I was in the Kenwood area when my tire‑pressure light came on. After stepping out of my car, I immediately heard a hissing sound. I drove to the closest AAA, hoping at best to get some air in the tire so I could make it safely to my next stop. When I pulled in, Phil came outside right away and asked whether I needed air. I explained the situation, and he not only located the screw in my tire--showing me exactly where the issue was--he also told me he could plug it on the spot. Less than an hour and $31 (AAA discount ) later, I was back on the road. I hadn't expected the problem to be diagnosed and repaired immediately, but Phil and Cole took care of everything with patience, professionalism, and kindness. Had the oil changed on my car. They improperly installed the gasket on my oil filter and did not remove the gasket on the drain plug. Within 24 hours all the oil drained out of my vehicle. I was lucky it didn't cause serious damage. I had to have it towed and repaired elsewhere. Take your car somewhere else read more

I took my Mercedes in to replace a part. The part was listed on the Mercedes retail website for $230 (plus tax). Bob Sumerel charged $317.99 (plus tax) for the part. My extended warranty service would only pay 230 for this part, adding that they could easily buy this part for $177. I talked to the manager who did not adjust the price. I needed to cover the difference. I am left feeling overcharged and that I may have been better off going to the dealer for service, considering this markup. I would like to add that the service was timely and done well. The staff were friendly and professional. The only issue was charging a premium like this over listed retail dealer part prices. read more

Went in on a Tuesday afternoon for a slow leak on a tire. They got me in and did a repair. Wednesday morning, I discovered a horrible vibration at highway speed while going to work. Called them and was told to come back in for a rebalance. After, I assumed all was well. Thursday (July 4th) came out and discovered my pressure low warning lamp on again, and also that my center cap was missing on my wheel. Tire low but not flat. Managed to find a gas station close to home and topped off tire. Discovered wheel still out of balance. Improved but still noticeable. Shop closed for the holiday. Stuck at home. Had to cancel an appointment for Friday morning which I took a day off of work to attend. Called again and was told to bring it in for a third time. Shop discovered additional leak around rim and tire deteriorating. Told I needed to replace tire at a cost of $290.00. This should have been caught on day one. A failed repair. Two failed balances. Wheel cap left off. 3 visits. A day and a half of my holiday weekend lost. Vacation hours lost. Paid for a tire repair that I didn't need. Was not offered a credit. This is Bob Sumerel TIRE. They are supposed to be experts. I will say though, that despite my frustration and a nightmare experience, the staff was courteous. I have a handicap, and they treated me respectfully. I do not know if I will ever return, but I do know that I expected better. read more

Have been here to buy new tires and more recently when I suspected a slow-leak in a tire. When I came here for tires I actually was not expecting to buy tires. But I did a quick price comparison on my phone and went with this local establishment. They were friendly and fast! They provide the usual tire rotation for free for the life of the tires. More recently I came in thinking I had a slow-leak in a tire. It was a Sat. morning and I didn't know if they would be able to help me on-the-spot. They did! The guy at the counter was polite and efficient. I waited in their storefront waiting room where the service counter is located. There are a couple of TVs to keep you entertained. In less than twenty minutes the problem screw was removed and tire repaired. About $25 bucks. Love supporting local businesses! read more

Extraordinary Service! Late to review as I had my tires installed on Black Friday! However, I went back today and I was reminded of how great this place is. I purchased 4 new tires for my Lexus IS300 and it totaled around $800 for install and everything. Since I purchased on Black Friday I also received 3 free oil changes and 2 free tire alignments. In my eyes, that is a great deal! They had my car for a very short period of time, and kept me informed on the progress. This place is great for tires and oil changes. My family has taken our various cars to this location for years and have had no issues. However, I recently took my new (to me) Mustang in to have a leak inspected/diagnosed. They then proceeded to tell me someone drove it and suspected there was a "transmission issue." I understand I have a sealed system and they can't access it, so when I asked for a little more info/help they didn't seem to want to help and chalked it up to them not being able to inspect the transmission. All they said was "take it to a transmission shop." At the very least, some referrals for reputable shops in the area would have been helpful. Again, not a terrible experience but giving my manual car back while it's still in gear and no ebrake then telling me someone drove it, isn't exactly comforting. read more

Had my car towed to here for fast and professional service. Not the case. They had my car for 14 days for a non Start issue. After calling everyday for an update and them saying they are waiting on the "computer guy" to look at it, I gave in and had it towed to my house. My son (12 years old) and I had the car running again in less than 10 mins. I highly recommend not going to this workplace. I've been member of AAA and have been going to them for years for oil changes Etc. Recently I had to get some work done for my car involving a check engine light. The AAA workers at this shop told me it was a computer issue so I went and got it tested cheaper and got pictures of the actual issue from Donavon'a auto shop down the street. Look, I didn't even know what an alternator was. The manager, Bill Johnson, was so incredibly nice. They were communicative throughout the process. They let me watch them doing the work. If I could give zero stars I would. They were completely disrespectful to me and made very rude comments to me. I had my car towed here today because I got a flat tire on my way to work. The tow truck driver dropped it off around 8:45 am. I called and told them I needed it done by 3:55 pm since that's when I get off work and I'm 35 weeks pregnant and had 2 other kids that you needed to pick up. I called around 12:40 pm and asked if they had gotten a chance to check my tire out and they said no but they were going to soon. So I called again at 3:20 pm to make sure they had looked at it and they still hadn't. They kept making excuses as to why and basically in a round about way telling me my car wasn't as important as the other cars that were there. So finally before I hung up they said they were going to do my car next. I got there a little after 4 and they still hadn't looked at it. Both the managers were extremely rude to me. They were telling me that my tire is flat and it won't hold air....which I'm obviously well aware of since thats why it was towed there. My husband called to check on it and told them just to put a new tire on instead of taking the time to patch it. The manager made a very attitude filled and rude comment to me about him calLing. I will never ever go back here and I would never recommend this place to anyone. We have called the district manager because their customer service is completely awful. read more

