The work that was done was shoddy, with no attention to detail, and caused damage to existing plumbing. Contractor attempted to charge us additional funds to complete the job after a price and scope of work was agreed upon in a signed contract prior to the start of work. My wife felt extremely uncomfortable interacting with this contractor as he was pushy and inappropriate. In short, a very dishonest outfit. Do not trust this guy.

Anyway, on to the positive. It was a breath of fresh air to find a local contractor who knew the area and best shops to send us in search of materials. We signed a contract detailing payment schedule and work outline. Robert and his team have been honest, friendly, professional and realistic about our timeline. There have been no wild or costly surprises, and I must say Robert has an eye for design and helped me choose final cabinet color after my first choice was a bit out there, haha. Currently we are waiting on some custom shelves to be made for installation. We are also awaiting our beverage cooler, probably on a ship off the coast . Once those items are complete, I will upload some new photos. Mahalo Robert! Can't wait to finalize this project.

We engaged Lingol Construction to do a number of jobs for us on our home over the years, including…read morea major remodel of most of the house a few years ago. This was a major project to replace the front facade with a new entrance and deck, sandblast and stucco, remodel the kitchen and baths, upgrade interior wiring and plumbing, replace all windows and doors, create a new room in the basement, add interior stairs, etc. etc. etc. resulting in nearly a re-build of the entire house. It required an army of subcontractors ... we were thankful that we had Alan Lingol engaged as the general contractor to manage the details. Alan has a lot of experience in the construction business and was able to work with our architect, engineer, and countless sub-contractors. He also has strong people-skills and he listened carefully to our ideas and concerns. He was organized and thoughtful. We requested many modifications as the project progressed and we were able to work through the inevitable issues that come up with a project of this size. We are very pleased with the end-product ... after-all, we live in our house every day. In many cases Alan came up with some great ideas that we had not thought of and now look back with relief that we had incorporated some of those ideas ... even if you're an expert yourself, you still want somebody who can look at things with a keen eye and suggest alternatives. There are "before and after" pictures of our kitchen posted on the company's website. Our parents also engaged his services on their beautiful home in La Jolla which included a kitchen remodel and replacement of doors and windows. I've hired SDOV for two projects so far - installing a glass shower door, and constructing a steel pergola that we had ordered and had delivered. With both projects, Ozzy has been really great to work with. He's punctual, arrives prepared, protected the work area, explained what needed to be done and how he would do it, and he got to work. He was always good about answering any questions I had, and only brought something to my attention if I needed to know about it or if there was an important question, which was great after dealing with some handymen who created more problems in our house than solutions. Ozzy was very polite, friendly and professional, and he's seemed extremely trustworthy and fair when it comes to pricing. I've recommended him to all my neighbors, and I'm so happy that we've found him, because his work has been all around great, and we have needed it. There are several more things I plan to hire him for when we can. After seeing how well he handled both projects, I'd like to hire him for some larger project ideas I have.

We only needed a wall (6ft wide, 8ft tall) removed from our home, because it separated our dining area from our living room. We were turned down by several contractors, saying it was not a big enough project for them, so it wouldn't be worth their time to come out. Somebody suggested we go with a non-licensed contractor, because no licensed contractor would be willing to do a project this small. Even though there were no Yelp reviews for SDOV, the photos looked nice, and they replied quickly to offer a free estimate. They came by to see if the wall might be load bearing, which it was, and emailed me an estimate, which was around what we were expecting to pay. A non-licensed contractor offered a cheaper price, but we were happy to pay a little more for licensed contractors. They removed the wall, installed a supporting beam, patched up the wall and ceiling, replaced the luxury vinyl plank floors, and patched up the baseboards in one day! Removing this wall made a huge difference in our home! Thank you so much, SDOV! We'll definitely be reaching out again for any future home projects.

They always kept me in the loop with what was happening and did what they said they were going to do when they said they would do it. They finished ahead of schedule and on budget. And they're just very sweet people, nice people to have in your home every day for a month. The interior designer they brought into create design sketches and mock-ups gave me a couple really valuable ideas that helped me make the best decision when I felt a little lost about how to do it. Our bathroom is gorgeous and I definitely plan on hiring them again for our next project! I am so happy with how everything turned out.

Nightmare of nightmares!!!…read more Proper completion is all we want! Nothing extra. Wish we could've met Guy who everyone is speaking so highly of. We hired his nephew, Denny. 1 month was the completion time we were told. Beginning of August 2023 was the starting time and here is 2024 with an incomplete yard. Completion time is nothing compared to the rest. I really need no words... just look at his work that he's been proud of, each step of the way. I do not know how he has a license. He was not knowledgeable about certain things, was unprofessional, negligent with poor communication skills, horrible workmanship and was ok with obviously horrendous work. Beware of Denny Cohen. He shrugs off concerns, believes his guys over clients so doesn't even check on the concerns & lies about little things such as digging, dirt replacement, leveling, sloping, seams, and likes to raise his voice at women when he is asked about something that is obviously wrong. I was uncomfortable continuing to work with him and Realm Home insisted I do anyways. Even though they knew how the last interaction between us made me feel like crying afterwards due to his aggressive tone and telling me how anything he does-- I won't be satisfied-- over and over and over again. All we have asked for was proper completion. We were willing to accept so many things that were wrong but we couldn't accept these things you see in the pictures. I don't believe anyone else would either. A huge project that he could not handle. I don't want anyone going through this!!!! If he had only addressed our concerns when we first brought them up, instead of brushing us off... ***oh it's supposed to be sloped. What do you mean lumpy. We'll just brush that and it'll be fine. The seams? There will always be seams. That's what dg looks like. Dg will never be solid, the dogs will always leave foot prints. (if dogs can leave footprints, humans can leave bigger ones, so why would anyone want dg?). That's 100% new dirt, my guys said (even with video proof of the opposite) *** ... there was a huge chance that the project would have been completed and worthy of, at the very least, "settling".
