I did exactly that - when the quote came back at nearly THREE times the cost of my current provider, I sent Kristy a polite email declining the coverage from AAA. This took place over TWO MONTHS AGO! I have called in since and of course, got the run-around. I even ended up speaking with Kristy AGAIN. She apologized and promised once again to get this $25 gift card to me....SHOCKER - ANOTHER LIE!!!!!!! Called for assistance. AI took my request and told me support would be at my home in 120 minutes. 200+ minutes later and no help. Called. Was told my request had not been activated. Two strikes. This location has the most professional, friendly and competent customer service staff we've encountered in a long time. My wife and I were in and out with our International Driver's License in less than 20 minutes...photos, documents, stamps and payment, all with maps of Italy in hand. There's even a member of their staff from Italy who speaks the language. Note that an International Driver's License is required to rent a car in Italy these days. Member with AAA for whole family for many years. Had a scary blowout in interstate. Dispatcher had no service contractor to handle my emergency. Told me (repeatedly) "you are not covered" and every time a said I was stuck in I-10 and needed help, said just respond "call 911." WTH? That's the only reason I pay for AAA. She didn't provide any info that might have helped me. She said because I had a camper my truck that was covered, now suddenly wasn't covered. I was never informed of that, nor did I ever misrepresent that I sometimes traveled with a camper. "You're not covered," was the answer to all my questions about who to call, what services might be arranged, nothing. Hung up and left me stranded on the side of the interstate with trucks roaring by 4 feet away going 70+ miles an hour, for three hours in 100 degree heat. read more

It does not spread rapidly at Taco Bell or McDonald's or Pizza Hut or any of the other takeout locations around Phoenix, or gas stations, or office supply stores, or grocery stores. I know that AAA would not just use covert as an excuse for lack of services... Right? Either way, I paid my membership and I'm not getting the services that I was promised. If I could give the international travel agent a negative amount of stars I would I normally book my international flights with great success. I used this travel agent/agency on my last trip early this year. I went back and organized 6 international tickets What a mistake I am currently sitting in the ticketing area of Tom Bradley as the airline I am connecting to does not open until 6pm tonight 6 hours from now. The travel agent was not aware that in September the rules changed and all flights if they are connecting internationally must be on the same ticket itinerary. For some reason our tickets were put in a different itinerary. That meant instead of checking out bags through to the final destination we had to pick them up and recheck them. This is a novice mistake. Even when I use orbitz or Expedia I don't have this problem. Ian so NOT impressed with sitting in seats ( which I am so lucky we found) in the ticketing area For the next 6 hours. This could have all been avoided if the agent was aware of changes within the industry. I know things happen in travel and I go with the flow with those but this one could have totally been avoided. Lucky we had the credit card of the airline we were flying domestically or we would have incurred significant bag fees To rub salt into the wound last night we rang the agent that we dealt with as asked about heat warnings and effecting our flights She blithely commented that she had heard nothing. We just read in the Washington Post that earlier this week the airline we were traveling on started canceling flights We changed our own flight from the originating airport and were told by the airline that was a smart. Move. When we told our agents response. "Wait and see what happens tomorrow". The airline person rolled their eyes. Travel plans can go pie shaped pretty quickly and things happen but mistakes like this should not. read more

I've been an AAA plus member for over 20 years and this location has been my place to go. This particular time I came here to take pictures for passport and experience was very pleasant. Upon arrival, a staff greeted me with nice smile, quickly helped me check in with my card, she took me to the back area to take a picture. I probably sat there for about 3 minutes before she delivered my photos. I was here for about 5 minutes and I was on my way. In the past, I came here for international driver's license and travelers check back in the day TC was popular, came here many times for passport photo (used for business VISA photo), each time I was greeted with smiles. As my work continues to take me to many places, good to know they are here to help me get to those places. read more

BATTERY SERVICE IS A FRAUD. Buy a new battery from AAA and this is what happens when you need a warranty replacement. It will cost you a minimum of 2 or your 4 annual service calls for Emergency service. They don't tell you that. ASK THEM IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME. 1. They come out to your vehicle and test it....it is dead. 2. They tell you to take it to Auto Zone to get charged. If you are disabled, can't do it yourself you are screwed so go buy one from Auto Zone 3. They come back out and hit your account for 2nd service call to tell you if your battery is good or not. If it is good then they don't do anything. Your battery is fully charged. Of course it is going to be good. 4. Your driving and the battery dies and it is 115 degrees outside. AAA comes out for a 3rd call and decides if you need a battery or a jumpstart. What do you do? Wasting 2-3 calls when you get 4 in a year seems excessive. Please fix this policy. read more

