Due to the pandemic not improving we decided to cancel the trip as we were travelling outside of the country with children and someone with pre existing health concerns (We planned last year and thought things would be better now). Once cancelled I did not hear from our travel agent Linda for days to know if the trip was successfully cancelled or when we should expect a refund etc. I had to reach out to her and once we finally spoke she told me that the trip was cancelled and we would not receive our deposits. How unethical and unprofessional to not make a client aware of this before cancelling. My family and I loss over $1300 in deposits. Not to mention there was NO written verbiage in our contract or emails that stated deposits will be forfeited due to cancellation. Which I mentioned to Linda. We also had insurance by the way. I also asked why was I not informed that there would be a loss prior to cancelling the trip. All I received was an apology of miscommunication. There can be no miscommunication if there is NO communication!! I feel this was very low level service for someone who claims to have been in the business for over 20 years. I feel there is a bit of shady business here and I recommend you look elsewhere.
