraudulently, A third item listed as Glass Entry table with the same weight listed as my coffee table @ 45lbs $27 was added. Oddly this item isn't even listed anywhere within my claim. I have no idea what said Glass table listed is. I never reference ot in my claim. While the actual items, with actual weights and the proof of damages that were pictured with in my claim were conveniently not listed and/or addes to my claim at all. My move was originally for a greater amount of time. When I observed the fraudulent billing techniques, I immediately fired AAA movers within two hours of their incompetent services. DON'T LET THIS SCANDALOUS COMPANY SCAM YOU! AAA movers have failed to rectify this claim amicably, by following through with the rules and guidelines set out within the AAA contract. When I stated the offer was unjust and unfair, and that we can go to court, Rob responded with, "Threatening Court is not a valid option. You will lose and have to pay thousands in attorneys fees, yours and ours. Instead, maybe try an approach where you are assertively angry, without being offensive. Offended the people trying to help does not give you the results you are hoping for. David is good at his job, the value of the items has no bearing whatsoever. Only the actual weight of the items." Yet the items listed by David within my claim aren't actual listed itens I claimed and they ARE NOT the actual weight of the items. The items listed are inaccurate, purposely. I've contacted David and Rob with the inaccuracy in writting and neither party has responded to AAA's fake Statement of Claim that was created on behalf. This review is a long time coming. The good: AAA movers showed up on time, was flexible with routes, and didn't damage either of my homes or my materials. The ugly: the morning after I moved, my first chore of the day was to put my most valuable possetions in my safe. I had moved these by myself the day before the move and hid them the best that I could (AAA doesn't move these materials). I realized immediately that my very expensive and prized possession was stolen. I immediately filed a police report and notified AAA movers. AAA movers refused to acknowledge anything was stolen and stonewalled me for 3 months. The police were not able to justify a search warrant for any of the movers. What was supposed to be an exciting and happy move turned into a very violating and disturbing experience, and I was left holding the bag. After reviewing the police report I did my own research on the movers (their names were included) and the one I suspected has been arrested for theft multiple times over the last 4 years, assault, and currently has a restraining order against him. My trust in people has since been severely reduced. Lesson learned: if you are going to use AAA movers or another company for that matter, keep and eye on the movers at all times and do not let them be alone in your house for the slightest moment. AAA Movers moved me end of Jan 2025. A lot of glass breakage. I carefully packed everything to prevent breakage. A lot of the boxes have holes and dents like they were kicked. Some were opened. I have quite a few things missing that are not here now that I have unpacked. Things of value that I paid plenty for are gone. A couple of furniture items are broken. I told the claims person to come here and look at the damages and she said no. Over $2000. of damages and missing items and they settled with me for $200. AAA is the worst moving company and breaches its contract on all levels. They could not read their schedule correctly and showed up 5 hours late. They did not use the moving blankets they were supposed to use to wrap up furniture so several pieces got gouged, dinged, and scratched. Their policy claims to pay 60 cents per pound damaged. But nobody returns calls and they decided that $30 was the proper refund for about 800 pounds of damaged furniture. They lied to the Better Business Bureau when I filed a complaint. They have offered an insultingly low settlement and denied all responsibility. We used AAA Movers for packing and moving. We got a competitive quote from them, but then they charged us almost double the amount, even though they were unable to complete the move as quoted. The packing team threw alot of stuff into boxes without any care, and didn't complete the job, leaving several rooms unpacked and didn't mark the boxes to say what they were or what room they came from. The moving team worked hard, but they ended up damaging our carpet and broke a table. They didn't tell me about the table, just left it laying in a room. I had to pay to fix the carpet myself and sent invoice to AAA but have not been reimbursed for it, nor have they provided any resolution for the double charges or broken table. We hired AAA Movers. They didn't come to see what we had to move but instead, relied on me to tell them, over the phone, what furniture we had and how many boxes we'd need. All our dressers were emptied completely making MORE BOXES for movers, taking up more space in the truck and costing us more money, time, and now that we're in our new place, headache trying to find the boxes with our underwear, work clothes, etc. I do NOT recommend them. Worst moving experience. Smaller truck and lots of stuff left out due to insufficient space. They came in on time and began loading the stuff. After 1 hour we realized that the truck was almost full but we still got a couple of beds, desks, chairs and a lot of miscellaneous stuff to be loaded. The movers did try to fit the beds in but a lot was stuff was left out cause of insufficient space. This has been ridiculously annoying since they sent me a smaller 18ft truck for a 2 bed apartment. The truck was 20% already full with all the equipment they came with. When asked they blamed the estimate that was generated for the quote. When I booked through their client, he only asked us to mention the big ticket items such as beds, furniture etc but not the other miscellaneous stuff, so we did not and it turned out to be a pathetic decision. The round robin was not worth the money for the smaller sized stuff I had left out. So my wife and myself had to spend 5 more hours to move that stuff later. Didn't I pay the money to have that avoided? Why should I pay for extra time for them to round robin. Crew was respectful and friendly but wished they handled my furniture more carefully. There was no shrink wrap done to any of the furniture. No bubble wrap used. At the end of the move, my couch had a couple of teared linings and bedframes had many scratches. This is partially a result of the insufficient space. The movers could have better arranged the items in the truck such that everything could have fit in, but they crammed all the stuff in the order they moved out. The movers agreed that the truck was small and this situation happened with other customers many times. Why has the management not fixed the issue? Why can't they send a larger truck? Why get paid for jobs half done? I would definitely not recommend AAA to anyone ever. There are many budding mover companies