If you need passport pictures and have a AAA membership, you may be able to get them here for free. I think Plus and Premier members get free passport photos, check the details to make sure. Depending on what you need done, you may also save yourself a visit to Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)... we all know how pleasant that is. It feels kind of old fashion to have AAA nowadays, with credit cards and insurance companies providing similar services to Auto Club, but we have definitely gotten peace of mind, specially when we had young drivers in our household. While some credit cards provide roadside assistance, the services are not always free. Check the fine print. We also like to get our batteries with AAA, I think the warranty is up to 7 years, they replace them for free the first few years, and prorate it afterwards. I've been coming to this AAA office for years. I use to pick up maps and guide books. You can still do that, but most of us aren't using those anymore. Also, theme park tickets, but most of those are online too. So what's this review about? The car buying service. We specified the type of car we were interested in and then selected some models to see. Five SUV's from competing manufacturers were lined up for us to view and test drive at our appointment. We were allowed to inspect and drive unsupervised. We spent well over an hour doing so. Once we made a decision, went went about the specifics of ordering a car with the precise options desired. The pricing was reasonable. Some interesting facts about relative repair cost, etc, were shared. A sales pitch for an extended warranty and AAA auto repair was the only aspect of the transaction that resembled visiting an auto dealership. They'll even deliver the car and do paperwork at your home if you desire. Could you possibly negotiate a lower price? Sure, but the price is fair, which is not always the case at an auto dealership. Using AAA is high in convenience and low in hassle. read more

I had two bad experiences here in the past 7 days. Unfortunately for me, I just joined the AAA club and this is my closest office. There was nobody in the lobby and I was the only customer and I was very pleased with that. However, when I went to the counter, the young lady with dark hair, was very rude to me and my wife. She was unfriendly, unwelcoming and was full of anxiety. She snapped at my wife when my wife asked if they offer drivers license services. And she just flat out refused to register my travel trailer. She insisted that my bill of sale was not valid and would not process it. I went to North Phoenix and we took care of BOTH of our issues at another vehicle registration business. Hi Readers, On a Saturday we took one of our cars into AAA to have an issue fixed, We wanted the car there to be looked at first thing Monday morning. It took some time to figure out what the problem really resided, but that was fine with us, we were in no hurry. We picked us the car on Wednesday. Service was great. very polite and professional. We have an unusual car and not alot of mechanics know how to work on it. There is a discount for being a AAA member and have been for many years. They have a shuttle to take you home or pick you up. A lot of people don't know they actually have a few locations that provide Auto Repair. Not just for your travels and tow trucks. An oil change, and front brake pad replacement, and changed his front rotors which he didn't ask for or approve. They scammed him because he's an older man and knew he'd pay. The parts for everything were less than $80, and less than $50 for the stuff he took it in for. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. My father will never come here again and I will make sure no one else does either. Triple A uses false advertising and horrible customer service. After several years with them I won't be coming back. Earlier this year I got an ad to add an extra member for free. I called and added my mom to my account. Several months later my mom called to check and found out she wasn't on my account. I called again and they told me I could add her for half price of a regular membership. After explaining my situation to the representative she told me they never had that deal, even though I still had several emails with the ad. I called again to get a different person to talk to since the last one lied. After explaining and waiting for a super long time and sending the email of evidence they still wouldn't except it. I went to this office, the first time this year, and was told at 4:20 (they are open supposedly until 5:30) after trying to open a locked door, that they were closed because of an emergency. I'm a Triple A member since I was 18....I'm now 55....a very long time! I just needed 2 people to witness some beneficiary forms for my work insurance. The lady at the desk was very rude....told me we do not do that we only notarize forms. I basically said sure if you want to put a notary stamp on it fine...I just need 2 people to witness my signature how simple is that it's basically the same thing as a notary. She said we don't do that and refused my service. Why do I pay for a membership if I get refused service? read more

When we arrived, we were greeted promptly by friendly front desk staff and they asked quick non-intrusive questions to make sure they got us to the right place. I've been a AAA member for more years than I care to admit and never really used any services other than roadside assistance. I recently discovered that there are numerous third party businesses that can handle your vehicle title, registration, plates, and everything that the DMV can do. This office is awesome. Walk in show them your membership card and they give you a pager, a few minutes later you're handling all of the business you need for your automobiles, travel, vacations, etc. I can only speak to the title, registration and tags piece, the office is great. The two young ladies that handle the DMV stuff are awesome and make long dreary tasks easy. Friendly, courteous, extremely helpful! My boyfriend bought a car from a private seller and needed to get it transferred into his name. He was dreading the 4 hour wait at the MVD and I told him to come along with me to this office of AAA to get it handled. He had about 95% of what he needed to get it done. We waited about 10 minutes in the very comfortable seating area. The office is clean and welcoming. It's very peaceful and compared to waiting for 4 hours in the MVD office, it's a little slice of heaven. When our turn came. the two women on the Vehicle registration desk were charming, efficient, fun, and just plain wonderful. Samantha Jourden helped my BF sort through all the documents and paperwork. She went over and above for us and helped me sell my BF on the Grand Canyon Railway Tour AND a membership for him. When we left he was so impressed with the service in the entire facility that he agreed to join AAA, and we're planning that Rail trip! Yay! Bonus! I have been a member of AAA since I first left home after college. That's too many decades to list! I'm a Premier member and the extra perks and benefits are well worth it. From the discounts at the AAA travel shop to fees being waived for vehicle services, they really take great care of their customers. I would give this office six stars if I could. read more
