Thought an outside storage unit would be convenient. Spoiler: it's just convenient for raccoons, spiders, and what I can only assume is a colony of goblins. Opened my unit and was greeted by a spider the size of a toddler who now legally owns my camping gear. Rain? Pours directly in front of my door like it's targeting me specifically. Sun? Turns the metal door into a surface so hot I could grill burgers on it. Wind? Slammed the door shut so hard I thought I was in a Michael Bay movie. Security cameras? Oh, they're there--pointed exactly away from my unit. Pretty sure one of them is just a sticker. If you're looking to store your stuff outdoors, save the money and just throw it in your backyard. At least then you won't need a gate code and a tetanus shot read more

I used to love AAAA storage. But I honestly cannot wait to move my stuff out now. I don't know if they upgraded their Point of sale system or what. About 4 months I started getting an authorization the day after my payment posted. I called about it and asked the office manger and was told it wasn't on their end. Three days later the authorization would fall off. It was annoying because they would literally tie up two full payments for those three days. Now some wonderful genius decided it would be better for businesses if they could hold authorizations up for 8 days. So of course AAAA decided if they can then they should. So now they hold up two payments for eight days. They cannot or will not do anything about it. I went into the office to pay at the counter thinking hey it's a POS they won't do it this month. Well guess what they did! So I recommend a different storage facility or payment only in cash. Received a response from Alison B. I called the phone number she listed. I got the run around no one has called me from the business office. I received a call from location manager however. but she has already told me there is nothing she can do. So why bother responding to negative reviews offering help just to further add insult to injury. read more

Was super easy to get my unit and even the free truck. Staff was absolutely amazing and helpful. I wish more business had the type of customer service that they provided. The unit is clean and spacious. Easy to get in and out of. I don't have any complaints. read more

Excellent customer service! Friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I have a climate controlled unit and it is clean and secure. I felt very comfortable knowing that there are security cameras and staff providing a secure and safe environment when I access my unit after hours. I highly recommend this company for all your storage needs. read more

The staff does their job well they are knowledgeable and friendly they even remember my name when i come in to pay which makes me feel valued as a customer. History

Established in 1975.

Our Milcamp self-storage facility located 2151 S. Military Hwy, Chesapeake, Virginia 23320, is right beside BP Gas Station, and is centrally located to serve the neighborhoods off of South Military Highway and Campostella Road. The facility is just over 73,000 square feet with 692 units. The units are contained between 2 three story climate controlled buildings and 3 single story buildings giving you quick and easy drive-up access to your storage unit. The facility is gated with a key pad entry/exit access, you will have access to your unit 365 days a year. Our trained storage managers are ready to help you select the right storage space for your needs. They can give you tips on the best ways to pack your items for safety and to get the most into the smallest space. They can counsel you on how to protect your property and if we do not have the space you need we can recommend a facility nearby that can accommodate the size needed.

I was impressed from the time I walked in the door of AAAA, just to inquire. The representative was very helpful, didn't mind showing me the different size units, and gave the needed information to help my decision in renting a unit. When I decided and return to rent the unit, the manager was even more helpful and informative. This made me feel appreciated and a valued customer. I am very big on customer service and AAAA was excellent. The units were clean as well as the property, it made me feel my items were protected and secure. Best storage place I've used thus far. David the manager was super helpful and a nice guy to deal with. They run the normal types of storage specials. They give you a free lock at move in and you can use their truck for free (pay mileage). On a side note they do require insurance to rent from them. Great place and highly recommend. read more
