Not very happy with AAA service dept. Last year when my jeep stopped running we had it towed to AAA and allowed them to do the repairs. At the time we were very pleased. The jeep started running rough then the " check engine" light came on and we took it in to a local shop. The test they ran said it was the 2 items that AAA had replaced so we took the jeep back to them since they were suppose to be guaranteed. They charged us $ 100.00 to run test then told us it needed to go back to the dealership to have the computer reset. We did that and had the repairs done. BUT we found out AAA could have reset the computer, that they probably never reset it when they did the repairs last summer AND they sent us to the dealership to cover up that the computer showed the issue was with their work. Just lost $100.00 by going there and it appears it an easy way for them to make money. read more

Everyone here was incredible! My friend and I were driving from Raleigh to Chicago when our car broke down just outside of Winston-Salem. We were able to get towed to this shop and the mechanics were amazing. Unfortunately, my car had reached the end of its life at 170,000+ miles, but everyone in the shop helped us in getting home. We were able to reserve a rental car out of the Greensboro airport and AAA gave us a ride all the way out there, waited for us to get our car, and helped reload our new car (we had a lot of junk to haul coming home from spring break). Honestly this was the best auto shop my friend and I could have hoped to stumble across. As 22 and 20 year old girls, we were panic-stricken with the thought of a broken car and how to get the 12 hours home to Chicago. Everyone was so great and I completely recommend! read more

Would have given 6 stars if available. Vehicle would not start, called AAA , and driver named Bob showed up.....a total professional and knowledgeable, diagnosed problem as bad battery. Said did not have correct battery for vehicle on his truck but had one at Stratford Road location. He jump started my vehicle. Told him thanks anyway and went to O'Reillys instead....wrong move. O'Reillys fellow charged me for battery first, then when at vehicle said uh oh, he couldn't change battery since had plastic duct work passing over top of the battery (KIA Sorento). Got refund from O'Reillys, called Bob at AAA, went there and he had battery replaced in 10-15 minutes. And was $20 less expensive and a has a long warranty period. I took my car in for an annual inspection. The mechanic found that two filters were dirty. They were brought out for my inspection, so I had them replaced as well. I am very pleased with the service at S. Stratford Rd, Winston-Salem, NC! Let me also add that several months ago, I had a drained battery due to my own mistake. I called AAA and before long, my battery was charged and I was rolling again. Finally, during the last snow storm my husband backed his truck off the driveway and couldn't get back on the pavement. We called AAA and before long he was on the driveway. We've been members since 1993. This is the most we've ever needed help, but it's nice to know the service is there when we need it. While travelling to Winston-Salem for a lunch date, my car started making funny noises. Didn't think much about it until I was ready to head back home. Now the car was squealing. It was 3:50pm when I pulled into the AAA car center and the crew (Micah, Jeff and Angela) were wonderful. Ended up a broken water pump and had I pushed it any more, I would have been in a heap of trouble. But ... even though they were preparing to close at 4:00pm, the front desk and mechanics stayed and made the car whole again. Can't say enough!!! read more

The service was great. The team was very knowledgeable about vehicle care and suggested services. They weren't pushy about what they suggested, but made sure I was very informed. The waiting lounge was another plus. I was originally given an hour lead time and was please see a lounge that offered TV, vending machines and internet surfing. AAA towed our burned out car to their facility and then referred me in to someone to have the car taken to the junk yard at no cost to me. Better yet I received money for the car with a free tow to the junk yard! I would definitely call the S. Stratford location again if needed. They were prompt and efficient during a very stressful time. read more

Very honest mechanics! I have an old truck, they fixed what they knew they could fix and understood their limitations for what they could not instead of damaging it. Good price and easy to tow the vehicle there. read more
