I reached out to them and spoke directly to the Owner Andrew; we made an appointment at my convenience a few weeks in advance when I was scheduled to be in town. Andrew stopped by a few days before I arrived to assess the property and already had a plan in place for the best camera locations. I was amazed with what he was going to do and all the latest cameras and all other needed equipment. We agreed on a price. He scheduled me in when I was in town and got all the work done. Andrew gave me an and my wife a tutorial on how everything works. Got us up and running in no time at all. His company will also be monitoring our home. So, if anyone is considering installing a security system for their home and business. This is a great company to consider they offer quality work and outstanding customer service. We were approached by a ONIT Security rep going door to door one evening. We had just moved into…read moreour new house and we were needing to get a security system. I was told for putting a Brinks sign in my yard, ONIT would give me a top of the line system with all the bells and whistles. What I got was the base package from Brinks, plus a smart lock and doorbell camera. Also, my home was prewired for security alarms, but instead they came out and stuck wireless sensors on all the doors and windows. I was a little miffed. However, for what they did install works well and I am pleased with the system. The doorbell camera is a low quality SkyBell door bell camera, but it does work even if I can't see who is actually at the door most of the time. This is more a Skybell issue than ONIT. Their installer was there within an hour after signing the contract and had to come back to install the doorbell camera once they had stock on it. He was very quick, professional, and always responded quickly to my calls.

We contacted ONIT about a strong rotten egg odor in our well water and spent a month going back and…read moreforth just trying to get an update. ONIT would tell us we would get a call for updates by the end of the day, but no one ever followed up, forcing us to chase them for information. Several contact attempts went unanswered completely, and there is no publicly available email, which made communication even more frustrating. ONIT admitted they had "never encountered this issue before" and were unsure how to fix it. Which is just what you want to hear from the people who sold you the equipment and promised to service it. After nearly a month of waiting, we were told a well specialist was needed to flush our pipes and that would fix the issue. When the technician arrived, he stated on record that he was not actually a well specialist, which means ONIT didn't even send a qualified technician. When the tech arrived he said that pipe flushing wasn't necessary and instead identified that the system required an upstream sediment filter which had never been installed. Had ONIT just sent someone to look at our system when we first reached out, we wouldn't have been left with foul water for over a month. I'm guessing the reason they delayed sending a tech is because they do not have any in-house technicians. They hire everything third party. If you have well water, I would recommend finding another solution as they are not prepared to handle that, and have admitted incompetence when problems arise. If you have city water, I would recommend finding another solution because if you run into an issue you will have a hard time getting in contact with anyone.