If I could give 1/2 star I would. This place allegedly fixed my elderly parents' brakes a few months ago. Since then, my father is no longer allowed to drive due to his age. I have been driving my parents around and noticed that the brakes were squeaking. We took it in to them and after 2days, we got the car back stating that nothing was wrong with the brakes. Today (2 weeks later) we took it to them again because the brakes are still squeaking. After inspection, their "master" mechanics solution was for us to continue driving the car around until the problem gets worse and THEN he can fix it. UNBELIEVABLE! Drive a car on bad breaks until they are worse is the MASTER MECHANICS solution. read more

Terrible service! I made an appointment for a Saturday morning to have my AC looked at. I drove 30 minutes to get there and planned for someone to pick me up. I was told that there machine broke the day before but they failed to call me. They didn't even look at it to see what the problem was and just turned me away. There were no apologies either! I then made another appointment the following weekend where they did look at but were unable to fix it again. I understand that parts need to be ordered but they could have looked at the first weekend instead of blowing me off. They then quoted me a expensive price for my car to be fixed. I've been a loyal BSTS customer for 35 years. The Blue Ash location, by far, is the worst. Chris is not helpful to the customers and he makes disparaging comments about the employees in front of the customers. Maybe if he treated people with more respect, he'd get more respect from his employees. I took in my new-to-me 2015 Kia because of shaking in the front end. First time, no one was available to talk with me. I arrived at 5:30 p.m., and they closed at 7 p.m. I was asked to come back the next day. I told the employee it would still be at 5:30 and he said that would be okay. The next day, someone drove the Kia (without me) and said he could not feel the shaking and that I must be imagining it. The weekend after this I went to another service provider. We test drove it together and the shaking was noticeable. Their first recommendation was to go back to BSTS and give them a chance at redemption. I went back to BSTS and test drove it with another employee. He did all kinds of driving tests that would help him diagnose the problem. When we returned, he showed me some severe tire problems that had likely been a result of the front end shaking. However, he made no recommendations as to what to do next and pretty much sent me away. So I went back to the other service provider who performed a 4-wheel alignment and it had been seriously out of alignment. They also noticed the uneven wear and "chucking" on the tires. Not wanting any future tire problems, I decided to buy 4 new tires after the alignment from the other service provider. Now with a minor tire problem today, I was sent away because Chris would rather complain about the employees than really take the time to help a customer. P.S. I went to the BSTS location at Ridge and Highland and was treated very well. My minor tire issue was resolved very quickly and without cost. read more

I got a super deal on four tires at Bob Sumerel in Blue Ash. They were able to fit me in for a next day appointment and gave me a better price than two other major tire companies here in Cincinnati. They were super friendly when I was there and found an additional coupon for me, as well! There is a certain tire store that charges more due to the *free* alignment they offer, but what if I don't need it? Why am I paying the same price that someone that does need it pays? Bob Sumerel gives a free alignment check, and we're honest enough to say that I didn't need one. That won my repeat business for them. Check them out! read more

I've gone here several times. They charged me half of what other car places wanted to mount a couple of tires. I got new trailer tires for better price than I could find online or even Walmart. The manager was super nice and gave me his card and said to call for anything. I plan to use them in the future for new tires for my cars. I don't bother to use car places for routine maintenance because I'm a mechanic. Good for tire prices! I wouldn't take my car to a tire shop to have vehicle repairs done. read more

Very disappointed with the level of service I received. I had to leave a review for this company because the service sucked! I noticed I had a flat after leaving the Gym, I went to Bob Sumerel (AAA) on Kenwood Road @ 6:08 pm, they closed at 7. I explained to the staff my Tire pressure light was on, He said we can check it, the serviceman said that I had a nail in my tire and he could fix it for me today. I proceeded back in and the man at the desk said he cannot fix it, we are too busy, would you like to make an appointment for tomorrow. I said no thank you. I went to get my car and the serviceman said you didn't wan to wait...... I said No that's not it, the man at the desk said you'll are too busy. He said oh I'm sorry. By the time I left and made it to Tire Discounters on Kenwood road it was 6:36pm. I asked if they could repair my tire and they said yes!. It only took them 15 minutes to remove the nail and patch my tire up. Josh, Jed and Bam was all smiles and glad that they could help. I know Tire Discounters in Kenwood care about the people who walk in their doors. I left the place in less than 20 minutes satisfied with the level of service I received. My car broke down and AAA recommended using Bob Sumerel. Found out later that wasn't a smart decision. Bob Sumerel said I needed a new water pump because it was cracked. That was a lie or they didn't know what they were doing. Had my car towed to Don's Auto instead who gave me a fair deal and actually fixed what was wrong with my car. Then to find out that Bob Sumerel's took off my engine cover and never put it back on. Tried calling them several times to get them to replace it or just find it and they said it wasn't on there when I gave it to them. It was definitely on there when the tow truck jumped my car.
