Always a great experience especially for the DMV service. Started the process of transferring a title online due to Covid and as usual the DMV offices never got back to me and when they did email me back it was too late the case had closed i was furious . Finally when AAA opened its doors again for the DMV i waited in line with my mask and sanitizer in hand and they helped me right away i maybe waited 20 min if that and the person Jessica who helped me was friendly and patient with me when asking my questions, unfortunately i did not have the proper documentation i need (duh me) so she told me to fill it out and bring it back and she'll take me right away so i don't have to wait in Line .. and just like that (poof) the paperwork was filed and out for processing YAY!!!!!!!!!!! read more

This location has made me want to cancel my membership completely. They have had me running up and down to get my license plate tags renewed and when I finally get all their dumb requests situated, they take my debit card to renew my membership but would not accept my debit card for my tag renewal. When I asked why they took it for their membership but not for my tags they simply said "we just don't". They sent me to a Wells Fargo atm and when I got there it wasn't even working. They have wasted all this time with me and my tags are STILL NOT RENEWED! Now I need to go back AGAIN just to pay cash and finally have my tags renewed. This place has you jump through hoops for absolutely no reason it's ridiculous. Never recommending triple A to anyone ever again. Just get the towing from your insurance company cuz this definitely ain't worth it. I would have so much rather spent a whole day at the DMV than go through their circus acts. It has been 3 days of this and I'm hoping tomorrow is the last I ever have to see them again. read more

Lots of possible assistance here - from travel arrangements to DMV transactions to various forms of insurance. All employees I've dealt with over the years have been very nice and helpful. You can combine 2 insurances (i.e. car & home) and get a discount on both - WIN/WIN!!! Nicely located along Whittier Blvd, easy to access - only real down side is there really isn't very much parking and it's really tight spots. But you can always park in the HUGE parking lot in front of JoAnn's Fabrics right next door - it's never half full. read more

I got a flat tire this morning. AAA came through for me!! They got there in 10 minutes, changed my tire so quick! I am totally satified.

Talk about some rude little paper pushers! These guys used to be cool. Now they're just outright lazy and mean. The little guy that was at the DMV registration window seemed to hate his job. Yelled at me for coming to his window without being called. Then got mad because I was paying with a credit card! To top it off the lazy lady at the reception window also seemed angry that I was paying with a credit card! She wanted me to verify that it was a major credit card. I told her it was a Visa! Isn't that major enough? Lousy service. Get rid of this branch and turn it into a kiosk!!! read more

We got a flat tire heading home from the beach around 7:30 PM. Unfortunately our spare was flat too (note to self to check it once in awhile). We just needed the spare to get some air. Called AAA, first time in 30 years for a flat....no problem they will send someone in 45 minutes. An hour passes, no one shows, so we call back. They explain that the 'provider' declined our service request and they were having a hard time finding a company to come help us!!!really???? She says she will keep trying and call us back......wait....wait...no call so I call back. Still NOT ONE AAA place will come to our aid. After two hours I naively declare "should I just call a tow truck place myself and bill you for it?" Oh sure you can do that she says...let me send you the claim for. REALLY... she couldn't have suggested that herself to me hours earlier ? I googled Tow Trucks near me and one was there in 15 minutes, filled our tire and we were safely home. I get it they only contact with certain companies but if they aren't the right ones willing to work, what good are they? Not sure why I even have AAA anymore, so very very disappointed. Lesson learned though for future. Shape up AAA, .... And shame on your poor service through your contacted partners- they are a reflection of your company. read more

I'm not sure what were the complaints about. I was surprised to have a very pleasant experience during my first visit here at AAA Whittier. The process is fairly simple. You walk into the front desk, tell them the nature of your visit, and you get checked in. You'll sit in their waiting area and they will call you by name. Tell them what you were there for, and they'll help you out. If that simple process gets people irate and agitated, then that's an obviously their fault. A visit at AAA still feels like 20 times cozier than being at the DMV in all levels. read more

The fucken WORST! I was trying to save myself from having to drive to their office, so I call and was in hold for 25 minutes and still couldn't get through to anyone! I just gave up and left a voicemail. Hopefully someone will call me back. And if they do call back, it will probably be at 4:59pm a minute before they close. I dont know if its just the caliber of new hires, but at this branch i really seem to have a problem with customer service. The people are often curt and unhelpful. It seems they are eager to get rid of you so they can get back to their conversations or whatever. No eagerness to answer questions, follow up, or even to ask what your needs are. Worst customer service from Christina the Trainee at the front desk. Says my wife has to be a member in order for me to pay the car registration here. I've done it here before, but whatever...if that's the rules okay. But she could at least offer a solution to help out but I just opted to add her to my membership. Fact is she does not offer any solutions to customers to help them out and at least keep a pleasant experience here. Somebody talk to this girl please about manners too while they're at it. I've been to three different AAA locations in Orange County area, but this location is by far friendliest AAA I've ever been to. I got money back for one of my car that I did not need a coverage anymore, and I got more money back for joining AAA for Renter's insurance. With the money that I got back, I was able to pay one year worth of Renter's insurance and still got $18 back. Thanx to the AAA. I could tell that the person who was helping me (Her name was Marbella) was doing her best to save my cost down, as if it was her own matter. Yup found her business card, her name is Marbella Ward. Came to this location about 3 times but all the people who helped me was really nice and saved me tons of money. 5 stars and AAA for their excellent service. My wife and I had a very unsatisfactory experience when we booked a 3 week trip to Hawaii through AAA. The person who was supposed to coordinate the tour left out important details concerning extra costs and information about the hotels where we were supposed to stay. For example, hen we found out that the overnight parking fees for our rental car were $40 per night we decided to turn the car in one day early. We were told that the tour organizer, Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays would receive a credit of $65 for the early return, but when we tried to get AAA to issue a credit, they refused. We were also charged for gasoline that we put into the car, and it took more than two months for us to get a credit back for that. My recommendation is to find another travel agent who will pay more attention to the costs and details of your trip. read more