out in market. Please go find someone else. Bad on both jobs I hired them for. I didn't realize it the first time (as they moved me into storage), but when they moved me out I started finding quite a bit of damage to my vintage furniture - big scratches and scrapes on many items; they broke some items, too. In addition, the last time I used them was during Covid and while their website said they were doing minimal contact and masking, there was still too much close contact, not proper masking, etc. When I complained about the damage, they had me thoroughly document all the damage (fine) but it took hours to document and upload them. Rather than just offer me some $ off, their solution was to try to get their guy to come down and fix everything in my house...during a pandemic. I didn't want them in my house after the experience I had, particularly since it's a health risk. They took my $, damaged/destroyed my things and the follow up service was pathetic. I have never experienced such an awful moving experience. Not only was I quoted well under the amount I was charged, I was overcharged and have been trying to speak to someone for over a week so that I can be reimbursed. I have sent countless emails and left many voicemails that have gone unanswered. My belongings (including my plants) were just thrown into boxes. It took FOUR hours for one man to pack 16 boxes, and that was after he arrived nearly an hour outside of the guaranteed arrival time. Above all, I was told to "lose the attitude" by a sales manager. Last year when I moved, I had a flawless experience. Justin the sales person did the quote and sent it to me in writing. The drivers were 4 hours late but they were efficient and all business. This second move was a nightmare as many others have reported. Justin quoted me but he didn't add a 3rd person or give me a bigger truck. I called Kamil another person at the company to add furniture to the bill of lading to ensure insurance coverage. I had one bed, it is a king. I was charged for a king AND queen mattress protector. I was also charged $30 a tv box. Please don't pay for this. They literally bought pieces of cardboard and wrapped my tv. You don't get a box. They take the cardboard with them when they leave. My delivery guys are contractors. Not employees. They arrived smelling of marijuana. I guess of you are a contractor, you can do that. They arrived at 915am and during the move one guy was on a personal phone call for about 30 minutes. I am being charged by the hour. Because Justin didn't pay attention to my move request, my bill was over 1,200. We tipped the guys $120.00 because it's not their fault they had to squeeze my furniture into a tiny truck. I have a scratched dining table, a destroyed bookshelf, and a broken couch frame. If I had not helped these 2 men labor for 7.5 hours, lifting furniture, moving boxes, unwrapping furniture, folding over 20 moving blankets and unraveling rubber bands.. the guys would have been moving for 10 hours. The 2 guys Mike and Rico were so exhausted they left the company moving Apple iPad at my house. Today is Tuesday, my move was Saturday. Anyone want a free iPad? Did I mention I have cervical degeneration and I'm lifting heavy items while paying this company to destroy my furniture? I have epidural pain injections Friday for the pain in my lower and upper back. Please avoid this company. See my invoice, my photos, and think before you use these guys. I have recieved no response from the company for my damage or refund for charges which didn't apply to me. Local move, 3 miles. Our experience was much the same as the other 1 star reviews. 2 man crew that they said would be sufficient. Move was scheduled for morning, 8-10. Apparently some crew called in sick & all the others were out, but they would send a crew asap; so we got a tired crew. That should not be the customer's problem. "Tips & gratuities are appreciated" was a phrase that we heard within the first 5 minutes & at least 4 times afterward. When one was pointing out something that wasn't on the paperwork, I replied that it had been mentioned and he seemed to take that as confrontational. They slipped out leaving 1 full closet - but they did offer to go back & get it...of course, on the clock. After we expressed concern over the amount of time it was taking (should not have taken over 3 hours, mainly boxes) one of the crew kept asking how much cash we had and based on that they would try to keep it within what we had on hand. No way would I ever want anyone to experience the predatory nature of this company. UPDATE: Estimated quote $535. Invoiced amount $986. We were prepared for it to go over, but not by $451. I did not post this review until a couple of weeks after speaking with David @ AAA on 1/29. There was a statement of claim emailed on 1/31 that said there would be a refund of $118 issued. First time moving with AAA. To start, we were quoted a lower price than what was billed. Two trucks and 6-7 movers for the job. While the crew was friendly and nice, everything seemed to be rushed and kitchenware was broken, walls scuffed and dented and a $2500 desk was literally broken into 3 pieces. The first time it was attempted moved, the entire left side snapped. They re-attempted moving it without changing their approach and broke the other side. They have so far offered to pay $120 or $0.60/lb for damages. This company is a joke and shouldn't be moving anyone. This is why they have insurance but obviously do whatever they can to not file a claim, likely because this happens so often their premiums would be through the roof and they would cease to operate. Do NOT move with this company. I have used multiple other metro moving companies with zero issues and wish I had used anyone but AAA. I have waited a full year to write my review. Our team was extremely nice, which is probably what helped them steal so much of our stuff. I am still finding things a year later that were stolen. If you see them show up with 4 trucks on a 2 truck job (was bid as 2 trucks), be wary. I have moved so many times, never have I had so many things go missing. When I asked customer service, they offered me something silly like 43cents/lb for our missing items. They also continually told me, "you'll probably find it", as if I don't have eyes and am unaware of how many rooms I have in my home. They also confirmed that the trucks were empty at the end of the move, I asked, "all four trucks were empty, or just the two that were used?" The other two were obviously filled with our things that they intended to keep. We also know that the trucks being empty was a lie because we had given a big, framed print to one of the movers, which was in one of the trucks. Could not be more disappointed in the quality of service or the attention to detail. Movers in home destroyed furniture, scratched wood floors, stained carpeting, chipped walls. Used kitchen tablecloths that were stored as floor covering in walkway. Then hid behind 'limited insurance' coverage per pound and per sq foot. Promised refund has yet to be provided. read more