Not the biggest AAA office I've been in, but a nice one. Lots of parking in the back of the office (where the entrance is), and even a hand sanitizer dispenser inside the door! Hand sanitizer! Much like other AAA offices, you check in at a desk near the door, are put into the computer system, and asked to sit until called. The waiting area holds a moderate amount of people, although I could see running out of seats on Saturday mornings. A flat screen TV shows an endless amount of Princess Criuse promotional material. Watch out for the old people waiting in the same area; it seemed as if they overheard someone talking about anything they had anything vaguely related to talk about, they would. I was there for DMV services. I waited about 5-10 minutes for my name to be called, and was sent to a desk with a man who dealt with my problem swiftly and knowledgeably, and explained some stuff to me about what I needed to get done (smog CHECK vs. smog TEST are different. Huh). Transaction time: less than five minutes. I walked out glad I didn't have to deal with the DMV, and certainly got the process over with 20x faster than if I'd gone to the DMV. read more

I waited 1 hour and 50 minutes for a road side assistance. Just a tire change. They sent a tow truck to do that. I called them and hour after the time frame they told me they were going to arrive, only after I called they called the tow truck. Needless to say they were only 4 miles from my location! 4 miles! Absolutely great experience in a tough situation. My car had broken down on the 605 freeway at 9pm and David did a fantastic job loading up my classic mustang onto the truck and once we got to my house he was able to back-up hill in a tight driveway. He went above and beyond to help me. I hope that if I ever get into a tough situation like this again David is there to help me. read more

The staff is usually pretty helpful, but be prepared to wait a very long time for DMV services. I love that they offer DMV services, but it would be awesome if they could do it in a timely manner. There is ample parking in the back and it's usually not too crazy on the weekdays. read more

This is a newish building. The old AAA building was located by the Quad next to the little park. That building is now some type of doctors office. The new building is a lot larger and more spacious inside. If you come during the week there is never any wait and you are in and out. If you come on a Saturday or during weeks when schools and businesses are off you would have some type of wait. I went the week between Christmas and New Year to get tags for my car and was there for about 45 minutes. I have the middle tier when it comes to their membership. I've never had to use it but it's good to have just in case since my boyfriend and I make a lot of trips to Vegas and San Diego each year. I always make sure to get my travel books/guides so I could plan some type of exotic vacation every year, which never seems to happen. Everyone here was very courteous and friendly. I have never come across any rude employees at this location. read more

DISAPPOINTED with AAA of SoCal, they sent a Hadley Tow Battery service to help me, but they didn't have the battery I needed. They knew exactly what kind of car I have as a matter of fact Hadley Tow replaced my battery 2 years prior. I had to go find my own battery and install it myself. So why do I have AAA of So Calif if I have to do the work myself- WHY AM I PAYING YOU? I notice multiple Yelp complaints for AAA of So Cal and I note there are NO MANAGEMENT REPLIES to customers complaints. That reflects how management values their customers. read more

This rating if for AAA membership, not AAA insurance or the Whittier office specifically. The few times I've needed AAA assistance it was fine. The 3-star rating is due to membership pricing. Motorcycles are only covered under the RV/Motorcycle add-on coverage, so I have to pay almost double the annual fee to have my motorcycle included. Makes me feel ripped off by another corporate giant who doesn't have to care about a smaller segment of their customers. read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE. I've been a premier member for 26 yrs. Membership is not cheap like we all know. Today my Motorcycle broke down and I was stranded. I called AAA and they told me that I would get a tow truck in 30 minutes. They then called back and said they were unable to find a tow truck that can help me in the area and I would have to wait 3 to 4 hours for them to find one. Having the membership can seem pointless and a waste of money when the branch you are closest too is never available via phone or always rushing to get you out or long lines. This branch is horrible. If you plan on calling just know it's almost impossible to have someone answer the phone. If they do answer good luck with them being any help . I want to let everyone know that AAA does not change car batteries anymore are certain cars as I had an incident this past weekend with my daughters car in which they replaced the battery 2 years ago and it stopped working leaving her stuck Her car is a Nissan Sentra so I just wanted to let all the members know of this and to let you know that according to the person I spoke with they don't change batteries for BMW or Mercedes and Acura either. Not sure what the point is having a AAA if they can't help with this kind of stuff. read more

This has got to be the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Ridiculous premiums, and there policy's are garbage, not short of their customer service. I've had their roadside assistance for years with no problem, and have been completely happy with it. But their insurance side is truly just out to rob their customers. And to top it off, I received a bill for a remainder of my policy that was not used as I had already gotten insurance through a different company. Spoke to the supervisors who stated that even though my policy was in a lapse before cancellation, that I was still technically covered. We all know that these idiots would not cover me in a accident if my coverage is in a lapse! Shame on you AAA! I am now debating on keeping my roadside assistance with such a crooked company! read more
